Birthday: February 29, 1997
Age/How Old You Appear: actually 19 but is often mistaken for 14 (ages 4 years slower than a human)
Age You Joined The Cult: 18 1/2
Gender: (dmab) genderfluid (he/she/they pronouns interchangeably)
Birthname: Yarran, meaning "Acacia Tree"
Height: 4'11
Skin color: pale-ish brown
Race: half aboriginal/half french
Weight: 96lbs
Body Type: toothpick
Eyes: ice blue
Hair: blond
Scars: small (now closed up) hole looking scars and minor to moderate cuts on their wrists because of a backfired manipulation on some thorny vines from in their training days (part of why their wrists are always covered)
*Special Physical Attributes: none
Clothing: they switch between a skirt, tight crop shirt, gloves and knee-high boots to small button shorts, a dress shirt, a sweater vest with a tie and calf boots
Physical Description Paragraph:
Simone was a bit of a scrawny thing, despite their family's attempts at fattening them up. Short blond hair framed a face that was what some could describe as “cute”, with big, blue eyes that despite seemingly cute, were piercing, along with brown lips. Their skin was smooth and brown, the majority (or perhaps not) covered by whatever it was they felt like wearing that day, despite their fairly limited wardrobe.
Culture and religion
language: primary language is English since they grew up in a more modern Australia but also speaks in their native tongue because their parents insisted they know how to speak it and for sort of respectful referencing? like "Biyanga (father), where's the peanut butter?" or "Wiyanga (mother), have you seen my boots?" because they lived in france from ages 11 to 16, they also speak French
Religious Beliefs: feels very strongly about the destruction and abuse of nature because they believe in reincarnation, so like, they wouldn't want people to chop down trees or abuse/kill animals because they believe that the lives of animals and plants were once people and that their life is interchangeable with human life (basically, in the past people were plants and animals and thanks to reincarnation, they still are and deserve to be preserved)
Personality
Family: grew up with a mom and dad but their aunt lived with them too and their aunt was the one who really inspired them to pursue becoming a witch like herself
Quirks: they talk to plants and Streamers (even though the don't have the ability to talk to plants or animals in a way that either party can understand)
Goals: they just wanna get good at magic and make their fam proud
Interests: magic, nature and psychology
Habits: they bite their nails & get creative with the cussing when theyre especially frustrated
Vices: they smoke weed every once in awhile & theyre kind of a sinner tbh
What Does Your Room Look Like: plants everywhere, probably clothing on the floor, the cauldron probably has something going on inside and overall its basically just kinda messy, they only really put effort into cleaning things that matter a lot to them
Personality: a tsUNDERE (save them), they seem elegant but theyre actually really clumsy (its great), hardworking and curious but a bit up and down
Likes: sweets, animals and feeling accomplished, the movie Epic (the plant queen is gorgeous and theyre still crying)
Dislikes: blatant a-holes and things that are overly complicated (they'll still attempt but they won't like it)
Preferred Food Source: the things that they grow themselves (vegetarian)
Group Dynamics: isnt the most talkative but can be helpful and will speak up when they have things to say
Cult standing
Friends: Kuiper (post-destruction)
Allies: their familiar: a ragdoll cat named Streamers (“You can't have a party without Streamers!”), Mariana, a plant dragon
Enemies: N/A
Rivals: N/A
What Do You Consider Your Position In The Cult: gardener
What Do You Do For The Group: potions and stuff with cauldron stuff, gardening, healing
How you joined The Cult: N/A (at this time)
Rank: snackrifice
Magic
Original Power:
- basic shape-shifting (physical appearance, transforming into flowers),
- accelerated plant growth (via plant based magic)
- plant manipulation
- healing
Power Gained After Joining The Cult: plants. but on fire
how does it work?:
- Born with it (witch magic in the blood)
- Book Learning (studying all the herbal shit)
- Science magic (herbology, potions, cauldron work and recipes, etc)
magic classifications:
- Alteration (potions that turn people into other things, etc),
- Conjuration/Summoning (smol plant demon that sim is tight with, takes lots of time a warning to said demon
and they dont disappear for 2 days so its rarely performed and only in upcoming dire situations or moments of intense struggle) - Evocation/Invocation (the plant manipulation)
- Restoration (though less magic and more herbal medicine [enhanced by magic])
casting:
- healing magic takes time to heal but it speeds up the healing process (for instance, there's a 57% chance a patient could die before they're brought from the brink of death in a serious situation but if successful they would recover much quicker than if they were healing at a normal pace. ex: an estimated 6 week fracture recovery in 2 weeks)
- their ability to manipulate plants can be countered by anything that kills plants (i.e it would be impossible to go up against a plague beast unless properly prepared [like with some kind of spell or potion] or aided by another cultist)
- the bigger the job the more concentration (to grow a plant, not too much as its a blood ability; meanwhile healing would require above 95% to full concentration to perform)
- can't control desert plants and cannot grow plants in places they wouldn't normally be able to grow (i.e couldn't bloom a pine tree in the desert; would also require a seed)
Consequences:
- can't/shouldn't use manipulation magic inside of buildings (like shopping malls, plant stores, houses, etc)
- still a lower level witch and while they're not necessarily "in training" they still cannot perform above their level unless it's a rare fluke (like natural talent)
- they can drain themselves as it's mentally and sometimes physically tiring
- can be used to counter technology but it's a dependent (i.e could strap down a tank but could be released if the vines are cut; flamethrower can be countered but only if the plants are on fire themselves thanks to cult powers & limited chance depending on the amount of energy simone has; also burns energy 5% faster [open for amendment] than normal)
- simone also has a staff which decreases strain on themselves like a magic burden bearer (acts a channel for magic that increases accuracy, lightens the burden of concentration on staff-abled abilities like plant blooming)
- fire plants countered by water and normal plants countered by fire
Weaknesses:
- fresh out of training (lack of experience)
- doesn't really go near salt because it burns their skin (it can be ingested but they wont do something like swim in the ocean, only fresh water places)
- iron weakens their magic and if you put salt and pepper in your shoes their magic doesn't work on you; can't come within a certain distance of you either
- (behavioral) they can get too easily attached to people who earn their respect
- easily embarrassed
- too stubborn (and not for their own good)
Additional abilities/strengths:
- ability to work with potions and spells
- can manipulate people/others (through use of potions and spells)
- can also play the innocent little kid card with people who don't know their actual age/cant see through the youthful appearance
- good perception
