Ghosts were starting to appear out of the blue around the town. Witnesses knew that they didn't belong in the world (or perhaps they were in the world all along, just in hiding) due to the pencil-like appearance. The ghosts were violent and lashed out at people who weren't careful enough on the streets. In just 2 weeks things became eerily silent. Barely anyone came out in fear that they would get attacked and nearly forgot about the creatures that were lurking in the shadows.
In the catacombs located under the mansion of the Candle Cult, things weren't any different. The ghosts were wandering around the corridors and gave trouble to anyone passing through. Odd thing was, there seemed to be more ghosts. Could it possibly be due to the Cult's spookiness?
Morphodoe had the unfortunateness of entering the catacombs-- and getting lost. She was able to outrun the ghosts, but all she wanted to do was get out of there. "Dang it! Why did I choose to explore?!" She murmured to herself. Her ears perked up at the smell of someone familiar. They were up ahead. She quickly picked up the pace as to not miss them and rounded the corner.

She was wandering the catacombs when someone nearly bumped into her. "Woah hey! What's the rush?" she asked the anxious looking girl.

Morphodoe jumped back a few feet away with her hair sticking up. She also emitted a screech in the process.
She calmed down when she saw the person to be another cultist. She breathed out a sigh of relief and answered, "I'm sorry. There's are ghosts down here and I got lost. . . Wait, what are you doing here?"

Echo was walking through the catacombs looking for a moth that flown. She was scared and alone, and what scared her even more where the voices ahead. Where they ghosts?

"Wah! Godammit!" Enfer cried in fear as he ran through the catacombs as fast as he could, he was utterly terrified of ghosts and he wasn't going to get over his fear today.
Why are you running? You literally have a poltergeist possessing you!?
"Shut up Dante! You're not the one being chased so let me keep running!" Enfer shouted at the shapeshifter as he kept running until he ran into someone.

Echo kept moving, scared to stay in one place. Her face lit up as She heard Dante's voice in her head. "That must mean Enfer's here." She spoke to herself

Morphodoe's ears twitched at the sound of Enfer and Echo's voice. She pinpointed them to be. . . Well, somewhere nearby. . . Or were the voices bouncing off the walls getting to her? But either way, she and the other cultist weren't alone.

Echo looked up, rubbing her own head. "Enfer!" She jumped on him, giving him a bear hug.

"Technically I was following a moth but yeah the ghosts too." Echo put herself behind Enfer's leg in his cloak as they walked. "You think I should shift or stay small? I'm questioning my bravery in both forms." She shuddred at the thoughts of the ghosts.

"Well...being small means you're faster on your feet but if you shift, you can use your wings to fly so either is a good option," Enfer said,"I'm also considering to let Dante take over while I just stay in my mindscape..." The hybrid said, flinching when he heard a sound.

Around the corner walked a tall figure resembling a monkey with lanky appendages. Flying out of its mouth was something that looked like black smoke. Its beady black eyes spotted Enfer and Echo.

"I want to change." And with that, she grew into older Echo. "Well, let's figure this place out." She started walking only to freeze. "Um, Enfer something's watching us." Her wings folded protectively around her, stopping halfway.

Yeah, we've noticed for quiet some time...
Dante appeared in his shadow form, flicking one of the piercings on his ears,"it's one of those ghosts Enfer was running from," the shapeshifter said and just as he said this, the hybrid yelped and clung to Dante who sighed, and pet his head.
