"Um. . ." Morphodoe looked around, as if the answer would be found in the corridor. Her eyes rested on the window and she was reminded of the bitter cold outside. "Perhaps you should answer him. He may be in need." Morphodoe said, "But I believe we should conceal your wings just until he trusts you." She quickly went into one of the rooms and reappeared with two blankets, draping one of them over the princess' shoulders. "Would you like me to still accompany you?" She asked.

Echo thought for a second then shook her head. "I want to go alone. But please stay near." She thanked her for the blankets and held the second one, preparing it for the man. She took a deep breath and entered the main room, where the man was standing in front of the door. "Hello, may I ask why you are here?" She spoke out.

Tarquin spun around at the new voice, knowing he asked for company but not really expecting any. His eyes widened at the girl before him, her ball gown like dress and mystical changing eyes. He stared for a second too long, he realized, and opened his mouth. "Um, hello, I was traveling in the woods and the storm caught me. I was just looking for a place to wait it out." He explained

Echo examined him quietly, taking in the stranger. A second went by before she nodded, and reached out, the second blanket in her hands, offering it to the man. "I am Echo, Princess of this castle. May I ask your name?" She asked, glancing back to where Morphodoe was. She wanted to get the stranger to the closest den and start a fire

Morphodoe had been peering around the corner with expectance that the stranger would attack, but she was relieved when it didn't happen. She caught the gaze of the princess and looked around the hall. There! She swiftly went to one of the doors on the other side of the hall and quietly entered it. She didn't waste time and placed a log in the fireplace, then struck a match and set it aflamed. She looked around the room-- thank goodness, it was presentable. Exiting the room, she left the door slightly ajared and went to the corner. She stuck her head out and nodded.

Tarquin nodded and gratefully took the blanket. "I am Tarquin, a blacksmith from the village. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Your Highness." He bowed respectfully before wrapping the blanket around his shoulders.

Echo retracted her hand quickly. "The...village? Oh, of course." She nodded before catching Morphodoe's nod behind the man. "Why don't we head to one of the sitting rooms? Get you warm?" She she spoke, leading Tarquin off to the room. She kept her hand on the blanket wrapped around her shoulders, shielding her wings from sight.

Tarquin raised an eyebrow at the Princess before following her. "So, do you live here alone? Any servants or family? Pets?" He asked. Soon they came to a sitting room, a fire already lit and a chair ready. "Once again, do you live here alone? Or was the fire already lot?" His accent hinted with confusion.

Echo looked down as she walked into the room. "I have no family. As for pets, I have a few animals running around." A mysterious hint of a smile graced her face and her eyes held a bright shine in them as she said no more. She continued walking until she came to one of the seats near the fire, and, sitting down she pushed her hair behind her ears and gestured for Tarquin to do the same. She was still nervous though, she needs Morph. How does she explain the servant question? Should she explain the servant question?
