Aranea chuckled. " I never said it would be easy, or fair. Maybe we're being too amibtious here. Let's try just forcing out the raw magic. I saw you do it with your sword. Magic is connected to the mind, heart, and spirit. Use them in your favor. If you want to get out a burst of magic, think about something that makes you feel enraged, or jubiant. Extreme emotions can help when summoning magic for beginners."

"Okay. I think I can do that... Again. " He gracefully lifted his hand and then quickly lifted his hands in a snapping like motion his hand lightening up. Laughing he looked at his hand. " Ha I did it!" As his happiness incresed so did the size of the flame. " Woah, i've never seen it this high before" He nervously looked toward her, he started to look panicked. " I've never gotten this so high! I don't know what to do! What I do?!"

" I can start a forest fire with this?! How do I make it smaller?!" He tried to concetrate on making smaller but only suceeded in increasing it as it esclated towards his arm. He tried shaking the flames off trying to see if ot will extinguish like that.

Aranea hissed. "Stop!" She grabbed him and held him steady with all four arms. "Calm down. That's how you make it smaller. Extreme emotions make it grow, no emotions make it shrink. Deep breaths."

He looked shocked at her, shaking slightly from panicking. The fire from his hand extinguishing leaving him looking down at the hand holding him, seeming much child-like then he usually is. " This magic stuff scares me cause I can't control it."

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, setting him down. "Magic is hard, and difficult. It can be unfair how some grasp it easily, while others take years. But, I promise you. This may be harsh, but you won't kill yourself with your level of magic...yet, anyway. With me here, you can't cause any harm to an open field. Unless you spontaneously combust, because that could happen too. But it is very rare. Anyway, you made a mighty flame, and I believe that you can utelize it. Now, try again, but this time, don't use extremes." She made a face that looked like a half smile, have scowl.

He took a shaky deep breath, " Okay." This time he sat down, crisscrossed and glanced at Aranea with a bit more confidence before closing his eye. Breathing deeply he flicked his wrist slowly. His hand lit up with a small steady fire. He remained in a calm position.

"That's it. Calm, cool. BLock out your surroundings. Focus on your flame of magic. Let it consume your thoughts and focus on nothing but it and my voice." She grinned at his improvement. "And whatever you do, don't lose..." She stopped abruptly. She whirled around and shouted, "Focus!"

He cringed a little at her emphasizes on focus she had but none the less he continues to keep calm and focus on his flame. Twisting his hands upwards he tried to increase the blue flames. Succeeding he managed to increase it a little and then slowly moved his hands away from his chest, wishing away the flames. He opened his only visible eye and looked up to Aranea smiling. " Thank you for helping me."

"It was nothing. I'm impressed." She grinned again, an idea forming in her head. "You seem pretty good. Let's test it." She put up a finger, letting a flame dance on it. "Let's have a battle."

" A battle? I don't think I'm ready for that yet." He picked himself off the ground and headed back to where his sword had been abandoned on the floor since he had dropped it. The blade disappeared with a downward swipe and he places the handle on his belt and then turned back. " Are you sure?"

" I guess we can give it a try." He walked forward to meet Aranea. His hand went aflamed as he reached forward to grab his sword. Suddenly his outfit burned away and changed and his armor grew on from his upper thigh to his ankle with black boots still on. The yellow shirt with the eye was no longer visable as the cape's size changed to accomply a much more priest-like cape with a collar with the eye open. When the flames disspeared he was sucessfully in his knight form, a blue aura surrounding him. " Alright, I' m ready. " Finally yanking off the white cover off his eye he looked forward with now one brown eye and one blue candle flamed eye he smiled determinedly " Let's do this."

Aranea grinned, but this time it was different. Wide, too wide for most creatures. In a flash, she wove and threw webs around the entire area, closing them in the field. They lit with her magic, as did her eyes glow blue. Her hood came up over her head, while the bottom half of her cloack seemed to be torn away by some invisible being. With no bottom half, her spider abdomen was in plain sight, eyes opening and glowing all along it. She jumped high into the air, landing with an energy wave that knocked back anything near her. "Let's." She agreed, baring her teeth.
