Scorpius was already inside the Temple, leaning against a wall and looking down at his feet with a sullen expression. Being in such a place made him uncomfortable, but he wanted to see the room and how it differed from the one spiritual place in his kingdom, the Courtyard of the Grand Library. He noted the architecture and the materials used, shaking his head as he gave up comparing and decided to look up, noticing the humanoid form of Jeu floating into the Temple. Scorpius was in no rush to move toward her, he was sure she was there for a reason of her own, and he was not keen on prying information out of an unwilling participant.
He noticed his dry lips before looking around the room, feeling the strong spiritual energy in the area. It gave a different feel from the Courtyard of the Grand Library, it was imposing, and the pressure was almost crushing when he looked straight at certain spots, so he quickly returned his gaze to the floor, ignoring Jeu for the most part.
"Wish I had a soul left to properly appreciate all this."

The temple had always been one of the most quietest place within the vicinity of the mansion. A peaceful place to settle by and to contemplate, without any willing disturbance of someone who would respect such peace. One of the reasons why one may frequently see the quiet lantern-like creature, who was currently at the far left side of the room standing by one of the statues.
Having done this multiple times, Niax was absent-mindingly wiping off the layer of dust off the statue. Sensing a new presence by the room, they only glanced back to the new visitor, before turning back as they continue their routine.

Scorpius let a small flicker of flame trickle from his pincer, lighting himself up slightly in the otherwise dim room. He looked straight at Jeu with an utterly unreadable expression. "Hm? Oh. No, I'm not the religious sort, although I sometimes come in here for a little quiet. My house is very... lonely nowadays." He leaned against the wall again, hunching slightly and frowning before smirking, "Been thinking of going back to my kingdom for a vacation soon. We'll see. Anyway, why are you here, Jeu? You never seemed the... spiritual kind to me."

One swipe over the last thin layer of dust on the straight-backed statue and it was now clean. A rather small wave of ease rose to the tall cultist as they enclosed the dirty piece of cloth in one of their hands. They turned slightly to face Jeu, lights within their head flickered somewhat as they registered to them the familiar horned cultist.
A low hum came from Niax taking in the other's presence, a small hint of acknowledgement to their identity. They had assumed from the Game Master's entrance that this was her first time here, and was proven more evident to them first the other's brief conversation.
"Barely" they soon replied, disembodied voice echoing slightly as if emphasizing their answer.

"I was originally here to take notes of architecture and design for my kingdom. Also I like the quiet and the calm." Scorpius reached into his pocket, pulling out a black coin and rolling it between his fingers. He wasn't surprised that Niax was here, it was well known that Niax cleaned a lot of places in the cult.
"Does anyone know the names of the different gods? I can't say I know them very well."

"Maintenance…" Niax replied briefly, taking steps to the sides of the floating cultist. A barely audible murmur slipped past, at most it could be heard as something agreeing to the quiet and calm.
As the rest talked, they walked past Jeu towards one of the light colored pedestal surrounding the center statue, one that is more note worthy than the rest of the statues in the additional enclaves within the temple room.
Placing a hand down on the bowl on top of the pedestal, they perked up from the scorpion king's question. "Illusaperde and the 7 Virtues" they started. They have been deciphering the occasional writings formed around the manor, and it seems as the ones carved in the temple, ones that would faintly glow even, were just the same. Without much of the hassle of their duties they decided to do some reading, curious as to what the writings will tell.
Raising an arm, they gestured with an open hand, pointing to the at the direction of the respective statue as they continue. The first statue on the left from the entrance,"Virtus" sitting firmly with arms crossed and a bearded face, they continued on to the left a statue with a gentle figure "Venia" long haired and with a kind gesture. Next is the statue Niax had stood nearby earlier "Verecundia" sitting tall and controlled pose. "Verum" with two figures eyes covered and statues resembling some sort of balance, across the entrance of the temple. Next to it was a statue with a rather long beard,"Vigilia". "Volo" being next to it with a more relaxed and casual appearance, and the last enclave being "Votum" with a rather light appearance as the one before. Niax turned back to the statue at the center. They wouldn't forget Illusaperde the main goddess in the cult's pantheon, the statue bigger and lighting more tense then of the virtues.

Scorpius smiled slightly at that and looked at the huge statue of Illusapadere. "Of course I believe they're real. I'm not usually one to believe in gods, I am a king after all, but I can feel their presence and their subtle influences. This place is deeply spiritual, and their touch is more prominent in these areas." The scorpion king looked off into the distance, his slight smile turning into a hard grimace. "Then again, they never helped during the Puppeteers invasion, but I think that's more to do with the fact that they don't really care about the cult much. If they did, they would have intervened, at least in some way. Also Niax, isn't there one other god? The more... unsavory one?" The king ran his hand through his hair awkwardly, looking at the lantern creature standing before him.

"A fair amount, I guess" Niax answered. Religious beliefs isn't a side they tend to connect with. They assume the pantheon might as well exist enough for some people so that they are to be created into a spiritual belief albeit only with little amounts of believers. Whether or not they are truly divine gods or just simple ones with a much greater power could be a mystery they would not know about enough to solve.
Upon listening the scorpion king's reply, they faced Jeu once more in a turn and asked back "How about you?"
They listened as Scorpius talked on a matter, walking to the empty pedestal at the front of the room. As he finishes they commented "Why would they? I doubt they would get that much or care at all from non-dedicated people." Let alone ones that barely know they exist "And let us say they did get involved, what intervention would we experience to say that it was indeed from them?"
As for the 'other god'… They didn't quite want to bring light to this one "Hmm, yes…" Unsavory being… a rather different method than the Virtues "His name is Furvus." Their gaze drifting to the white statue flawlessly carved and unmarked, flames on white candles creating a rather harsh and deep shadow down to the dark curved ladle with and underneath the goddess "I'm afraid you won't be seeing a statue of him like the rest."
