Echo sighed again. "Dante I'm here alone. This place needs care. I'm hardly ever here. Heck one of the cabinets in the kitchen had a branch coming out of it. I just don't know. Maybe I shouldn't get a place to stay. Just sleep wherever I fall. That might work." Echo furrowed her brow and closed her eyes.

Dante was saddened by her words. "You don't have to be alone Echo, you have all your friends to keep you safe and make you feel loved," Dante said. He caressed her cheek and said,"please look at me hummingbird, I don't want you to feel like this...if you don't want to be alone why don't I stay with you when you need to come home, that way you won't feel so sad." He really wasn't sure what he should say, but all he knew is that he wanted Echo to be happy. He'd do everything in his power to make sure she didn't feel sad.

Echo shook her head. "No. What about Enfer? No, I'll just stay here. Clean it up. Don't worry I'll be fine. I can stay here." She said. She looked over at the balcony again, watching the curtains move. "I can put a few things away, make more room." She muttered

"Enfer still has his family...he wouldn't mind if I came to stay with you..." Dante said. The shifter looked to be on the brink of tears as he gave a fake smile. "Now come on Hummingbird, please stop talking like this...just...just be happy, okay?" Dante stated, hugging the other, lying his head on her chest.

Echo looked down and smiled. "Hey. Come one now, you're not the mushy one, I am. I know you can give me a real smile. I'm fine. Always am. Always will be." She ran a hand through Dante's hair and rested her chin on his head. "You're like a marshmallow. A soggy one." She took a deep breath. "Yeah I'm fine. Hey, you wanted me to look at you huh? Well, tell me what color my eyes are. Can you tell if I'm lying or not?"

Dante whined and refused to move. He was glad Echo was feeling better though. "Don't call me a soggy marshmallow," Dante said, his voice slightly muffled, his tail flicking back and forth like a cat.

Echo laughed. "But that's what your acting like. I'm supposed to be the soggy marshmallow, not you." She leaned down and kissed Dante's head, her hand still running through his hair. She pulled out a handkerchief and laid it on Dante's head, letting it cover his eyes. "Here, stop being soggy." She smiled again.

"I can't help it..." Dante said, his voice still muffled as he grabbed the handkerchief. He sat up and cleaned himself up even though he hadn't started crying. "Now will you stop calling me a soggy marshmallow?" Dante asked, puffing up his cheeks like a irritated child.

Echo laughed again. "Alright alright I'll stop. Now get up, I have an entire treehouse to clean. Let's not forget that this is basically a mansion in a bunch of branches." She lightly pushed Dante off the couch and picked up the blanket she had layed over the cushions. "Sit in the chair."

Dante shifted into a black cat and jumped off the couch, going to sit on a windowsill. "I'm out of the way," Dante said, brushing off the dust from the window so he wouldn't need to move. He prefered to be in his animal form rather than human since it was very relaxing, to him at least.

Echo rolled her eyes and gathered ever peice of clothing in the current room and threw it in a basket, carrying it to the washing room. Soon everything was washing and she headed back to the sitting room, a broom and a dustpan in hand. As soon as the dust began to fly around she gave a sneeze. "Oooooh so much dust." She shook her head when it cleared. "So, how are things in the forest? Are they treating you right?" She asked. She set the cleaning supplies down.
