Ticobell was minding his own business, curled up in a cozy chair next to the window among his books. Each and every one of them lovingly stacked as high as the cieling. That's when he suddenly heard a strange rustling sound coming from a pile of books near his door. "Who's there?" he suddenly called out. To whom, he did now know... yet.

Whimsy had giggled silently when she had gotten into the stranger's house so easily. Of course, these things came naturally to her and causing trouble was her forte. At least... it USUALLY was.
*CLAAAACK*
Whimsy winced as the books toppled over, making a loud clattering sound as they fell to the floor. OKAY. So, mayyybe, taking the books out from the middle of the stack was a bad idea. Whimsy quickly pulled her hood over her head in attempt to hide, knowing that the other would have heard that. They were in the same room after all.

Ticobell's head snapped up immediately at the sound of the falling pile of books and sighed.
"And just after I managed to clean this place up, too."
He walked over to where the mess was, and saw a long, fuzzy appendage sticking out from behind an entirely different stack of books. He grabbed the supposed tail and pulled on it, the events occurring next being the very last thing he was expecting to happen.

"Eeep!" She squeaked out, pulling her tail back and closer to her. She glared softly at the other from behind the hood, "Hey! That wasn't very nice, you know?"
Well, it wasn't nice to break into another person's house and steal their things for fun either... but that was besides the point. After a moment, she sighed, pulling her hood back and biting the insides of her cheeks. The young hybrid pulled a book out of her satchel, and held it out to the man. "It's no fun being caught." She huffed, her bag still holding two other books she'd managed to take.
Perhaps, if he thought he had all of his books, he'd let this slip. Hopefully.

Ticobell took back the books handed to him that the girl had attempted stealing, but he could sense that she probably wasn't being quite honest, but he couldn't be certain. Time to bluff things through just to make sure."And you should know that it isn't very nice to lie to the person you're stealing from."
The necromancer was quite adept at knowing the precise location of each and every one of his books, and the one that was supposed to be at the top of the fallen stack was nowhere to be seen. No one messed with his books. However, the same could not be said for just about anything else he had. Especially the trinkets littered about the room.

"Didn't lie." Whimsy said smoothly, raising a brow as she ran the tips of her fingers across a book nearby, teasingly.
Technically, she didn't lie. She just said that it was no fun being caught. So...
Whimsy laughed at the thought. It definitely wasn't kindly for her to keep things from people, but she certainly wasn't lying.

The redhead raised an eyebrow at how smoothly she dodged his bluff, but his eyes snapped to the book she was touching. If she tried something, there would be hell to pay. In a more literal sense of course. Ticobell's shoulders slumped a bit, then he suddenly grabbed her by the hood, dragged her to the door, and tossed her into the snow outside.
"Don't let me catch you stealing anything here again," he yelled after her. And despite his words, he hoped this intersting person would try to come back, with her corky antics and his missing book.

The hybrid blinked when she was dragged to the door, and yelped when she was thrown out.
"W-wait!" She made an 'oof' sound when she was tossed into the snow. The wet. Freezing. Snow. Whimsy slowly got up and dusted herself off, causing the clumps of snow to fall back to the ground. She shivered and crossed her arms together in attempt of warmth. "Wait," she repeated, her ears down, "please. It's cold out here. You can have your stupid books, I-I don't even want them!" She exclaimed numbly at the others doorstep.
"Please?... I don't have anywhere else to go..." She begged, hoping he'd let her in. Whimsy really was cold- and she hadn't planned on getting kicked out.

Great. Now he felt guilty for kicking her out so rudely. But he couldn't help overreacting when someone messed with his books! ... Okay, that's not a good enough reason. Letting out a sigh, he called or to the now-shivering cat girl "Alright, you can come back in. But hands off the books, okay?" He then walked back inside to make something warm to drink, not bothering to see if the strange girl would follow him back inside.

Whimsy nodded, carefully placing the stolen books from her bag with the others that had fallen after she'd so clumsily knocked them down. She then shook off the melting snow similar to how a dog would shake off water after a bath. Her ears perked up and she followed the other.
"Whatchya doing?" She asked, curiously, looking up at the male.

"Making sure you don't freeze to death because of me" came the quick reply. "By the way, what's your name? I haven't seen you around the cult's mansion. Then again, I mostly hang out here inbetween missions and odd jobs in this nicely attached yet separate shack out here."
He smiled to himself while he made his way to the water boiler. He turned to face the hybrid "Also, do you like coffee, hot cocoa, or both?"

"Both." The girl grinned, "The name's Whimsy." She added on, "What's your name?" Whimsy asked, tilting her head and watching as he prepared the water.
The hybrid made an invisible platform, using it as a stool to match the strangers hight. She gave a giddy laugh, and looked to him expectantly.

Ticobell almost jumped when he saw her sitting at his height. "I call myself Ticobell. Ticobell Kiritan. So, what do you do, Whimsy? Well, aside from stealing things of course."
He grabbed a pair of old chipped cups that looked like they belonged on a museum. Not as nice as mugs, but better than drinking the odd mixture of coffee and cocoa straight from the pot!
((Aaa, I gotta hit the hay for now. I hafta get up at butt-o-clock in the morning for work.))

"Well, Ticobell, I wreak havoc." Whimsy laughed, "and stealing is a part of that." She said with the roll of her wrist. "Usually I just sleep in random people's houses and eat their food, since the only money I ever get is the money I steal from other's pockets."
She wasn't afraid to admit that, and she didn't exactly feel guilty about it. This was something she did often, and it's not like Whimsy would be stealing any more of his things.
(Understood! I actually had to go to sleep as well. ^_^)

Ticobell chuckled at Whimsy's response as he poured the warming drink into the cups. "Well, that's certainly a good way to make a lot of enemies." Handing the cup over to her, he sat down on a nearby stool.
"So why'd you decide to target my place instead of one belonging to a snackrifice?"
