Galia jumped a little when her fellow cult member asked. "Oh I uh.." She got quiet and looked away with a tone of both embarrassment and hints of anxiety. "I w-was asking around for you and Leland showed me where to find you.." She looked up to the tall Drum Major, and felt her body tremble in nervousness. "You're Winston, right?" She had never seen him before, and had only ever really heard other members talk about him in low murmur.. "I've head rumours that you play a lot of instruments."
She went quiet and waited for a response, glancing from here to there. She watched some band kids run around in panic from behind the man's back and felt herself loosen to a familiar environment. She felt the reminiscence of the lights hitting the field and the drum major's bringing the vibe of fear.
She had been searching all day in hopes to find the spectre, maybe even a small conversation and a turn down of her request would be worth the month that it took to build up the courage to ask. She crossed her fingers behind her back and waited for the drum major to reply.

"R-right!" She stood up tall and cleared her throat. When she had built up the courage to finally ask she gulped down any thoughts of negativity. "I'm here to ask that you be my m-mentor in learning the art of music, a-and musical combat!" She halfway screamed it and looked down after she said it aloud.
She cringed for a second and waited, looking down at her boots. She was nervous enough, seeming as this was THE Winston, in ghostly flesh and ectoplasm. He seemed inpatient and that didn't help.. Maybe she could've waited till after his rehearsal to ask. Then again, why ask at all?
She looked up but didn't face Winston. Some of the band kids had heard her scream and pulled their foucs from the assistant drum major. She put her covered hands together and muttered something. Blue and hazel hair fell in her face and she sighed. At least he didn't call her a 'boy' like Leland did.. She thought as she awaited her answer.

That's right! She mentally slapped herself and sighed. She hadn't even introduced herself. "I-I'm Galia Keiser. I've played Clarinet for 5 years, piano for 7, and bagpipes for 4 years. I was in my Highschool Marching Band. I-I've memorised a few scales- and I'm good at reading music.." She fell to a small murmur. "Though my practicing hours, and my overall playing isn't anything to be proud of.."
She snapped up and raiser her hands and moved them as she spoke. "But that's why I want to be your apprentice! I-I want to learn how to be better, and learn more!" She sighed again. "Sir, you are probably the most skilled player in the country, dare I saw in the world! To have such an opportunity just within the cult.." She shook her head. "You're the best of the best, and that what I always shoot for! I'm stronger than I look, trust me!" She looked away and stared at some of the band kids.
She felt her legs shaking from sheer nervousness, this was no way to act infront of someone who doubts you! She couldn't stop herself though, she had come all this way to ask and she wasn't going to mark her first impression as weak. She straitened herself out and smoothed her sleeves down. The cold wind hit her hair and floofed it up. She Reyes to smile at Winston but she felt overwhelmed and just stood there with messed up hair and her sleeves flying in the wind.

Galia had froze for a split second then backed off. "W-what? You want to f-fight me?!" She knew very little on his attack prowess, but seeming as she just got a glimpse at his cube, he was powerful. She felt her instincts kicking and her sword forming in her hand. "I understand how t-this might prove me but.." She kept backing up into the middle of the feild. The band members immediately ran to the sidelines when Winston stepped up. "I don't want to fight you.." She said.
Well, talking about it wasn't going to help. That was now out of the question. She prepared herself and examined the drum major. Tall, plume might ve a problem. What do the glasses do? She asked herself, and what was the box for? She concluded the box was like her powers, able to make items for combat. He was most likely a more offensive person but he still might have good defence. Plus, how was his agility?
Winston was yet to attack either, maybe he too was also examining her strengths and weaknesses. She scoffed the spit on the feild, and magicked up a mouth guard, because like hell she would let this guy ruin her perfect fangs. She waited a moment and twirled a rock in her hand. Thank god she had saved up her energy.

"Yes Sir!" She smirked when the notes began to fall. She heeded the warnings when she asked Leland about this Ghoul, how his mentorship was extreme. She knew it would be, seeming as he was, the best of the best. Her anxiety faded and she began to dodge the scales. She even found herself humming the next note of repetition. Her energy slowly depleted and she was forced to use her sword to block some of the notes. After about a good 5 times of the 12 scales going up, then back down, she cut her arm.
She backed off the notes and formed a field of swords, one of her favored attacks. The ghostly swords shook at the force of the shock waves but began to deflect notes and shield her for, if only, a moment.
"Hey, Drum Major!" She called from her behind her barrage. She waited till he looked her strait in the eyes and she smiled nonchalantly. "Nice lisp you got there! Have any trouble talking to your band nerds with it?!" It was pretty low to call out his speech impediment (Since her brother said she has a very subtle lisp too) but she knew he was way out of her combat league, so taunts seemed pretty self explanatory. She noticed some of the kids in the stands glare, some were to afraid to open their eyes. Was he really that bad?
Her swords started to shatter and she knew her attack phase wasn't very strong. She needed a new tactic, and fast. She held her ground and kept herself from falling with the help of her powers. She summoned her sword back and focused to transform it. She blocked off the notes again, but did it with finesse and showed no weakness.
If it's a fight he wants, it's a fight he'll get.

Galia felt the worry in Winstons vibe, if only for a second. He missed a note and yelled at her. Emotions were getting the better of him. She smirked and stared at the spectre. "That's what I came for, a real fight!"
She stared at the two extremely sharp drumsticks. He still looked cocky, his plume violently swirling around his body. Maybe her comment didn't affect him as much as she had wished.
She approached Winston and summoned another sword, two blades versus two. They were now closer enough to spit at each other, though that was extremely low, even for her.
She held up her swords and smiled sweetly with her innocent look. She knew he had a lot of energy, unlike her, whom was already tired of hitting note after note. "You missed a note, sir." She accented the last word and raised her swords to his drum sticks. "Are you going to slip this attack up too?" She giggled.
She didn't know why she seemed so cocky, after all she would lose. She already knew that. Maybe Winston's ego was quickly rubbing off. She was ready to lock swords and finish this, even if it meant getting badly hurt.
"Let's go, piano teeth." She spat.

"F-funny.. Calling me such a petty name.. My sleeves aren't my down fall." When the ghost kicked her down she could feel blood coming up her throat. She spat the liquid out staining the glass red and black. "Your physical features.. They ruin your golden ego.." She smiled and stood back up. "Piano Teeth, Lisp, it ruins your fighting! I bet the tan lines are bad too." She mocked.
She jumped back up, crossing sword against two. "Let's turn the tables a bit, shall we?" She backed off and held her hand up. Blue fire engulfed her sleeve and arm and she allowed her smile to grow larger. Her fire covered her whole body and Temporarily blinded some of the band kids.
"Consider this one of my special attacks!" She said behind the the blue veil. She stood in the fire for a moment longer and she could hear some band kids murmur. When she began to laugh the kids shut up immediately.
"Let's go, Drum Major!" She yelled focusing the fire into a wave behind her. When her body emerged she had her own marching outfit on. She posed for a second and sent the wave of fire to Winston. "Let's see if this evens your tanline!"

When the drum major turned his back she chuckled quietly. "Say Winston, w-what's the time?" She said is a low whisper. The band kids immediately filed back into the field and glanced to the body.. She looked almost dead.
Winston still wasn't facing her, he was yelling at all the kids. "I-I said.. What's the time Winston?!" This time she was loud enough for a few flutes on the edge of the group to hear, though dare they say anything.
She tried pulling herself up but Winston's shockwave was extreme. She felt like she was going deaf though that would certainly be ironic.
With was little energy she had left, she formed a glowing blue spear. She was unable do to return it to a physical state so she would have to make do with a light object. How pitiful.
She raised her hand, the sleeves had been ripped in Winston's tantrum. "Say, drum major.. I'm j-just going to assume it hasn't been 30 minutes yet.." The flutes knew what was about to go down and tried to warn, but it was to late.
She threw the lightning blue lance and with surprising speed, it flew towards Winston. Her smile seemed irreplaceable when her aim was exact. A simple cut to his upper arm. Not deed enough for stitches, but deep enough for a good amount of blood to seep before drying over.
With adrenaline now filling her she got up with much more ease. She limped to the band kids until she was infront of Winston. "I'm sorry, it was rude to call out your lisp, piano teeth, and tan lines. It was a good fight." She said.

Galia made a small noise that Winston couldn't comprehend and beamed widely. "Absolutely anything!" She was giddy, excited, you name it. Her spur ended quickly when the rushing pain made her fall back again. "Y-you know, you're r-really strong.." She coughed another clot of blood and sighed.
"Thanks for giving me a chance.." She said quietly. "People like to think I'm weak, useless.." She looked up to Winston and smiled, a little blood escaping her bottom lip, which had been cut.
She had regained some energy and she sighed, pulling a golden coin from her belt bag she formed a Cain. She wobbled up and stared at Winston for a moment before pulling him into a hug. "Thank you.." She said.
The band kids didn't know what to say, the small girl whom was able to make Winston bleed was now hugging him? It was strange all by itself, not to mention to weird it was to see someone a foot shorter than him hug him.
She dropped her Cain in the process and fell back down. "Ow.." She murmured, trying not to complain.

Winston and Galia walked through the forest. The whispering wind of the cold night moved the branches which in turn, shed their leaves onto the path that the pair slowly walked down. Galia kept fidgeting with every step the drum major took and her body shivered. She hated when her outfit go ruined, even more so when she wasn't strong enough to fix it. Winston kept silent and made sure Galia didn't fall.
"W-Where are we goi-" She was thrown into a coughing fit and started flailing. She made sure not to cough on Winston but she smacked a branch in the process. Winston kept a tight hold on her and when she stopped dying she sniffed and looked at the ghost. "I'm so sorry.." She said burring her face into her torn sleeves. Winston sighed but kept a silent breath. After her flailing outburst he was stiff in holding her.
Her breathing decreased in pace and became sluggish, but never stopped. He felt a jolt of worry when he thought he couldn't feel her chest expanding, but she quickly fell back into the same pattern.
He soon realized that the warp was quite far from the field, which was strange because when he was by himself it seemed to take only a mere minute to get there, but with the girl, who was now unconscious in his arms, the tempo of time seemed to slow to the same breathing pattern she had. He took his time and walked with care so she wouldn't get injured again, seeming as she was his new apprentice. He didn't like it, but a deal was a deal.
When they reached the warp, Winston stepped up and with Galia shivering in his arms. They left the forest and returned to Leland's house where he let her stay in his Hall out of sympathy. (Though he would never admit this, He claimed that he wasn't just going to let his apprentice die, that was for later when their training began)
