(@tea amaya) It had been a slow day. Maybe too slow but Aren certainly didn't mind. He got to hang around with Tea after all. Today was a gusty, cold day and yet it felt warmer than the weather autumn usually tended to deliver. Aren leaned backwards in his chair, taking sips from his tea as he enjoyed the atmosphere, but also constantly shuffling around due to an idea that had been brewing in his head for a while. He glanced at Tea, seeing him peacefully enjoying his own Tea. He finally decided to stop fiddling around as he mentally tossed the question back and forth and he finished his tea, making a loud plink as it hit the table. "Tea, I want you to meet someone." he hastily got up, checking the cup for cracks as he did while rising. "And I mean right now."

Tea had been pulling at his sweater, fidgeting with the collar. He'd gone from being uncomfortable with a collar lower than his chin to hating anything touching his neck so swiftly.
Sipping his tea, he looked back at Aren. Meet . . . meet who? He suddenly felt sick with worry. Meeting new people tended to be roller coaster experiences when he wasn't as prepared as he'd like to be. "Really?" He patted himself on the back mentally for not stuttering. "Wh-who?"
Goddammit.

The singing ring of metal on metal echoed through the heated room, embers dancing cheerfully into the air at the hammers song with every down stroke of its head, swiftly followed by the ending hiss of hot metal on water, the cloud of steam it sent up momentarily obscuring the light of the forge from view. Shoving her welding mask up off her face Amaya wiped her brow of sweat and pulled the now cooled shape from the water, in her hand the rough shape of a claddagh ring, the hands heart and crown still slightly malformed and needing final carving. Humming she sat by the window box and got to work smoothing edges, coaxing the metal to follow her will.

"A very good friend of mine. I think the two of you would get along." he thread around, looking for a wide and deep enough shadow. "We could go now. I can take the tea along so we can have more over there." he walked over to Tea, a gentle smile appearing on Aren's face. "I assure you it will be alright." he said as he held out his hand.

Tea gripped his cup nervously. Standing slowly, he nodded and reached out to take Aren's hand. He trusted the spider-like cultist more than perhaps he should, but . . . he couldn't help it. Aren wanted him to meet a friend. He couldn't say no.

Grabbing a cloth from the small rack between her and the forge Amaya wiped her hands and the ring clean, giving it one final polish. Bringing it up to the watery light filtering through the window she watched the metal shimmer in the ever shifting light and smiled, that was her last order for now, she had until the end of the day until she opened back up commissions and was reloaded with work. Standing up and stretching she decided to head to the kitchen and get a cup of hot chocolate, it was simply the kind of day for it.

Aren took Tea's hand, dragging him into the shadows. He was definitely going to move fast, to minimize Tea's dizziness, he couldn't have him arrive there sick from the trip. He crossed the shadows within moments, quickly arriving where he remembered that Amaya lived.
He noticed the exit he picked was at the very least not on a ceiling and he directed Tea to step outwards, soon following him as they arrived in the forge-room.

Tea's trips through shadows tended to vary in intensity. Fortunately the only intensity about this trip was the fact he was meeting someone new.
And in a forge, no less.
He stiffened, glancing about the fimiliar setting. He half expected to see weapons dangling and ready for use against him. Or hot brands in fire pits waiting for him. He squeezed Aren's hand tighter as he stopped breathing entirely, clutching his tea roughly in his other palm.

Amaya froze half way through her stretch as Aren appeared with, someone she couldn't quite make out in the shadows. Dropping her arm and flipping the lights onto a higher setting revealed the rooms interior in full, completed weaponry and armour decorating the walls and stands all the way to the rafters, most of them hidden by the three massive banners baring the cults eye in blue and green.
"Aren? I wasn't expecting you today, not that it isn't nice to see you of course." turning her attention to the stranger revealed him to be a face she'd only seen in passing, Tea if she wasn't wrong.
She'd heard some awful things about Tea.
Somewhat wary but willing to give him a chance she walked to stand in front of him and held out a hand, noting that he was actually tall enough for her not to have to crouch down. "Nice to meet you. I am Amaya, you would be Tea, correct?"

Aren felt Tea's grip on his hand tighten, slightly pulling at it hoping the gesture was somewhat soothing."Hello Amaya, sorry for dropping by uninvited, I wanted to introduce you to someone." he glanced at Tea, noticing he was still rather nervous, somewhat squeezing Tea's hand. "Though it seems you recognize him."

Tea gulped, reluctantly letting go of Aren's hand to shake the centaur's. He hadn't encountered someone relatively taller than him since Leland. But Leland had been kind from the beginning. Amaya, he intuited that to be her name, was wary. He understood completely, but the wave of suspicion washed over him when he shook her hand and he sounded much smaller than he actually was when he said, "Nice to m-meet you."

"Expected or not you're always welcome Aren," she replied, smiling warmly. The others tiny, shaky greeting had her heart melting in sympathy and caused her to finally take not of his steadily climbing discomfort, perhaps it was too hot in the forge for him? "I was about to go get a cup of hot chocolate, we can talk more in the living room where it's actually suitable for entertaining guests." Turning with a gesture for them to follow she began to make her way through the house to the aforementioned room.

Aren took Tea's hand again, checking if he was okay with that and leading him as they followed Amaya to the living room. "It'll be alright." He whispered, glancing behind. He took note of his surroundings, realizing how long ago it was since he had been here, and how small he actually was in comparison to the two giants in his presence. This train of thought occupied him until they arrived in the living room.

Tea squeezed Aren's hand and followed them out. Clutching his tea, he swallowed hard and stayed focused on his peers and not his surroundings. Glancing to Aren, he replied quietly, "I believe you." If anything, he certainly wanted to.

As opposed to the deep shadows and harsh red light in the forge, the rest of Amaya's home was decorated rather calmly, the open plan kitchen, dinning and sitting room was decorated in earthy neutral tones, the furniture within a strange variety of sizes and types while still somehow matching. It only took a few minutes for Amaya to grab a tea set from the kitchen, setting the tray of drinks and muffins on the coffee table she sat herself comfortably and smiled at her guests, "So how did you two meet?"
