Echo laughed at Dante's face. "What's wrong Dante?" She stood up and placed a purple flower in his hair. "You look like your brain is overheating." She laughed.

Tarquin chuckled and shook his head. "Only one song? I would've guessed at least two." Tarquin brushed his bright blue hair out the way of his eyes. He needed to cut it soon

Dante coughed and rubbed his face to get rid of his blush. "It's nothing Echo," Dante said, trying to remain calm. He raised an eyebrow at Tarquin when he said this and asked,"what do you mean?" Dante pushed a few strands of hair behind his ear.

Tarquin shrugged. "You seem like a two song kinda guy." He said. He put the flower in his hand behind Echo's ear. "For example, Echo is a ten song, soft lullaby kind of girl." "You're a two song, mix of monotone and soft lullaby kind of guy. But that's just an observation based guess." He shrugged again.

Echo shook her head. "Nothing my ass." She mumbled. "I'm going for a walk. You two, create a bromance or something. Whatever guys do." She said. She plucked up her bouquet and pulled a ribbon off her wrist, wrapping it around the flowers as she began to walk. "I swear. He looked like he was going to explode. Was it really that bad?" She mumbled to herself.

Dante eventually got it a nodded. "Oh...yeah I guess that's a pretty good guess, I'm not really sure what kind of lullaby guy I am but that would be close," Dante said. He heard what echo said and turned to look at her. He was confused an a bit worried for the mindreader.

Echo kept walking down a barely visible trail, picking a few flowers as she went, her bouquet growing. She kept singing as she walked along. "Am I crazy? Maybe we could happen, yeah. Will you still be with me when the magic's all run out? If only I knew what my heart was telling me. Don't know what I'm feeling, is this just a dream?" She sang softly to herself.

Dante turned to Tarquin and said,"I'm gonna go check on her, I'm worried." He stood up and went after the mindreader. Dante made sure she didn't hear his footsteps as he wrapped his arms around her from behind and pulled her close. "I really like your singing voice, hummingbird," Dante said softly. "So what's up? You seem upset," Dante said, a worried look in his eyes.

Echo jumped and let out a small shout when she felt arms wrap around her. She tilted her back and looked up at Dante. "Me? Nah I'm fine. Just picking flowers. She pulled another flower from the bouquet and tucked it behind his other ear, opposite of the first flower. "Just fine."

Tarquin watched Dante walk off. He chuckled and leaned back. "Lucky guy. Wonder if he knows how long I've been trying to get Echo to go out with me? And he's done it within a year." Tarquin laughed again. "Oh I have the worst luck, huh."

"Come on hummingbird...you know lying doesn't suit you," Dante said, taking a flower from her bouquet and putting it in her hair. "So tell me what's really wrong, I'll keep holding you like this until you do," Dante said, nuzzling against her. He hummed. He always enjoyed holding Echo like this, especially when he knew something was wrong. It was impossible to hide something from him, he could always see through a lie.

"Nothing's wrong. Honest." Echo smiled up at Dante. "You think these flowers will liven up my treehouse? I haven't been back in a while. I need to clean it." She said, looking down at the flowers. A single rose poked out, and she pulled it from the fray. "A rose by any other name." She looked back up. "You know you've said that to me before? 'Youknow lying doesn't suit you.'" She laughed. "There's more to a brain is than just a squishy, wrinkly blob."

Tarquin reached down and scooped up a handful of pebbles. He began throwing them at the water again. A soft padding sound floating to his ears, and when he looked down, a black cat sat beside him. "Dracula, nice of you to join me." He greeted. The cat rolled his eyes. "Win her from him." The cat spoke. Tarquin shook his head. "Nah, Drac. I like my position as best friend."

Dante nodded when she said this. "Those flowers would help to brighten up that mansion of a treehouse you have...I swear it could compare to the size of Tila if it was a little bigger," Dante said with a chuckle. "Yes I have said that to you before...when you were acting all depressed and down," Dante said as he kissed her head. "You also told me I'm strangely light once...like a cloud, but that's because I was flapping my wings," Dante said, shifting his weight so he was practically laying on top of her. He raised an eyebrow at her last statement and hummed,"that is true...the brain is a complicating thing, but each one, no matter what species, works the same."
