((I know I haven't participated as much as I probably should in this cult post-wise but in light of the whole Puppeteers incident, I've decided to shed a bit more light on Call's backstory and personality))
Call is not human and has no gender but she prefers to go by female pronouns so as not to confuse those feeble-minded. As for what she actually is...well, she was molded by physical nightmares about two centuries ago so she's fairly young. Underneath her robes and her hood, she appears to be a hybrid between a feral dog and a lion, with a green flame for eyesight and her sole mouth for devouring. It sort of looks like a blob mushed together with fangs and fire. She allows no one but her worst enemies to see underneath, and that's usually before she devours their nightmares. She is surprisingly violent but has never actually killed someone before. Having no arms or legs also kind of hinders that fact.
She has to absorb night terrors in order to stay strong and can't go more than a week without feeding. She has learned over the years how to manipulate dreams a bit as well and finds it amusing when humans scream in terror during their sleep. Sunlight also weakens her and she usually only ventures outdoors in twilight, preferring to avoid any natural sunlight.
She doesn't normally eat human food (thinks most of it is disgusting and pointless) but ever since she tried spaghetti (which was due to discovering it in some poor soul's nightmare) she's been eating that occasionally. Call doesn't entirely understand why it is so delicious, almost as delicious as a child's fright during a bad dream...but she definitely enjoys slurping it to annoy people.
The nightmare entity technically doesn't have a name. The only reason she does is because people had been commenting a few decades back about how they didn't know what to call her so out of spite she told them to just call her Call due to this. It eventually stuck and sort of backfired on her because now she actually likes the title - although it does confuse people when she is introduced sometimes.
The reason Call is claustrophobic is due to an incident she won't mention or even talk about that occurred when she was only a couple decades old. Ever since she can't stand to be anywhere small or enclosed. Talking to people in general is a chore in her opinion so Call doesn't do it often, usually only to those she deems important or to those technically higher up than her in the cult. The whole reason she joined the cult was due to boredom and it wasn't like she was going to miss her soul once she gave it up anyway. Besides, some of these creatures were actually...not quite as ridiculous as she had first made them out to be. She wouldn't go as far to call them friends....
How about acquaintances? Can't go around looking weak, now can we?
