Tea had an armful of kittens. Rather, he just had kittens. Only two had decided to stay in his arms while the rest settled on his shoulders or, in Rosemary's case, in one of his coat pockets. Lavender and Rosemary were greatly opposed to being held, but Sage and Basil were happily balanced on his forearm. Parsley took one shoulder while Lavender and Thyme struggled for his other shoulder. He grimaced at the razor sharp claws that sometimes penetrated his clothes and hit his skin, but made no noise. Moving slowly, he carried them from the common room where he had met up with Lola briefly and then took his usual spot in her room. Soon he would have his own home and he wouldn't need to impose on her so much. For now, he had his children to watch. And, it would seem, a horse. He approached the once unicorn and now woman in Lola's room with great caution. The last time he had spoken to her, he had been in the process of betraying the only people who had ever given a damn about him. He sighed, snuggling his kittens as Parsley mewled a greeting. He stifled a snort and told Famosity, "Hi. Looks like I'll be hanging out with you while Lola goes off to deal with some miscreants. I'm sorry for the inconvenience." It was hard to turn off his maintenance autopilot tone some days. It seemed that day was one of those days.

Fam was sitting on Lola's bed, inspecting her fingers. A few books were spread out in front of her as she gently reached to pick one up. She was still growing used to having the appendages and needed all the practice she could get. Though apparently she had time. Who knew when Tapi would turn her back? Not bothering to actually read the book, she leafed through it as gracefully as she could manage, fingers still fumbling along the pages.
As Tea entered the room, she barely acknowledged his existence. The mewing of a kitten caused her to look up and see him standing before her, kittens crawling over him like some sort of tall scratching post. Carefully setting back down the book, she replied, "Must be quite the opportunity for you. Watching someone like me do something like this." There was no hiding her frustration which managed to upset her even more.

Tea came to sit down across from Famosity. As soon as he did, the kittens were spreading out over the bed in search of their own resting spots. Two of the black kittens nestled on one of the books, the third curling up on the pillow with one tuxedo, the second tuxedo crawling under the bed covers, and the tabby remaining happily on his shoulder. Watching Famosity, he could feel her frustration. He read her a lot easier now that she was human, and could imagine just how irritating it was to learn to use fingers.
"I know it's not the same but," he pulled off one of his light gloves and showed her his claws, "I actually had to learn to use my hands after growing these." He demonstrated by moving slowly, letting his claw lift the page rather than struggling with his fingertips. "Trick is patience. You tear and hurt more by acting out of anger."

Famosity narrowed her eyes at Tea. "Why should I care what you've done?" She snipped, voice faltering. Honestly it scared her that his comment made her feel better, it scared her that her voice cracked, everything scared her. The one thing that provided comfort was the tabby on Tea's shoulder. It looked at her knowingly and she understood that. Animals being mindful of her solidified she was still a unicorn yet. She knew they wouldn't touch her just as much as they knew not to. Though a part of her now longed for company and she couldn't explain it, but another part feared when that longing was satisfied she'd no longer be a unicorn. Shaking her head, she tried to calm her emotions and reach for another book not covered in kittens.

Tea accepted her abrasiveness in stride. Closing his mouth and palm, he pulled away and slowly started moving the kittens off her books. "You shouldn't," he quickly amended. Things were very different after all. "Anyway . . . is there anything you'd like to do?" Tea asked as he set the kittens down on the floor and watched as they all ran in various directions to play. Parsley climbed down his back and leapt to follow his siblings. Flexing his arms for the first time the kitten had taken his perch, he kept his emotions to himself and decided not to share anymore advice unless prompted.

"You can't provide what I'd like," Famosity stated as calm as she could. Taking the book in her hands, she couldn't help but feel more confident after Tea told her that he had to learn this as well. It was gross. Her fingers worked to turn the page, but one slipped against the paper. She hissed in pain as the page sliced a small cut on her index finger. The book dropped out of her hands. She stared at the papercut for a moment in what could only be mixture of fear and confusion. "It's not going away," She whispered. Even in her skeletal form, her body could heal small injuries and numb her pain. It was strange seeing and feeling herself be hurt, no matter how small. She glanced up to Tea before asking confusedly, "The book hurt me? I am still hurt? How do I fix it?"
