It certainly hasn't been long since he's joined the cult; a few months, tops, though he wasn't bothering to keep track. What it wasn't for sure, was long enough to have met everyone by wandering the estate alone. Since becoming a member, Eiyole hasn't done much in the way of making friends or exploring, mostly keeping to himself and his projects in the room he apparently obtained at one point or another.
Today, however, was decidedly a wonderful day. Overcast and thick with fog, it felt like home. He couldn't remain inside without a guilty conscience (as if), and with that, he's done up the buttons on his jacket, heading out the door with his tail trailing almost excitedly behind.
Once outside, he'd made a direct line to the forest. Plenty of trees, plenty of cover, plenty of ways to make sure he'd notice someone before they noticed him. Regardless of what was promised or intended, he still hasn't found it in him to give his entire trust to this group, and by extension, hasn't let his guard too far down.
Sniffing idly at the air every few seconds as he walked, Eiyole kept a leisurely pace, and his hands folded neatly behind his back, taking in the sights of the area stirring gently in the barely-there, occasional breeze.

It was admittedly less confining outdoors, Call thought to herself. She hadn't spent as much time indoors as she had outside in woods or caves or even mountain ranges (which were a bit too chilly for her she had come to realize). Of course by joining the cult she had grown more comfortable indoors but there was still a lingering unease even now. She wanted to curse the incident in the back of her mind that remained there always, the only time she'd ever felt well and truly...well, scared.
A literal nightmare. Scared.
She huffed to herself and glanced up at the trees above her. There was no use dwelling on it all now. Call then glanced behind her and her flame flared up in both confusion and suspicion, spying someone else walking through the trees. Her fangs poked out behind her mouth as her form tensed. She didn't recognize this figure. Were they in the cult? Granted, she didn't know too many in the cult well, but she didn't remember seeing him around.

Getting a fair ways through his stroll plans for the afternoon, Eiyole let a hiccup enter his next step forward when he heard something resembling a flame flare up. Just faint, and around the edges of his hearing, but something. He gave a quick, unguarded glance around before he passed it off as the sound of his own flame lining his spine (still nowhere near used to having fire that close to him at all times), and continued a few steps further with a flick of his tail.
He hadn't gotten far at all before finally, a figure and a soft green flame caught the corner of one of his eyes. He unfolded his hands from behind his back and took a more sturdy stance, shifting his focus to the figure through the fog. There's no way the figure hadn't noticed him there already; no point in trying to keep sealth. At the very least, he could only assume that with the flame, this was another cult member. To hopefully give them the same idea, he split the flame on his spine and let it drift to evenly rest on the joints of his wings, now in plain sight.
"Hello?" He called, just a little louder than a normal speaking voice. "Who are you?"

Wings were the first thing Call took in on the other figure's appearance. Her flame flared violently as the voice reached her - yes, definitely a masculine voice - and she hoped the fire she saw meant they were part of the cult.
"You may call me Call." Her voice carried to the stranger despite the low undertone. She was not about to trust whomever was there without good reason. "And whom might you be?"

Turning his whole attention and body toward Call, he narrows his eyes and blinks each one individually as he gathers further focus. Hesitantly, he starts to take a few slow steps toward the cloaked figure.
"Eiyole," he barks his low response. "And you're... also a member of the candle cult, I assume?" He vaguely gestures to her flame, hoping he's close enough for her to see that.

Eiyole. She didn't recognize the name, so it must be someone she had yet to meet.
Call's mouth twisted as she took in the appearance of the other. "Yes, I am with the cult." Her hood hid her body in shadow but if one looked ever-so-closely, they might notice how it shifted warily. "Going out for a walk, then?"

Not paying enough attention to what was under the hood, evidently, every eye seemed to miss the slight shifts. Just as well, he's too busy watching for outer movements more than anything. Looking back up to where he'd assume her face would be, he contorted his mouth to a toothy grin.
"Yes, a perfect day for it," he chirps. "The fog keeps things relatively quiet, there's just enough room between the trees to stretch; ideal, really." It wasn't hard to tell he'd started to let his guard down; she was part of the cult, right? No reason to be so cautious.

"Ideally, indeed." If she had eyebrows she would have raised them out of some faint amusement; instead Call snorted softly and glanced at the trees as well. It was rather quiet, truthfully. Most members preferred to stay indoors or to be with company but it actually appeared to be rather peaceful at the moment.
"It has been a bit foggy lately," Call murmured, more to herself than to the other. "Not that that's a bad thing."

The silence had always been something Eiyole craved. Where he worked best, where he functioned best honestly. Being out in the covered silence of the trees and fog relaxed him more than he'd been in months.
"It's wonderful. I love the fog," he stated. "Makes the air crisp, leaves a little residue. Chases off most of the noisy critters."

Call felt a smirk tug at her fanged mouth. "Yes, they are rather noisy. It's strange hearing them all go silent now, though." She glanced at the fog around her. Since she was hovering a couple of inches off the ground it was amusing to see the thick blanket swirl under her.
"You came out here for the silence then, I presume?" She found herself asking Eiyole, tilting her head slightly back towards him. "I can't blame you."

"It's just the fog, they're all holed up or quietly scurrying. Best part about days like this."
Watching intently, Eiyole nods at the question, taking a step toward a particularly thick tree to lean against. "The mansion can and has gotten fairly noisy. Even in my room it tends to leak through Gets troublesome sometimes."

"I haven't been out much on foggy days like this," she found herself admitting. Call shrugged the best she could and glanced back at the other.
"If has been getting rather noisy in the mansion, I agree. Some of the members get a little...too excited about some odd things. I never quite understood that." She didn't mention that it was difficult to stay in her room alone. It wasn't the most homely of places and with people chatting noisily outside the door it made rest look far off in the future.

"Neither have I, honestly. It's a wonderful change of pace." His voice started to stray almost dreamily.
"Different bizarre interests, different vices, that all affect them in different ways. It's all understandable. Unfortunately not any less annoying." Lifting an arm to scratch at the back of his head, he run his flame back down the frames of his wings and onto his spine again, careful to avoid letting it catch the damp bark of the tree he's leaning against.

The tone of the other's voice made her mouth twitch ever-so-slightly. It was nice to know she wasn't the only one enjoying the peace.
"Yes, it is irritating. Particularly since I got a little neighbor in the room across from mine who likes to come visit." Call bristled as she recalled the member in question who was a little too eager to talk to her. It was a wonder she had not snapped at them yet - despite how they weren't intentionally being annoying. "I don't suppose you have anyone like that near yours?"

Eiyole thought for a few moments before shaking his head. "Come to think of it, I haven't really seen anyone go in or out of the rooms around mine. I can assure you there are people staying there, but. I haven't the slightest clue what they're like." He finishes speaking with a bit of a pout.
