Aevitas hovered slowly, watching the faint blue glow of the earth beneath her bubble. The music of the stratosphere echoed around her- and only she could hear it. It halted suddenly.
Someone was here.
Someone new.

"Ah... A fledgling... " Her voice was nothing but a whisper, but seemed to echo in the space around them. "Please, fear not. You will balance yourself once relaxed."
Aevitas turned slowly back towards the planet, ignoring the spinning visitor. "Not many were able to come here once. But the world changes and with it, I do too. What is it you seek, little one?"

Aevitas gestured to the world under her, the pride in her voice tickling the air around her.
" -And what may become of it. It is... out of balance... My work keeps me from attending my companions matters but, with you- " She turned back to the shy creature before her, grinning under her hood at what she now saw.
Circus paused, wondering why they stopped talking, before realizing the empty hood was watching her intently. She suddenly looked up again before beaming with a grin so wide her cheeks hurt. She was floating easily now. The control was effortless and easy.
Aevitas continued "... You may be just the member we need. All of you will be needed, in good time."

Although no one could tell, Aevitas smiled under her hood, and floated back towards the new member. Despite the zero gravity She loomed over the young candle, satisfied with the reaction of the creature. Most would be afraid, cower in fear of a master of time, but not this one. They were ready the moment they warped into the bubble.  "The light of your candle is strong little one, never falter, keep your hearts close.... And your enemies closer" Aevitas hushed, before dissipating into the space around her as Circus's smile faltered for no more than a second. The bubble popped, and down she returned to to the world. |
