"Thirteen? That truly is a young age." Gabriel hummed shortly before taking a sip of his own cup. "Oh yes, the humour is similar of that found in the works of Douglas Adams." He followed her eyes to his collection of more rare and older pieces. This time Dextra seemed more comfortable, because she asked him what was on her mind. "I have different variations of fairy tales, poetry books and books about the arts and crafts of Jewelry. I am very proud of the different amounts of fairy tales I collected over the years. Different version of Grimms tales for example, I have a copy of the first published Fairy tale collection of those, from the year 1812." He smiled at her. "Of course as you are another book enthusiast, I trust that you know how to handle such a book if you are interested in reading them.

Dexy's eyes widened at his collection. "Oh my goodness!" She marveled at the knowledge he shared, clasping her hands together as if to keep herself from getting up and just touching the spines. "I wouldn't want to without gloves, my word. I'm surprised you don't lock those up." Then she flushed. "Oh. Well. You did. Lock them up." She scratched her head, biting her lip nervously. "Sorry again. About that." She smacked the bag, a grunt emanating from Sinny at the rough contact. "Aren't we sorry?" she pointedly asked the boggart.
"Yeah. Sorry," her companion griped before resuming lapping at his plate.
Dexy then declared, "But really. Shouldn't you have those under tighter security? I can only imagine the value." Let alone the value of the jewels he possessed. Those paled in comparison to the books he owned.

Gabriel seemed chuckled. "Oh they may not seem like it but they do have protection, at least since a while thanks to a very good friend of mine." When Lola had found out that he had not had a security up for the old books she had put a charm on them, that would make her able to detect the books at any time. So if anyone tried to take them, Gabriel would know where they went. But the vampire didn't need to explain that to the human, and more importantly to the Boggart. After all he seemed like a creature to just take away his books. "With the touching, it is fairly enough to wash your hands and dry them before touching these books. Especially the Jewelry books have been touched so many times that it really would not make a big difference. But I appreciate the gloves and the apology." He hummed. "I do have fabric gloves here for the fairy tales." he went over to his working desk to take out white gloves. "Here they are." he put them down at the table, carefully. "If you like you can take an issue you like to read a bit in it. "

She smiled, eyeing the gloves and offering beforehand, "I feel bad taking a look at your things before giving you anything." That being said, she opened her bag and reached in. She had a momentary argument with Sinny, who griped about her touching him inappropriately when she was trying to slip her hand under him and extract a book. She always carried with her at least two books and three notebooks. She didn't even bother counting how many pens and pencils let alone the fountain pen with the glowing tip that shone beneath Sinny. With one last grumble, she pulled free the novel she was looking for. "In the Forests of the Night," she read aloud. "By the author I mentioned previously." She handed the smallish book to Gabriel, then moved her hand to the gloves. Looking back at his collection, she declared, "I honestly have no idea where to even begin." There were so many.

"Ah, this is a custom I haven't seen in a long while, thank you very much I appreciate it." Gabriel took te book to look at it for a moment, reading the backside even, before he noticed that she had said something again. "Oh pardon me I was in thoughts. Well I am sure you have a favourite fairy tale, I started collecting and reading these because of the stories I heard as a child, you see? So maybe you should start with that. Of course in time you can read through all of these." The vampire turned to the bag. "Now do you want another plate of whippe cream, while your friend here reads, Mr Boggart?"

She let out a gust of air. "I am rather ashamed, I have not read Grimms' Fairy Tales in their purest form. I simply know that Disney greatly exaggerated their cheerfulness." They were allegedly truly gruesome. "I would love to see an example of their real grittiness."
Sinny poked his head out of his back at the question, uttering a very soft, "I think I'm full."
Dexy's eyes narrowed on his little head and he turned a glare up at her, daring her to say it was because he had stolen too many sweets. She said nothing, however. He knew very well what she wanted to say in response.
