Admins have been talking kiddos- and so have you. With all this discussion going on it's time we made a choice.
Should people be allowed to have a secondary sona or not?
The Chandeliers and I have been talking and we think it might be doable, however limitations must be put in place. For those willing to take on a secondary sona they must be this character and only this character for a weeks time with a two week minimum as your main sona in between periods of use. (Please consider these words and rules before deciding to take on a Secondary.)
So basically what would happen is you would be your Main Sona for two weeks, your Secondary one for the week after, rinse, repeat.
You know the drill. Talk about it below, vote above. You have until 11:59pm EST on 6/12 to decide.

I find this to be a good idea, not everyone has to do it, and those who do do it get to explore the variations that come with having two different sonas.
Very fun.

I'd honestly rather have two sonas I can switch between at random than a designated main and secondary.

I am against, mostly because I am a stick in the mud and remember people by their sonas.
Also, it feels odd to have more than one. And kinda... tricky to manage.
I just.. idk.

Personally I'm against it too, I like associating people with a sona, and as soon as there are two that gets a lot more complicated and ― nyehw. Kind of against the spirit of things.
Sorry

I'm against it as well. With the set up it seems rather complicated, and having two 'sonas' seems weird.

I really think that it should be one sona and then original characters. What does this mean?
This means, you have one sona who is you, the rest are just side characters who are included in the world. They don't have to be (or aren't) cult members.
Like, say, The Rev had other demons (I think he is a demon) that he knew or worked with to help better The Cult or to get things done.
Or, the adoptable I just made, Xiao Sage has a son named Devon. He is not a Sona, but he still would be played by who ever adopts Xiao. She also runs a business, there has to be people who go there to hang out, people who work for her who may not be apart of The Cult.

As far as I know there is no rule against creating NPCs (like, without making an account for them).

I like the idea of NPCs. Kinda wanted to make a candle shop keeper... No powers and no special attributes. Just some shitty teenager who works the front of the store for looks.

Okay I know I missed the vote and everything but now that I'm getting more used to this whole cult thing, I have to say that I do not like the idea of a secondary sona. I mean a cultsona is supposed to be someone/something you can be for a period of time that you designate. When you add a secondary sona into the mix, the whole thing becomes much more complicated, especially if people, like myself for instance, associate others with their sona to make the whole remembering process more simple. I understand that having a secondary sona is entirely optional, but then there is the issue that others have already brought up in this very thread that some sonas might be abandoned, the cohesive story-line that we have going on might be disrupted, and a whole slew of other repercussions might arise. If this "secondary sona" thing is to be implemented, it would need a lot more planning, fine-tuning and clear concise rules to be stated. All in all, I don't think it should happen, but eh, I only joined this cult like 5 days ago anyway so maybe I'm just uninformed about the situation.
tl;dr i dont like secondary sonas. if they are to be done, i think it would need a lot of planning to be done well.

i also missed the voting procedures bt i agree with having only 1 sona as well; a lot of ppl have already explained as to why, so i wont bother repeating it anymore.. bt i do like the concept of having NPC's that would not only develop the stories, bt would also show that there are other ppl outside of the cult. maybe evn show their POV of things & wat they feel/act towatds d cult in general

When I spoke of NPC I did not mean that they should be part of the cult, because then they would be just like secondary sonas, I meant more like... background/supporting characters (that are not part of the cult)? For example, the whole of Grim's fucking family, their former partner Isaac Norewood and the people they encountered. All those have some importance, and I can't help but give even background characters a bit of work.
But they are not part of the cult, they will never interact with the cult... most of them are dead by this point. Some of Grim's grand-niblings are alive, but I don't think the chances of them interacting with the cult it very high, esp since Grim does not give a shit about them. Also I don't really want them to.
All those people are very much pre-cult.

I know that the vote is over, however, I agree with being able to have a secondary sona. Mainly because I have an unlimited imagination, and sometimes role-playing with the same character 27/7 can get repetitive, and I think that if you are able to switch it up, you won't get writer's block. Not only would you be able to switch it up a bit, but you'd be able to build up your backstory (depending on your character).
