Treehouse

"I have had this wound for hundreds of years, it can wait one more hour! Now are you coming or not!?" Enfer growled, his tail flicking back and forth angrily as his flame grew to larger and brighter. He was baring his fangs and glaring at Echo, but he let out a sigh and fell to his side with a huff of breath knowing it would be no use to bother fighting anymore.
"Just continue treating it, but when your done we're going to meet this dragon," Enfer stayed in his dragon form since it put less strain on his body and numbed most of the pain as she continued smearing the paste over his open wound.

Enfer lifted his long neck and turned his head so a lime green eye was looking at Echo. He grinned and blew out a smoke ring as a dull rumble from his throat shook the floorboards. "Thank you for healing me, I return the favor when my injury is gone," Enfer said, laying his head on the wooden floor, letting out another puff of smoke out his nose.

"I still want to take you to that dragon I spoke of," Enfer said, trying to sit up only to groan in pain as he fell to the ground with a pained moan as his breathing speed up and the flame on his tail dimmed a little before brightening once again. "I hate being like this, how much longer till my wound heals?" Enfer asked, going to lick the injury only to be slapped causing him to mutter to himself angrily.

"What's my home like? Hm...it's been so long since I've seen it but I'll try to remember as much as I can. We lived atop a very jagged mountain that no human would dare to climb, you may think it was just all rocks and dullness, but it was so beautiful. Many animals lived in the valley that was surrounded by the mountains, grass, flowers, and tress grew everywhere. Each member of the clan had a different role, taking care of the hatchlings or the eggs, the warriors who guarded the territory and the teachers who trained the dragons who came of age. I was a teacher, but I kept skipping my job more and more when I met Caleum. My mother got mad at me for a couple days after she heard about my secret meetings but she soon became proud to know I had someone to take care of me," Enfer explained with a smile as he continued thinking about the past.
"Beside or territory was the land of ice and snow, it seemed like winter every year there because of the ice dragons that lived there, along with my lover as I have told you before. Since they Wyverns that lived in my clan all used fire, we were bitter enemies. I'm still surprised that I feel in love with my opposite, but I don't regret it at all."

"Thanks for healing me--now, come on, I'm beginning to grow frustrated if I can't take you to the dragon who has this ability," Enfer said, standing and flapping his wings in a frantic motion.

Enfer smiled and gave a nod of his head. "This may be uncomfortable for a moment but please try to deal with it for a second," Enfer wrapped his tail around Echo's waist and easily walked out of the large treehouse and flew into the air with one flap of his wings and flew into the sky, placing Echo on his back as he flew toward the mountains in the distance.
The hybrid was so excited, but he tried to hide it by keeping a straight face as he glided through the sky, flapping his wings from time to time. "It won't be long before we get there, it takes a couple minutes when I'm going at this speed," Enfer said. He was so glad that he was known for his fast flying at times like this.

In the distance, his eyes lit up when he saw those same mountains he grew up in, they appeared to be just a mile away.
