Galia groaned when she stepped on the bus. The kids around her were laughing and cheering and it was overall chaos. She wished she hadn't blown her drivers test... She glanced around for any signs of sanity or at least less mayhem when she saw a girl sitting in the back.
"Do you mind if I sit here." She asked quietly to the girl.

The girl looked at her for a moment, then nodded. She didn't say anything while they were in the bus. She merely stared out the window, sighing a bit ocassionally.

She stared at her for a moment, seemingly confused as to why the other one was talking to her but she nodded anyway. "Yeah...a bunch of jerks if you ask me." she said, her voice low and quiet. Its as if someone was eavesdropping and could use anything as blackmail anytime, but no one was.

"I'm in 9th grade." she paused, seemingly debating with herself if she should give Gal her name. She looked troubled, then again that seemed to be her natural expression lately. Eventually she decided."My name's Chamuel."

She seemed to scowl at the spitball and the person who spit the spitball. Her glare was sharp, like years of hardened anger. She decided to stare out the window again, noticing cars that were bumper to bumper, and only now noticing all the honking from outside. "We're stuck in traffic." she groaned and leaned on the window with a thunk, and sighing heavily. "I just want this day over already..."

Galia shook her head and sighed when the kids started to push and shove. She watched them roughhouse and fight each other and the spitball count increased. She pulled out her phone and began tapping on it.

A spitball accidentally hit her and she scowled harder. She sat up in her seat. She seemed like she was ready to fight them herself then and there, her hands clenching into fists. She clenched them so hard her knuckles were turning white. She grit her teeth and took deep breaths, attempting to calm herself down. She quickly opened her bag and took out her phone and earphones, deciding to play music instead. She put the earphones in her ear and raised the volume to a loud setting, hoping to block out any outside noise. She breathed a sigh of relief and slumped back against the bus chair.

"Oi quit it you.." She muttered, looking to her peer. She thought for a moment and wished she had brought her own. She cringed every moment on the way there and some marching band kids thought I'd be fun to play in the bus. She absolutely despised public places.

She paid no mind to the one beside her since she was too busy relishing in the music from her headphones and trying to sleep. After a few minutes she finally felt sleep taking her, but then something large and wet hit her head. She opened her eyes and saw a bunch of big kids laughing at her. She growled and stopped her music. She noticed luggage and other heavy things on top of the bus and she had an idea.
"What'cha gonna do girly?" one of the kids threatened. They stood up and started walking towards her. She yelled something in a foreign language, latin maybe? When she did the stuff fell on top of the kids. They groaned under it's weight. Other kids started murmuring and she decided to listen to her music again.

"W-woah.." Galia said slumping to the wall of the bus. The kids groaned and moved from under the stuff.. Did she just..? Galia looked at her, she seemed so calm as the music blasted into her heard. Did she just do something.. Magical? The tone of the bus returned to chatter and banter. She blinked, maybe it was just.. Coincidence? She tapped the girls shoulder but she didn't respond. She would just have to ask after the ride..

After a while the bus finally reached it's destination. The school wasn't anything flashy and the ride took 2 hours because of the traffic. The students poured out in groups, each of them louder than the other. Cham and the girl were the last to leave and before Cham did she turned towards Gal. "Bye. I guess?" She shrugged, then she noticed the weird look she was giving her. "They call me a witch. I guess I sorta am." She looked down as she got off the bus, a part of her wanted to talk to Gal more but that probably wouldn't happen.

"W-wait!" She called. "You.. Can actually do magic? Like real magic?" She looked at the girl with a hint of surprise but mostly astonishment. She wondered a lot about the rumours of magic, sure she had heard of the abundance of witches in Oregon, but here? "Have you seen magic stuff before? Like harpies and Phoenixes?" She smiled and looked at her newfound (hopefully) ally. She looked away and examined the trees before looking back, she had a tendency to do that.
