Nylios stood just behind Tapi's flames, staring begrudgingly out to the cult manor. He felt remorse for the cult members he knew he would inevitably fight against and he knew at some point he'd come face to face with Lunar again- something he most definitely didn't want. How could he be expected to fight his best friend...? How could he betray someone he cared for so much so easily?
His shoulders sunk low and his head drooped. "All I wanted was to dance with somebody..." he whispered, pain etched into his chiseled face. "And now... Now we're at war." he snarled, turning away from the manor and making his way deeper into the forest. Tapi's time as cult leader needed to end. Nylios wanted his freedom- something he could never have as a genie- but to be free from the cult, now that was truly a tempting offer. Not only did he want his own freedom but the freedom of his friends of his family. If helping Famosity would give Lunar and everyone else their freedom then so be it. If he had fight every last of them he would. It for the greater good. It would be for their freedom.
Nylios tried hard to convince himself and though it worked almost completely he couldn't help the tears spilling from his eyes. The lamp's magic would soon drag him back and he couldn't help but wonder if Lunar would be there to greet him.

A vaguely circular shape of void opened on the ground and Laevith burst out of it, waving her hand in front of her face and coughing. She had been nearing the manor, meaning to join the party, when she saw that someone had set a fire. She had gotten closer than she should have and got stuck in the fire, which led to her at this particular moment, lying in the grass, panting, smelling of smoke.
Laevith was quite happy that Famosity was trying to liberate the cult. She had her doubts, of course, but she'd decided that she'd throw in her lot with the revolters all the same. She'll be damned before she let an opportunity to regain her soul go. Well, she thought, I'm probably damned all the same, but that's besides the point. She sat up slowly, hearing someone nearby crying. Her face fell when she saw that it was her friend Nylios. She knew that he wanted freedom, but his crying meant that Lunar didn't think that following Famosity was the best idea. She slid slowly towards him and settled next to him with her stomach on the grass, propping herself up with one elbow and setting her other hand on his arm.
"Hey Nylios," she murmured. "How are you holding up?"
She heard footsteps and a faint buzzing behind her, and she turned slightly towards the source of the noise and saw a regal figure standing nearby.
"And how are you, dear?" she asked her. "Did you understand that it was in your best interest to run as well?" She seemed like a pleasant woman, and Laevith would hate to need to fight someone this soon.

Nylios couldn't help be a blubbering mess, it was in his nature to care too much. His friends had been like his family, and just like in the past he betrayed them again. Much to his displeasure he was starting to see a pattern here. "You and you're stupid codes." he mumbled, annoyed at how much of a child he was being. All of this, everything was just too overwhelming for him.
"I am most definitely not fine, Lae." he answered her, his shoulders dropping even lower than before. "She doesn't get it." he cried, "This will help us! This could free us! But... her... she..." Nylios sighed heavily before a voice caught his attention.
He spun about, searching for who the voice belonged, when his eyes landed upon a woman carrying with her several things, dressed in a beautiful all be it perhaps a little ruffled clothing, and an armada of bees behind her. "Well..." he whimpered, "That's not something you see everyday."
"I take it from you clothing you're from the cult." he sighed, wondering if she supported Tapi but thinking better of it since she seemed to be leaving. "Leaving?" he asked with a sigh, glancing deeper into the forest, "So am I..."

Laevith smiled gently at Apis, then pat Nylios's arm a few times before rising up on her tail and straightening her ripped and slightly singed gown.
She absently placed a hand on a tree, then painted her glyph onto it with a pigment she had produced from her pocket. She didn't know when she'd have to come back, after all, and it had become a sort of habit of hers to place marks in as many places as she could. "Yes, it's true that I got caught in the fire, but do not blame yourself for it. I'm glad that your bees," she paused for just a second to glance at the blue bees, "are alright," she said softly, still smiling gently. "My name is Laevith, and I wish we didn't meet during such an unfortunate occurrence."

With a deep rooted sigh, Nylios managed to regain his composure. "I understand the not wanting to fight... believe me I do." he agreed, "But if its the only way to stop all this madness then that's what I'll do." It was at that moment Nylios felt entirely and completely sure in his decision. He would deal with Lunar eventually, and they'd get past it- at least he hoped they would. For now all that mattered was the companions he had with him now and the war that was soon coming. Wiping his face with his hands he said, with a muffled voice, "I'm Nylios. It's a pleasure to meet you Apis, though I do wish it was under better circumstances."
At Lae's touch Nylios found comfort, he was glad to have a friend with him. He pat the top of her head, thankful that she had made it out safe and that they seemed to be on the same side, if only he could say the same for his other friends.

Getting out of a manor that seemed to practically collapsing in on itself was terrifying enough, but the possibility that she could be alone in betrayal daunted her far more. It was quite obvious where most of the cultist's loyalties were; not surprising, with all the debts they owe Tapi in thankfulness in what the cult gave them and the relationships that could only be savaged in the cult. She was at the very least glad about her minuscule amount of ties in the latter, though she found it to be ironic comparing it to her feelings only hours ago.
Still, what was done was done, leaving a small fallen angel to stumble through the woods with her face and arms covered in dust from being in the ballroom when the wall burst and ash from the fire burning outside. Unfortunately, she didn't take the time to change from her party outfit, an inconvenience that she would most likely come to regret. At least, more so than she did at the moment. She was more preoccupied with her lack of shoes and the foliage being too low for her to properly fly. Her feet aching and her head sore, she groaned and paused for a moment to pull out a bobby pin she had used to keep her braid in a bun. She then proceeded to pull her hair tie off completely, letting her hair fall around her shoulders.
And that's when she heard voices.
Cautiously, Eve followed them until she saw a faint blue light and upon getting closer, she saw three other cultists. The angel felt her heart beating harder in excitement, thankful she was in this endeavor alone. She approached slowly, calling out, "You guys left too?"

Morphodoe sniffed and tried her best to stop crying. A group of her creations were with her, the rest spread across the forest to hide, and they gave comfort and encouraged her to be strong. It was sort of working, but they ceased when there were voices. Following the sound, the party found a group of cultists, but one of them stood out to Morphodoe. "Apis?" She quietly called out.

Nylios took notice of the newest member approaching them. Another person just like them. Leaving the cult for the better, only she seemed worse off than they. "Only thing to do was leave." he sighed, "No way in hell was I going to stay with those blood thirsty creeps. Though I have to admit... I don't know much about Famosity or why she's doing this actually, but if she can free us from the cult I'm good on relying on a bit of blind faith."
Nylios looked to Lae with a defeated smile when yet another voice caught his attention. Another member. Another one hoping to be liberated. "Well..." he chuckled, "at least our numbers are growing."
((Now that there are five of us I've closed the RP and the order will go as follows: Nylios, Apis, Lae, Eve, and then Morphodoe. This is to avoid confusion and to keep things orderly. Thank you for understanding and for joining in on the rp!))

Laevith returned Nylios's smile, then sighed and shook her head slightly. She didn't like this very much; she would fight, of course, she was capable of those things, but these people; the regal Apis with the bees she treats as her children, the young feathered girl, this newcomer who seemed to be named Morphodoe and looked just as young as the feathered girl, her sweet friend Nylios; even though they should be able to fight, they shouldn't be subjected a war.
"Morphodoe, is it?" She asked, shaking off her thoughts. "Are you alright? Are you going to take refuge in the forest?" She turned back towards the other figure that had approached them, taking in the newcomer's disheveled appearance. She seemed to have been caught in the fire too, and seemed a little worse for wear as well.
"We've decided against staying in the manor too," she continued, in answer to her question. "For different reasons, of course, but that's besides the point. I'm Laevith, and you are...?"

"You guys can call me Eve," the angel replied, rubbing her shoulder and looking over their small group. They seemed to be in much better shape physically than she was, she had to admit, but she could safely assume most were as mentally exhausted from everything that's happened in the last few hours. She cracked a small smile at the thought; it only took a few hours for Tapi to lose control of a good chunk of her cult? Maybe she did make the right choice in leaving.
Eve looked back at what members they had. There were at least five of them, no, six counting the leader of this group, but at seeing them she realized there were probably more out there. However, numbers were pretty useless when she had no idea what they were supposed to do. "Do you guys know what we're supposed to do on her side? You know, job wise?"

Morphodoe rushed forward and hugged Apis, her summons quick to keep up with her steps. She hummed in confirmation to the question before clearing her throat. She murmured, "I'm g-guessing you did the same?" Her voice was slightly hoarse due to crying. A rabbit rubbed its head against her leg to calm her some more before looking at Apis, and nodded in greeting.
