Scorpius was inspecting the flame wall, slashing at any vines that snuck through. He had left his three bodyguards back at the catacombs to rest since they had been badly injured fighting the vines earlier.
He lit his pincer, burning the plant remains and throwing them back through the wall at the forest. He watched the huge wall carefully, ensuring its stability.
He didn't know he was also being watched.

Laevith watched Scorpius from the forest, peeking through the small portal that she had opened on the wall of the manor. She could see him slashing at the vines, and if she squinted through the thick wall of flames she could see him, a faint dark shape moving about.
A wide grin split her face, her pointed teeth glinting in the firelight. He'll do nicely, she thought. He seemed to be very loyal to Tapi; something she could admire and scorn. He might have information on their side of things.
She pushed through the portal and broke out the side of wall near Scorpius as though breaking the surface of a thick pool of liquid. The void rippled around her as she lunged at him and gripped his upper arms tight from behind him, her claws digging into his jacket, then jerking him backwards towards her and the portal.

Scorpius almost sensed the ripple in space behind him, but he was too distracted by the fiery mass in front of him. He lit his pincer, swinging it wildly as he was restricted and pulled back through the portal. "L-Let go of me!"
When he had gone through the portal, he had expected a small concrete room or even Famosity's smug face. He saw neither. He was in a small clearing with a lone oak tree in the middle, rope and chains on the ground. He looked at his captor, eyes widening when he saw it was Laevith. "L-Lae! L-let go of me! What're you gonna do to me?!"

Laevith chuckled quietly, pulling Scorpius forward. Her claws dug through his jacket on one of his arms, just barely grazing his skin, as she pulled up the ropes with her other hand. Pressing him against the tree with her arm while he was still disoriented from going through the portal, she made quick work of tying him up, rope around his limbs and chains securing him to the tree, then leaned back.
"Helloooo, Scorpius," she purred, drawing out the "o" in the words. "This isn't the most pleasant way to meet again, is it?" She circled him and the tree a few times, her tail winding around the tree.
"Of course," she continued before he could interject, "We could avoid all this... unpleasantness, if you'd tell me as much as you know about what's happening in the manor." She propped her elbow on his shoulder and rested her head on her hand.
"How about it, hmm?" She bared her teeth again, glancing at him with slightly narrowed eyes. "A little bit of goodwill to avoid the unpleasantries? I won't hurt you if you cooperate, of course," she concluded, examining the claws on her other hand.

Scorpius scowled before spitting straight at Lae's face. "If you're implying you're going to torture me, then do your worst. You aren't getting anything out of me." He leaned away from Lae, trying to steady his breathing and figure out a way to escape before Lae hurt him too much for him to run. "So what'll it be first? Fire? Sharp sticks? Cmon, bring it on, snake.
Something primal inside him stirred. He didn't like being this close to an apex predator with venom just as potent as his own.

Laevith wiped her face off slowly, glaring at Scorpius, her eyes gaining the slightest glow. He'd want to run, but she'd stop him first. Her instincts were telling her to finish him off as soon as possible, the prospect of a scorpion with similar venom as hers running free making her uncomfortable.
"I'll start you off easy then," she whispered in his ear, before gripping his arm; the one without the pincer; and a swirl of nothingness swallowed it up just past his elbow. It didn't bleed, but one could see the seemingly clean cut, the bone and muscles revealed. Within one of her empty Rooms, a single arm appeared, blood pumping into it from nowhere, fingers still twitching.

This had been a mistake. It was going to be more painful than he had expected it to be, this torture.
When his arm disappeared, Scorpius screamed out in shock and complete horror at the sight of the muscle and bone inside his arm. He writhed and tussled, unable to break free of the expert rope tying.
"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO?!"

Laevith snickered in his ear. She could sense the arm in her Room writhing just as much the rest of him was, and she gave a small sigh.
"You know, you could've gone the easy way." She gave another soft chuckle. "Want some more, little scorpion?" She trailed a claw down the side of his neck, a long thin cut, while being careful not to release much venom. Losing his limb hit Scorpius seemed to hit him harder than she thought it would. Well, this was one particular insight that she wasn't about to let go of.
"What next? Your pincer? Your tail?" She leaned in close to his ear again, slowly sliding the same hand around to rest softly on his neck. Her hand was cool against his clammy skin.
"Your head?" She whispered in an amused tone, her breath tickling his ear. "Or, are you ready to tell me about the manor?"

Scorpius breathed slowly, his eyes dilated. "Nnnggghhhh... Please... stop this, Lae... Do anything, just don't touch my tail, please!" He leaned away from her, trying to get away from her whispering voice. "I'm not telling you anything! Just let me go!" He struggled more, unable to break free of the ropes or Lae's winding body.
He lit his pincer ablaze, attempting to break free, but his arms were tied down and his couldn't move his pincer at all. "P-Please... I have a son..."

Laevith sighed, shaking her head and leaning back. Her fingers trailed away from his neck, her claws losing the contact last as they tapped against the bottom of his chin. "Now, now, that's no way to act. I thought we had come to an agreement." She circled him again, pursing her lips. "A son, eh? I'm sure that he wouldn't be too pleased to get his father back in pieces, would he?" She crossed her arms and made a show of examining him head to toe. "How about a foot to balance things out, hmm?" She tapped the end of her tail against his left foot. The same swirl of void that had taken his arm swallowed his left foot as well, stopping just above his ankle. The fabric showed no sign of being cut off. In her Room, a foot appeared near the arm, a ring of expensive-looking fabric hovering around the ankle. "Can't be that hard to cooperate, can it? How about a few numbers, hmm? How many are confirmed to be sworn to Tapi? Sworn to fight the forest?" She flicked her tail slowly, blinking slowly, the crazed grin on her face replaced with a lazy smirk, as if this was just another chore.

"GAAAHH! Please! Please stop!" The scorpion King screamed out, freaking out that his arms and legs were disappearing but there was no pain to make him black out. "I-I don't know how many there are! And if I did I wouldn't tell you!" He swung his tail around, stinging Lae's tail deeply before injecting fire into the wound. "Let me go, asshole snake!" He struggled more, moving his body around spastically.
In the Room, his foot and arm touched each other, and he definitely felt it. "Wait... my limbs aren't gone... you moved them to a pocket dimension! Don't even have the courage to really hurt me, do you?"

Laevith snarled, her smile gone now. She unwound herself from the tree, inspecting her wound. The skin on her tail was beyond tough, but this scorpion had managed to pierce the skin. The fire burned, but wasn't bad enough for her to not be able to ignore it. She slammed her hand onto his tail and another patch of darkness swallowed half of it, making it reappear in the cage.
"Alright, then. The gloves are coming off now," she muttered as she lunged towards him, slamming her flattened hand, claws first, into his arm.
"Try me, dear," she purred as she curled her fingers, sharp claws scratching his bone. "You must know something, little scorpion. If you won't give me numbers, then tell me; what does Tapi have planned?"
She dug her fingers around the inside of his arm for a second more, then pulled it out with a wet squelch. She wriggled her fingers, letting some of the blood drip off, then wiped the rest of it on her torn skirt.
"Any secret weapons, so to speak, you'd like to tell me about? Or wouldn't, for that matter?"

Scorpius watched in horror as his tail disappeared, the one part of him that was extremely sensitive and easily hurt had been taken, ported into some negative space he didn't know about or could see into. He yelled out in fear and terror, trying as hard as possible to look away from his body that looked like it had just been through an automatic meat slicer. He closed his eyes; horrified at the sight of his muscles and bone twitching and moving inside himself. "Please... I-I'll do anything... Just let go of- aaaAAAAHH!!"
Laevith had slammed her sharp, venemous claws into the inner muscle of his arm, and was grinding the sharp points against the bone inside. The pain was unbearable, a sharp grating sound causing even more stress and trauma for the scorpion king. He looked over at the claws that squelched in his open arm, horrified to know that they would cause massive internal bleeding. He was an arm, a foot and a tail down, and he didn't want to find out what would happen if he continued disobeying the snake-lady... but he couldn't betray his friends either. "I-I don't know! I wasn't even informed of anything!! Please... I really don't know! Ask me something else, anything else!" He was lying of course, he knew of one secret weapon: Lee. He just didn't know where the dragon was or when Tapi was going to use them.

Laevith sighed and ran her hand across her face before running her fingers through through her hair, leaving dark streaks of blood across her face and in her pale hair. She wasn't too familiar with Scorpius, but she hadn't anticipated him to be this stubborn. Her impassive face gave no sign of her irritation besides her slightly clenched jaw.
"You'll do anything? Then give me an answer," she hissed, twisting a strand of hair around her blood-stained finger. He had to know something, he had to be lying. There was no way that he could be completely ignorant.
She grabbed his shoulder, the one with the pincer instead of a hand, and dug her claws in. She sliced through the fabric of his suit and his skin easily, blood oozing thickly around her fingers.
"Tell me what your numbers are, and tell me what Tapi has. Now."

"N-Never! I've been through worse than this... Much worse. I'm not telling you anything! You can slash me open all you want, you can port parts of me across the world, you can grind a spear into my gut, and I still won't tell you anything." He looked at her, defiant. He was just playing it off though, he knew he couldn't stand the torture for much longer, and he would break soon. He looked around, noticing a slight rumble in the forest and roaring from far off. He ignored it.
Setting his pincer ablaze, he focused the fire, concentrating it enough to burn through a single rope and bring his pincer down, trying to harm his captor's long, winding body.
