Outgoing, cheeky, and precocious. Mari’s quite touchy and friendly, and won’t hesitate to jump up to pat your head or sling her arm around your shoulders. Despite her childish exterior, she’s been around the block; it’s hard to faze her. She’s blunt and says almost anything that comes to mind. She doesn't pick up on subtlety well. Grey morality, due to her only role models being Tapi and the other tenebras, who aren't exactly known as upstanding citizens. Her assertiveness and curiosity translate into somewhat kleptomaniac tendencies. Simply asking for things is strange to her, she either takes immediately or bides her time for an opportunity to strike.

It looks like it could be a scene from an “I Spy” book. There’s a method to her madness that no one else can seem to decipher. Piles of trinkets and boxes sit on mismatched furniture, unfinished puzzles strewn on various parts of the floor, all illuminated by dim lamps. Her room feels vast yet comfortably cramped, with narrow pathways cutting through the chaos.

- Destructive Energy [x]: Decays substances into a black dust, can also release an object’s mana/magic into an absorbable form for her to consume. Direct contact most effective for large areas, though it's usually combined with umbrakinesis for distant offensive attacks. Not particularly effective on its own, especially if the opponent has ample regeneration. Pretty useful for getting rid of obstructions in her path.

- Shade Walking [x]: Shadow travel comes to her like second nature, and she uses it as often as her own two feet. Mari pops out of literally anywhere, regardless of position or elevation. Her movement resembles Portal gameplay. [x]
- Umbrakinesis: can manipulate shadows in various ways, like twisting them into solid tendrils or a thick mist. In constant use, because she keeps shadows condensed in her cloak to use as dimensional storage and as a buffer between her and the elements. Can be compared to air and waterbending [x] [x]

- Specializes in quick, stealthy in-and-out jobs. Offense isn’t her style, but she definitely knows how to use her powers if need be.
- Once detached from any container/host mana and souls are consumable for her body, and she can use such energy for her own uses.
- Fighting style is light and fast. Managing to get a hit on anything but a shadow may prove difficult.
