It was cold outside today, but Seth didn't mind. As a matter of fact, he loved the cold as well as the dead falling leaves. It gave him peace. Today seemed like the perfect day to go out.
After traveling a bit too deep into the forest, he began to hear something, though the sound was faint. And he wasn't quite sure what it was that he'd heard.

Embren had been out for several hours now. If she wasn't back soon her father would beat her. But she didn't care. Her sister was gone and she'd never see her again. It had been a week since Wisp's death, but the bitter taste loomed over embren still. It was dark, the moon provided the only light which sifted through the leaves filtering to a green blue light. It was dangerous for her to be out alone. Fairies were hated by many because of their blood sucking tendencies. And deep in the forest was the last place she should have been. Embren knew this, but part of her didn't care. No one else cared for her, so why should she even live anymore? Seemingly out of no where, masked figures leaped into her vision. And embren let out a yell.

Fezz's ears perked up at the shout, and the sound had gotten Seth's attention too. There was a scream. Female by the sound of it, and she wasn't too far from where he stood.
Seth ran towards the source of the noise, his eyes scanning the area as he avoided hitting any branches. After a moment, he noticed a young girl with large wings, struggling in the grip of hooded figures. Who they were, he didn't know. But what he did know was that they were up to no good.
"Hey!" Seth shouted, panting, staring harshly at the hooded figures, "What do you think you're doing?"

Embren looked desperately at the boy who had appeared from behind the trees and yelled "help!" As she struggled, flames danced around her hands. But they barely singed her opponents.

Seth snarled, raising a brow before moving swiftly to the point where it was inhuman, not missing a beat. He tugged at the key on his chest, letting it come loose and turn sharp. The key grew many times it's original size, and the tip curved into an edged blade. His scythe. He had blade hooked around one of the hooded men's neck within seconds, not giving him a chance to struggle. "I don't like being ignored." He whispered, calmly to the other without physically touching him. The man gritted his teeth, and had realized that there was no way out of his situation. "Now, why don't you play nice, hmm?" Seth hummed with a false sense of bitter playfulness, "And leave the girl alone." He spoke with a sharp tone. The others looked intimidated, but only hesitated for a second before attacking. Seth quickly bounced back, and away from the hooded figures. "Go." He spoke, with icy eyes towards the winged girl.

"Right." She said with a nod and ran deeper into forest. Oddly enough, she wasn't scared anymore. The moment the boy had walked through the trees, she felt an overwhelming peace come over her. She kept running until she could barely hear the screams of the masked men. She waited for the yells to end.

Seth sighed, looking at the blood on his scythe. He didn't kill them, he just left a gash in one of the men's sides, letting them off with a warning. Next time, however, he WOULD kill them without hesitation. He looked around before shouting, "You can come out now!"
The girl was still around. Both Seth and Fezz could sense it.

Embren was scared. Her heart was racing and her skin burned hotter than usual. Her eyes grew wide as she heard the boy call for her. She was afraid of him, but she had a feeling she could trust him. She always had been a good judge of character. So she went to him. Her dress; tattered showing scars on her wrists and glowing tattoos swirling around her. She was careful to keep a distance from him, far enough for her to set a flame to him before he could get to her. She stared at the ground between them, waiting for him to speak.

Seth asked, simply, not moving any closer to the girl. He didn't want to scare her. "Don't be afraid. I won't touch you. Do you mind moving in a bit closer?" He asked, letting Fezz hop onto his shoulder.
