Rasmus stood on his hindlegs to show the flame floating over his heart. He dropped down to all fours again and continued walking. "Mama only needs one of his hearts...the string connecting him and his heart has yet to be severed," Rasmus explained. The hatchling yawned,"I know my way through this place very easily...mama taught me how to navigate the caverns at home and the tunnels here," Rasmus said, feeling very proud of himself as he smiled.

Rasmus tilted his head to the side and looked to Aku. Rasmus understood what Jeu had said, he just didn't like the fact that his mother was being blamed. Rasmus originally lived with Caleum, not Enfer, but the hatchling followed him into the cult and everything continued on from there. "Come on Aku," Rasmus said, doing the complete opposite as he was told and ran to catch up. "May I ask a question Ms. Jeu?" Rasmus asked

"How are you so smart? How do you memorize so many things? How do you float without wings?" Rasmus' eyes sparkled with interest as he stared up at her. His tail wagged excitedly as he waited.

Back at the reaper's "room", Aly stared at the corpse on the ston slab with a certain degree of horror. She never quite found out how reapers worked, but this seemed to be one. She reached out and brushed against the fog with the feathers at the tip of her wing, and shuddered. She could feel the mind of the reaper somewhere near, but the presence seemed to be shrouded in fog, like the body on the slab. She could feel Jeu and some other creature near, and resisted the urge to rush out of the strange room and towards them. A red book caught her eye, and she shifted towards it, setting the glass jar down and nudging it with a wing. She lifted the book off the table and turned it around, examining it.

Rasmus tilted his head to the side,"it's bad for me to ask random questions?" The hatchling always asked questions whenever he encounter a new cult member, whether it be relevant or not. "I'm sorry..." The hatchling hung his head, his tail going between his legs once again, but not out of fear. It was mainly nervousness.

The body didn't move as her company, it lay looking at the ceiling. Around the cramped room was little light so it was hard to determine much and made it that much more...eerie. The fog was beginning to become denser in the small room, it might have been a defense mechanism. The feeling of lingering eyes was upon her; creeping down her back as she examined the book.
Soft scratching sounds followed soon after, unable to properly pinpoint them as they grew from all around. A low dry moan had added to the ambiance, it was beginning to pick up volume the longer she stayed.

Rasmus nodded. "Thank you...I'll go home now..." Rasmus kept his head down as his tail drooped, dragging against the ground. Aku perched on Rasmus' back as the hatchling walked.
"Hey, cheer up little dragon."
"Dante, why is she angry with mama?" Rasmus asked, not looking at the possessed bird. "Well...Enfer could be the one to blame for allowing you to join this cult..." Dante explained. "But I wanted to be with mama...I followed so I should be blamed," Rasmus stated. Dante sighed, which was more of a drawn out caw in the birds body,"you're just a child Rasmus, it's not that easy to take the blame for things, especially one this serious...now, let's just stop this conversation, okay?" Rasmus nodded as he came to the three paths again and went down the correct one this time, heading toward the exit.

"Come on now," Aly said loudly, trying to keep her voice from wavering. "That's a bit too much, isn't it?" She looked around nervously, her hair swishing and the flames at the end of them flickering. She was suddenly glad that she wasn't holding the jar, and that she was holding the book with telekinesis, and not hands that would be shaking if she had any.

From below her feet, in the poorly lit room, the floor looked as if it was moving. With a twitch everything died down; no moaning or scratching.
Click...Clack
The moving floor stopped immediately.
Click...Clack
It wasn't coming from outside
Click...
IT sounded like rough sticks rubbing against each other.
Click...
With a final click, a voice finally followed
"That is my property...."
The sound of cracking bones soon echoed through the hallway as the corpse rose up.
Clack

This time, Aly actually dropped the red book. Her wings fluffed up and she scrunched herself up, looking like a feathery black orb with her wings folded around her entire body and hovering a few feet off the ground. "S-sorry," she managed to squeak. "H-here, you can have it back." She made the book float toward the corpse. "I didn't look in it," she hurried to say.

Twisting his crooked head to the left then right with two loud snapping sounds. Its thin and boney structure lifted itself now completely upright to gaze down at her. His jaw hanging partially open; the empty sockets gazing now at her fully.
"Regardless, I do not think anyone else, including I, appreciate unannounced guests..."
His hand, dull, cracked and frail looking grasped the book's spine; the short talon claws quickly hinged themselves onto it.
"You frightened my friends as well..."
He brought the book to his chest and continued examining her; he hasn't met this one yet. Perhaps he was being a little harsh.
"I apologize...Would you care to just announce your visit next time so I do not frighten you again?"

Aly bobbed her head up and down, her toes curling tight. She tried to grin at the grotesque figure, but only managed a weak grimace. "O-oh, I do apologize," she said nervously. "I shouldn't have just walked right in." She paused for a moment and, slowly unfolding herself to stand on the ground without being wrapped in her wings, said, "I don't believe we've met. I'm Aly, pleased to make your acquaintance."

Lowering his stature so he wasn't as intimidating, he moved passed her to place the book back upon its home.
"No we have not. Please this is not the best place to do introductions." He raised a hand and motioned to the crack leading back outside to the hallway.
"If it is not too much trouble; I feel it be less...stuffy."
He had a point; the fog was taking up most residence in his little room.

Aly nodded hastily, smoothing down her ruffled feathers. "Oh, yes, of course." She shuffled awkwardly out the crack, almost tripping on her own feet. She was beginning to get used to the appearance of her currant company, but she stared at the eye sockets that he seemed to be able to see out of. "I, err... you're a, what, reaper? Something close to that?" She couldn't help but ask once she was out of the stuffy room.

Slipping out without trouble as if he wasn't even solid. Cracking a few bones he adjusted himself; that nap was pretty deep for a brief one. He nodded to her question.
"That is correct, I am." he gave a small smile. "I take it you are a harpy. Is that a safe enough guess?"
He was looking at his new 'friend' up and down; well at least he hoped it would be a new friend. Looking over his shoulder he found himself now facing Jeu once again; wasn't THIS is a surprise.
