Hello, Grandma Tea here!
So as you can see, a certain group of asshats are back. To keep things clear and whatnot, new discussion thread for new chapter. Haha. Get it. Chapter.
So you wanna know what the hell to do this time around? This year long event (yes, you will have a year to play with the Puppeteers) is for everyone who didn't get to participate in the first one. As the message said last week, they are not here to harm us. I hope. However, you very much should be worried if your cultsona was NOT released by the Master or Toy who captured them. Then you will have to beg any of the Puppet Masters (who are stickied to the top of each chapter board) for mercy and release. Your pupsonas already have instructions in the Fanpups thread. If you have questions about the history and customs of the pups, go to the Doctrine thread.
Now for the fun part: how to interact. Wanna make a pupsona? Go in the thread of the OPM of the chapter you wanna join and ask "So hey! You're cool. I'm cool. Let's be cool together!" Wanna have your cultsona play with an OPM or GE? Pretty much same procedure!
All questions and discussions go in this thread here where your beloved giant tour guide will try their damndest to help you out in this trial of an upcoming year. Just know that my cultsona is doing exactly what you think he is: lying on the ground screaming.
Thank you and have fun with this guys!

I've actually been wondering this while reading the profiles: Where are they staying?

I've actually been wondering this while reading the profiles: Where are they staying? They stay in Eventide when they visit. They will be in and out of town. Exact whereabouts you would need to discuss with them individually. For obvious reasons they may not wish for cultists to know their exact whereabouts in Eventide.

So has Eventide been completely abandoned by the previous residents, or are the puppeteers and residents sharing Eventide?

Eventide residents just think they're getting amazing amounts of customers. Influx of new people they don't anticipate staying long due to rumors of the weirdness in town.

Another note! Before any of you go seeking your revenge, REMEMBER WHAT THE MESSAGE SAID! PLAY NICE, AND THEY WILL PLAY NICE WITH YOU! Which means don't pick fights unless you wanna be punished. Trust when I say you don't wanna be punished, whether by a Puppeteer or by Tapi. We're all on probation here as potentially dangerous beasts.

More notes keep coming as I keep noticing things and have things brought to my attention. Good morning all!
If your pup has more than three beasts, keep in mind there is a possibility that they can lose their minds from the sheer number of creatures they control. Think of it this way:
The primary beast holds the heart of the Puppeteer, therefore guiding their feelings and moods with their own indirectly. The beasts that follow don't have as strong an impact, but they still make a small emotional impact because duh, they're connected.
Take Liam (jerkass) for example. He just had Relic for a long time. Relic was a vengeful, cruel, terrible beast who greatly influenced Liam's actions. His second beast was Tea, who indirectly brought a bit more variety to Liam's range of emotion, but not by that much mind you. Relic's influence was centuries old by then (I believe). But then Liam began tacking on more beasts, such as Leland, Nicoli, and Lola. Each would have an impact on his personality, and since they're all VASTLY DIFFERENT PERSONALITIES his own would start to fracture in due time.
So it's totally awesome if your Master (and it has to be a Master) can have multiple beasts. Just keep in mind that you can lose yourself in your pursuit of power. You'll notice that the Puppet Masters do not have more than three beasts. There's a reason for that.

Question: If a fanpup was killed in the previous event, but the beast was left alive, what does that mean for the beast?

Question: If a fanpup was killed in the previous event, but the beast was left alive, what does that mean for the beast? If the pup did not release the beast before death, that means that a Puppet Master may claim that beast as property and either release it or reassign it to someone. I highly suggest choosing a Puppet Master to beg for mercy and release (if you want them released that is). Otherwise, that beast very well may get reclaimed by another Master.

Important to consider when taking beasts: a Puppeteer may only siphon abilities a beast was born with, so if a beast was born human you get jack shit from branding them and good luck commanding them to wield the current powers.
This has been a message from certified pups expert Tea.

Questions:
1. What are the details on the whole branding and heart removal ritual thingy that Pups do? Does it have to happen at a ceremony with Masters present and stuff with like special conditions or can a Puppeteer just go out and find a beast to brand?
2. Oh and my old pup is canonically dead but his beast was released just before he died, is it ok to have that beast part of a story I'm working on with Scorpius and his city or is that not allowed?
Thank you for your time!

[...] Some information on that can be found here, in case you haven't seen yet, but it doesn't answer all of your questions

Thank you for your time! 1. The only time a ceremony is necessary is when a Toy is just getting his very first and primary beast. The rest is the Master's to decide. 2. I don't see why not.

must a beast come from the Puppeteer's stock of beasts or can a new puppeteer go out to find one they want to brand? I'm trying to write an origin story and I don't want to go against what the established lore for the Puppeteers is but I don't really know much about them. I tried searching it up but couldn't find anything that was clear cut to define it
