"i believe it was the one with the goat legs and the chilly horns" Serena said, thoughtfully. She had seen the one in the hallways a few times, but she hadn't really gotten a change to talk to her. She seemed shy and a bit distant, as if she didn't want to talk to people. So Serena had kept her curiosity at bay and not approached her. Or him. She wasn't quite sure...she should probably settle for them in her mind until she knew better. "You say be wary of the higher ups...so...you're not one of them?" She asked after a short hesitation, looking at the rather fancy robes the other wore.

Flame heard of the member, she found her a couple times but they never actually interacted, just watched the other without their knowledge. Mainly because she seemed to be in business with one of the chandeliers, and she didn't want to mess with that yet.
"Do I look like one?" she teased, her clothes often made her appear to be a higher up with how complicated they looked. The chains and firey locks around her certainly made people question what they were for.
"No, I'm not there exactly. Votives may be higher than you but Chandeliers should be watched out for. Well, most of them. I'm just saying be careful, were not saints. And you seem pretty nice." she sighed.
At the mention of chandeliers, she put a hand to her face thoughtfully and she grew a dark smile that promised she knew things.
"Well, who knows. Maybe I'll be a chandelier in the future. That'd certainly be something." she chuckled.
The room temperature was suddenly colder, and Flame took that as a warning. Her footsteps made a distinct crunching sound now as the floor started to have ice crystals form on it. Now where was the trap?

A cold shudder ran down Serenas back as Flame hid the gloomy smile on her face. Something certainly felt dangerous about this person. She felt like one of those giant sea monsters that would like to eat her (Though, given, not more then she liked to eat them. But that had always been more a matter of desperation. They both were able predators and a fight was always tiring and dangerous, so both sides naturally preferred weaker pray. In Serena's case that was primarily human. And Serena could live months from one human. She didn't need much. But she certainly liked human cuisine.) and Serena trusted her intuition. It was, after all, what kept her alive in the deep sea. The only reason for her not reacting to the apparent danger was the sound of something crunching beneath her wheels. A bit startled she looked down and discovered...a weird, almost transparent texture on the floor (She had never seen Ice before). "What is that?" She asked alarmed and a bit angered about her own moment of abstraction. She seemed to have a lot of those lately. The unknown territory of out of the water just made her confused a lot. But before she could think to deep about that a giant spike of ice shoot out of a wall - targeting her. Without the slightest moment of hesitation she swung her body away from the threat, making her wheelchair fall between the projectile and herself and, trough the momentum of the move flew a few feet away from the immediate zone of danger, tumbling out of her chair and landing rather unceremoniously, the blanked half torn away, half twisted around her long tail, her hood thrown back and revealing her long, white hair and - more importantly - her 'ears' or rather the fins she had instead of them. Her face was twisted to display an emotion that was stuck between 'frightened' and 'angry predator' and shocks of sparking electricity flared around her body.

Flame didn't notice Serena's sudden fear of her. She just kept looking straight ahead as she listened to the sound of crunching ice and breathed in the steadily colder air with a calm and quiet glee.
"Hm? It's just ice." she chided in a tone like it was obvious.
What, she hadn't seen ice either? Her pale skin made it unthinkable she came from somewhere tropical.
The sudden boom of something slicing through air and a crash made her turn around in surprise. She noticed Serena first, and the long mermaid tail poking out of the blanket, as well as the long white hair and fins. Sparks snapped around her body and Flame's eyes turned to the giant ice spike that came from the wall.
The game was on now and she knew she had to move, she didn't have time to discuss life under the sea with frosted snowflake over here as she slid toward the wheelchair and stood it back up in one fast motion. Flame stared at the mermaid girl for a moment before running over to her and gathering the blanket up. Then she grabbed Serena wordlessly by the back and tail and put her back in her seat.
"Hang on were going for a ride-Woooooo!" Flame held onto the wheelchair and kicked themselves forward, moving similarly to an ice skater as they quickly sped up.
The spell seemed to be reacting more to this, the ice was quickly spreading into thick sheets around them. Flame was sure it'd send some icicles flying at them, or some ice spikes jutting out of the wall. She grinned with excitement.
