Echo sat in the corner of the dark, abandoned room, rocking back and forth. The seven year old was drenched from head to toe in her own blood, having scratched at any surface of skin she could reach. Her hand her against her head, clawing into her hair. Her eyes were wide and filled with terror, looking out a nothing as she saw things that weren't there. Her mind was plagued with memories of what had happened hours before, when she tried to save the children in the burning orphanage she had just happened to pass by. The images mixed with those of her past, and left her a muttering, weeping, bloody pile of an empty body on the cold, hard floor

Enfer had caught the scent of blood and it belonged to one of his friends. Echo to be more precise. He quickly ran in the direction of the scent, entered what appeared to be an empty room as he slowly approached a figure curled up in the corner. "Echo...are you okay? You're covered in blood...we need to get you to a healer right away," Enfer said, reaching out a hand to help her up

Echo gave a horrid choking sound and flinched back, away from Enfer's hand. She looked down at her folded knees and pressed her forhead to them, not caring about the blood flow. She didn't listen to Enfer, in fact, she barely heard him

Enfer's hand jerked back at this and he gave her a sad look. She looked like she was going through the same thing he did just a couple days ago. "Echo...whatever is happening, it's going to be okay...nothing's going to hurt you," Enfer said in a soft tone, hoping to calm her as he slowly put a hand on her head, running his fingers through her hair to hopefully calm her as he crawled closer, going to put a hand on her back. He gently patted her back as he cooed to her, wanting the girl to understand that everything would be okay

Echo let a small whine escape. "The kids....I let...let them die..." She sobbed. Her mumbles began to mix into an incoherent mess. She opened her eyes and stared at the burns that lay underneath her scratched and bloody skin. Her nail beds were wrecked completely from clawing at her skin

"Hush now...it's okay, don't cry Echo," Enfer said as he pulled Echo to him and began to rub up and down her back. He knew what she was going through and didn't want her to go through the same thing he did

"It...hurts..." she mumbled. "Too dark." She put her hands against her head agian and wrapped strands of hair around her fingers and pulled. Echo made small movements, rocking back and forth as she finally went silent

"I know it must hurt, but it's okay...I'm here," Enfer said as he noticed her hands and gently pushed them down. "Don't do that Echo...it won't help," Enfer said as he tried his best to comfort her

Echo whined again. She soon gave a shudder though, the feeling of blood and tears becoming sticky and uncomfortable. She scrubbed at her face, unknowingly scratching it in the process

Enfer pushed her hands down again, gently rubbing off the blood with his own hand. He shuddered at the scent, the thought of devouring her came to his mind, but he instantly pushed it back as he wiped off the last of the blood. He smiled at her and said,"there...no need to scratch." Enfer wiped the blood on his hands on his pants and went back to comforting the girl. "Can you tell me what you're seeing to cause you to be like this?" Enfer asked

"Kids....fire....orphanage..." Echo muttered. She stared at her arms, the blood had tinged them pink. She felt a little better though, a little cleaner. Her head still pounded and flashed

"What else?" Enter asked. He licked his thumb and rubbed some dried blood off, trying his hardest not to think about his hunger as he kept a calm facade

Echo quieted down and looked up. "They're....happy....?" She asked hopefully, her mind began to quiet down slowly. Her skin soon began to irritate her agian and she squirmed a bit
