"So many new children scurrying about." Problem cooed staring across the crowded underground courtyard as a plethora of young ones gathered into hesitant groups and began conversing in the dim illusory light spreading out from the grand open windows that lined the towering walls about them. The nightmares expression hovered somewhere between fond and cold as if she wasn't quite sure how she felt about the little ones that had flocked under the safety of their banner. Truly it was astounding how much their dream had flourished, how much this safe haven of theirs had truly become just that. She was glad for it, in a way.
Glad that these children had found safety under their shadow, a place to call home in a world plagued by turmoil and persecution. Her tentacles flicked about in an almost reflexive anger at the thought of so many children being forced to hide in shadows that while comfortable and familiar to her, might not be so to them. "So many children." She murmured again.

Ash bounced up to her Mother, greeting her with a bow of her head. Ash held her arms tightly behind her back, rocking on the heels of her bare feet. She did this for a moment, then looked to Problem's face. She couldn't quite read it. That bothered Ash. "What are you doing?" she asked hurriedly, raising a brow. She continued to roll on her heels.

Problem turned from the milling crowds to look at her daughter and her expression warmed considerably. "Nothing important dear." She soothed stroking a hand down the side of the antlered child's face. "I suppose I'm just thinking."

A small figure walked up the the two standing there. "Hi mamma problem, hi ash!"
Princely held on to the cloth of Problem's robes and looked around with a toothy grin. "There are so many new people, its so exciting!"

Ash leaned into the caress, smiling in response. She lifted a brow, "I didn't know you did things considered unimportant," she mocked slightly. "And, oh? What may you be thinking about?" She asked curiously before she could stop herself. She jumped slightly at the one called Prince's arrival. A welcoming grin pulled at her lips, "Oh, hello Prince!"

Problem laughed further warmed by the exuberance of one of her newer children. "Yes there are," she dropped her free hand atop the small ones head, "have you made any new friends?"

She turned her attention back to Ash as Prince considered her question. "Everyone needs time for reflection." Problem told her squeezing her nose gently and briefly. "And I was thinking about them." The nightmare nodded towards the many children in the courtyard.

"I talked to a few, though I'm more of a tour guide then a friend if anything" They said as they scrunched up their nose and sighed in dismay. "Some seem really nice though, well not to nice but that is expected I guess"

Her face scrunched at the pinching of her nose, pulling her palm to cover her face. She nodded, understanding her mothers cryptic response. Then her eyes narrowed as she looked in the direction of her mother's nod. "Oh.. them," she hissed in a nasally voice, her hand still covering her mouth.

"Hmmm," The nightmare hummed stroking the scowling Ash's head gently. "You both seem to have very different views of the new ones." She commented quietly. "But neither view is a particularly pleasant one." Problem looked down at Prince who seemed more distressed then angry as Ash did and asked, "What do you mean by tour guide Little Prince? And Ash," she turned to her fiery tempered daughter who was still scowling in the direction of the new ones, "What have they done to incense you already?"

"I talk to them then they ask question, then leave to go visit others. I mean its cool because they are newbies but I still cant stand being used for such petty things" Princely looked down, grumbling something under their breath, "That's my job to do..."

"Exactly!" Ash practically exploded, shouting. "They're all just so... new," she pressed her lips in a thin line, still eyeing the new-comers. No, they never did anything to her, she just didn't trust the lot. It was too much for her at once.

Problem chuckled and dragged both children close. "Everyone is new at some point." She cooed one of her tentacles coming up to wrap around Prince's shoulders as she smoothed her hand through Ash's hair. "Even you and your brother were at one point. And Little Prince, maybe they're just weary of truly approaching you. Meeting new people is rather frightening after all. And we've had time to grow used to each other, form bonds that they can't touch or understand."
She took in the half glances the young children around the courtyard kept tossing in their direction and the way they hovered close but not close enough to intrude. Weary. "There's few things more frightening then new places with old bonds."

Ash slouched, leaning into her mother's touch. She sighed contently, looking to the crowd, her gaze softening. "I suppose," She tilted her head, thinking about the bonds shes created. She barely remembers when her and her twin joined, but she does remember it was rather rough.

Looking around they felt a presents, something was looking and it felt strange. "Momma, over there," Princely pointed in the direction of the halo individual "one seems to be interested in our conversation~ Maybe they want to play?" Princely let go of Problems clothes and stood up a little taller trying to look... presentable at best.
