"I've still no clue what you're talking about, but I'll trust you." Vesuvio chuckled as he lowered his thick lashes, gazing towards the other creature's sinking feet into the shadow of the tree. It was odd, yes, intriguing, and most of all it was new. He was willing to try something new, for once. With hesitant steps and a tail tucked close, Vesuvio reached for Aren's hand and threaded their fingers together delicately, soon stepping close, squirming as his boots seemed to sink into the snow. Or, the shadow in the snow. Aren had better be alright with being held onto.

"Take a deep breath and let me handle this, okay?" Five minutes was more than enough, at worst traveling from here to Tilä took him a minute. He reached out to wrap one arm around the other's waist, checking if he took a breath and sinking down into the shadows in one motion, quickly switching to holding on to the other's hand. He dragged the other through the shadows, often checking behind him if the other was doing alright.
He hummed as he spotted the exit to his room, jumping to reach it and stepping out of the shadows into his room, pulling Vesuvio in. "Make yourself at home it's... A minimalist style I have here." In other words it meant his room was simply scarcely decorated, walking over to the sole closet in the room and digging through it to retrieve yet another bag of sweets.

Vesuvio was shocked, needless to say, and he made sure to tuck close to the other being as they made way through a shadowy space, filling him with chills and making his fur stand on end. By the time they were released into a room of sorts, the haltija was stumbling forward softly and bracing his staff close, lowering his knees towards the ground and tucking up the expanse of his tail as a means to protect himself. He didn't quite understand the statement, but, Aren's voice soothed him enough to allow him to get comfortable.

Aren paced towards Vesuvio with the new bag of sweets, plopping down before the other. "Don't worry if you're nauseous or dizzy, it tends to happen to non shade walkers." He put down the bag in between them, untying the thread around it and picking out what seemed to be rock candy. "It'll go away, have some of these." he could vaguely feel Jung was just as curious as he was about the newcomer, mentally noting down details.

Vesuvio tucked up his knees carefully beneath the fur cape as his curious black stained fingers reached for one of the odd crystals, lifting it and examining it closely, his stars seeming to light up as he grew more interested, less scared. "Is this a rock?"

Aren grinned at the other's reaction, taking a candy rock himself and biting it for emphasis, the candy shattered by his sharp canines. "It's just shaped to look like a colorful rock." He hummed as he made quick work of the rock, gently smiling at the other. "And it's hideously sweet."

Pointed and soft ears twitched upward, downward, angling out towards the side as he listened intently to the sound of the rock breaking. Hm. A sweet rock was something he had never truly heard of. Carefully, lifting his piece to his mouth, Vesuvio clamped his teeth down onto the thing with knit brows and a scrunched up nose. He began gnawing, flicking his tail, soon snorting with laughter as it shattered in his maw. Well, he hadn't expected it to be this messy.

Aren laughed along with the other, brushing the candy residue of his own lips and studying the small solid specks of sugar on his fingers. "Rather funny isn't it?" he searched through the small bag again, finding more chocolate albeit covered in sugar. That tends to happen when he didn't keep the sweets separated as they should.

Two black fingers ran the coarse crystallized sugars between each other with intrigue of the texture, despite the residue becoming gummy and sticky between his warmed skin. He quirked a brow at this, craning his head down, a keen eye spying along the opened satchel while Aren fetched another one of those things he seemed to cherish. Lightened now, grinning, with his tail swaying out with a twinkling flash; small lights began coruscating the room brightly- nearly dancing like fireflies while Vesuvio's deep violet eyes scanned the treat. "Choo-clate?" He inquired with his thickened Finnish accent, beaming with sharp, sugared teeth, evident that his memory on pronunciation wasn't flawless, considering he had hardly heard of the thing. "It's.. That thing, am I right?"

Aren gently smiled as he held out the chocolate to the other, watching the other's tail carefully with a certain fascination. "Chocolate yes, I found more." He took a piece off for himself, somewhat brushing off the coarser and more sizable chunks of sugar that clung to it. He was certain he might have had fudge somewhere too, albeit in a cooler spot to prevent it from melting after all.
"How do you do that though... the lights?" He found himself getting fascinated yet again, not minding it so much.

Vesuvio took a gentle hold of the thing and soon angled his brow down at the question, one he hardly even acquainted the answer to. "I've never known myself, as they merely showed up when I.. Uh.. Occurred?" The creature shrugged as he arched forward with a light hum. "They gather, I suppose.. But only at night." He lifted the chocolate to his lips with a hum, closing his eyes for just a moment while said lights swirled in a blue concoction at the end of his staff, swimming in a pool of blue fire inside of each jar. "I'd like to think that it's starlight."

Aren softly gasped at the notion of it being starlight, closely watching the flames. "That's pretty." he shifted slightly, taking yet another piece of chocolate and not forgetting to share some of it with the other. "You occurred? Did you... do you know or do you have no memory of what happened?" Truth was of course that no one actually remembered how the joined the cult in the first place, Aren just did one hundred years ago. But he might as well ask, in case it was a fair time before.

"Not to my memory, no.. I simply woke up one day, and animals began wandering to me. Starlight caught to me, and, well, I use it to try and heal the things I find." Vesuvio's voice wavered softly as he brought one of his hands down to the entanglement of moss and flower roots at the end of his staff, brushing into it and viewing as the soft plants began to weave, growing around his skin and looping a bit messily around each finger. As the creatures focused, honing in on his abilities, rather small dustings of light glittered over his fingertips until he had created a small sprig of baby's breath that clung to said light like dew. After placing the chocolate in his mouth with his free hand, Vesuvio reached forward and delicately removed the flower, setting it in Aren's pale palm with a grin.

Aren grinned back, a slight black blush forming across his face. He mused on the symbolism of Baby's breath, a small laugh escaping him as he pushed the bag of sweets closer to Vesuvio. "I reckon it's sometimes good to not remember everything." In a way that sounded more as if he was giving advice in Aren's mind, for people to not end up like him. "But the starlight is wonderful."

Vesuvio's soft black fingertips curled in as he brushed the other man's hand, now holding his palm close and viewing as two new flowers quickened into bloom from the roots. A lily of the valley, and a stunning bushel of purple lilacs. The new blooms filled the area with a sweet scent as he held them close, a fair blue flush dusting his cheeks as they refused to stop growing, an unsure display of his inner emotions. The lights from around him began dancing and hovering like soft fireflies in the mid dusk, yet, the excitement of a new friend wouldn't dare to lessen them. After finishing his chocolate and coughing from the feeling of a riding flush, he took hold of the flowers and reached to place them into Aren's hand, knitting his eyebrows and showing a smile. "You truly think so?"
