Although we’re pretty casual, the most important thing is that you aren’t an asshat.
★General Rules:
-Swearing is fine, directing slurs and insults at a group member is not. (While swearing is allowed please do not spam a string of curse words and the like)
-If somebody asks you to stop doing something, stop, no questions asked.
(Even if it's swearing, calm yo tits)
-Respect privacy! Don’t reveal sensitive personal information (email, phone, full name, etc.) about other people unless they’ve given you express consent. Even then, it should probably be relayed to the relevant party via private message, not group chat.
-Keep NSFW (extreme gore/smut/violence) off the forum, rules and guidelines of freeforums.net will not tolerate this and neither will we. Take your works privately, or to your personal Blog.
★Thread General Rules:
Do not do any of the following:
-Post personally identifiable information (i.e. name, address, email, phone number, etc.)
-Derail a thread's topic
-Post links to phishing sites
-Post spam (i.e. +1, 10char, "BUMP") or Re-post Closed, Modified, Deleted Content
-Openly argue with a moderator
-Off-Limit Topics/Replies
-Do not post any topics/replies containing the following:
-Porn, inappropriate or offensive content, leaked content or anything else NSFW
If you’re trying to have a conversation with one or two people while the group is talking about something else, consider taking it to private message with that person so as not to clutter up threads and the like.
★Skype
(Please note these groups are not related or moderated by the forum admins. Use at your own risk.)
Please do not pull people into the group skype chats without asking the group. The majority will vote/have their say, but will ultimately be left up to the admins/host of said chat rooms.
★No Backseat Moderating
Let the moderators do the moderating. Backseat moderating is when people who are not moderators try to enforce the forum rules. If you see a person breaking the rules, take advantage of the Report button or simply ignore the offensive post(s) and thread. Message the mods/admins if you believe it is urgent.
Report Posts to Moderators
Should you observe a fellow Community member breaking these rules please report the post or item by clicking the Report (button located on every item/post)
Gathering proof is important to making sure we get the right story- so screenshots, forwarding messages to an admin after reporting the issue is highly recommended for a fast response and resolve.
Issues that we the admins are unable to see (such as personal messages or Skype chats) cannot and will not take action unless the above rule has been followed.
★Repeated Offenders
Repeated offenders of the above rules and guidelines will be banned from the Community. Any moderator has the ability to ban a user for violating the rules at their discretion regardless of the 3 strike system if serious enough.
We will have a 3 strike system in place for repeat offenders (3rd strike and you're out). If you are doing something within the forums, chats or any group discussions that is unsavory to the majority you will be dealt with accordingly.
If there is still an issue that continues regardless of warnings you will be banned, or removed from Skype chat rooms/not re-added.
You may appeal to the chandeliers/admins if you believe any judgement was unfair but must be met with proof- but please note each strike is not taken lightly and we will act accordingly if we must.
★Basic Roleplay Rules (detailed versions posted in all RP sections)
-Do Not God-Mod.
-No Overpowering. (Unless the situation calls for it and it has been agreed upon by all concerning parties)
-No Auto-Ing. If you perform an action give the other(s) a chance to respond to it.
-Do not Power Play. You are in control of your character and your character alone. You do not move another person's character. At all.
-No one liners. Rp's should have a bare minimum of three sentences.
-In group rp's please try to respond to any and all parties interacting with you. Once you make a post wait until the appropriate responses to it are made before posting again.
★Cultsona's
-Each forum account (save for ones like the Puppeteers (that are only allowed to be made by Admins)) are allowed to have ONE AND ONLY ONE sona connected to it. (ex: "Bob" is the sona linked to "BobDensworth269" 's account)
While we understand there are times in which your sona is linked to another entity (ex: Lola or Prophet ) anything other than that is prohibited. (ex: having your entire cultsona's family interact through your account) This is so others don't get confused as to who they're rp-ing with. If you would like to do these kinds of rp's, please do them off the forum.
-A while ago it was voted on/decided that one would be allowed to create a "secondary sona" (How To is linked) that you could have another sona to play as. Everyone is allowed to have a secondary sona, but once you have one, no other sona's are allowed to be made.
A secondary sona will belong to a seperate account you create. (Ex: "George" is sona linked to the "GeorgeRocks" account, which is the secondary sona account for "BobDensworth269") Having anymore accounts on the forum just so you can rp more than those two sona's not only throws off our member count, but also just gets messy. If you do end up creating more sona's for some reason, please keep them off the forum and use them in other spaces (say tumblr)
