Name: Amaya
Rank: Tealight!
Original Power: Initially possessing basic telekinetic abilities Amaya could use her abilities to grip, levitate, and stop objects, effectively granting her mental limbs, her offensive abilities included bullet projection and shield projection, something she rarely had cause to use.
Power Gained After Joining The Cult: After joining the cult her original abilities were augmented, growing to an advanced level, allowing her finer control with her mental 'arms' and projections, she can now manipulate things on a molecular level, doing so can have a hellish backlash though.
Molecular control means she is basically a living chemical factory, able to do things like move earth and pull water from the atmosphere.
Her rebirth granted her a rather versatile shape shifting ability, were in she can change or modify her form, becoming anything from an ant, a dragon or just growing extra limbs.
She has the ability to glean basic emotions and intent from the people around her, they need to be within about ten foot for this to work though.
Weaknesses:
The major flaw with her mental abilities is the strain it can cause, particularly molecular manipulation, as amaya was originally human she has retained a humans mental structuring meaning she gets migraines, internal bleeding from stress and may pass out if she pushes her powers to far, the information over load simply to much for her to take.
Ironically for all her versatility amaya's weakness to information overload means she can't fall back on one of many cultists last resorts, in hyper mode amaya simply goes berserk, so much information filtering into her mind causes it to shut down in defense and for instinct to take over, without the logic skills to tell it to stop her body keeps moving and if not knocked out or stopped she would die, and probably take out quite a few others along the way.
Her projectiles are only effective within a 200 foot range, becoming less effective and eventually vanishing at 250 feet.
Being dependent on her will both her shape shifting and her telekinetic abilities require her to be conscious to continue working or they will either cease functioning or she will revert to her default form.
As a shapeshifter silver burns her.
Wounds impair her shapeshifting, if she changes size or form when badly wounded it may transfer somewhere and become deadly, smaller cuts and bruises cause no issue.
Even if she takes on the form of another she doesn't gain any extra magical abilities, for example becoming a siren doesn't let her hypnotise people with singing, but becoming a fish would let her breathe under water.
Stairs.
Additional abilities/strengths:
She has an impressive poker face earned from running a business dependant on human relations and good impressions.
First aid training.
Minor "elemental" abilities, deriving from her molecular control, she can move earth and water and make fire, but must do this manually, thinking through every grain of sand she wants to shift and every molecule to react for fire.
Empathy: the ability to glean basic emotions and intent from the people around her, they need to be within about ten foot for this to work though.
She has equal strength to a horse.
Age/How Old You Appear: 22/22
Age You Joined The Cult: 18
Height: Originally 5' 11", after rebirth she is now 6 foot at the withers* and 7' 8" at the top of her head
Skin colour: Fair.
Race: Northern Irish when she was human, Irish 'centaur' after rebirth.
Weight: 550 kg or 86 stone
Body Type: Human half quite lithe, with a good bit of muscle on her arms and stomach from metal work, animal part is around the same size as a mid cart horse
Eyes: Green
Hair: Pale blonde
Scars: Left side mid ribs, stab scar, gained before joining the cult, her arms are speckled with small burn marks from embers
Special Physical Attributes: After her rebirth she mutated and is now non-human, from below the waist she is now a creature resembling a scaled horse, referred to as a centaur for ease.
Clothing: An Azure halter neck with no back and a triangular window on the front, her cloak is mantled with coat tails and turquoise lining.
Physical Description Paragraph: Amaya is fairly pale overall, fair skinned and blonde haired her human half has it's brightest colours in the jade of her eyes and the blue of her horns and antennae upon which sits her flames, her horse half however has mother of pearl scales and silver tufts of fur giving it a soft but near metallic look.
Family: A human family she is to afraid to confront with her new abilities and form, Aren (by adoption) Baal Ira, (Via marriage, not yet introduced)
Quirks: She collects fabrics, crystals and other assorted shiny things, if she is in a particularly crowded area she will shrink by about two foot to make sure she doesn't kick anyone, and turn into something warm and fluffy if you're upset.
She has 'health' chests stashed all around the cults territory, filled with things like bandages, salves, painkillers, water and ration bars, occasionlly she will stash cool things to collect later and she doesn’t mind to much if they've been raided.
Goals: She wants her clothes and designs to be known and worn worldwide.
Interests: Stargazing, bird and insect watching, she can often be found in her home crafting or outside on the lake swimming.
Habits: Joint cracking, she embroiders or carves when she's stressed, she used to bite her nails but a few to many encounters with the taste of paint and dye put a stop to that.
Vices: Cute things, sweets, pretty fabrics and hugs.
What Does Your Room Look Like: Amayas' room in the catacombs is rather dusty and sparse, containing only a portal which leads to her home in the woods at the very edge of the cults territory. The room itself she rarely uses, only when she needs something from the manor or town does she use it.
In her home itself - Though her essentials are always packed neatly way it tends to look like something exploded due to multiple projects going at once, occasionally something will actually explode, but the rest of the house is kept entirely orderly and clean.
Personality: A polite and patient demeanour cultivated from working with indecisive and rude customers, she can be subtly cruel or straight up nasty if you make her mad (Something that is rather difficult), with no qualms about punching someone out if she deems it necessary.
Her concern for people she knows can sometimes be smothering, but telling her you need space will at least make her worry from slightly farther away and she will have a good word or quite place for you if you need it.
Likes: Any animals particularly moths, apple pie, flying, thunderstorms, clear nights and swimming. Her absolute passion however is fashion and art.
Dislikes: Loud or crowded places, people touching her projects before they're finished, people grabbing her tail, littering, people destroying the clothes she makes, though she doesn’t hate it she's not to fond of science but has a good understanding regardless, she needs it to work her powers.
Preferred Food source: She maintains an omnivorous diet but prefers meat and fruit most of all, tends to take charge in disaster situations.
Group Dynamics: She likes hanging out with friends but lives alone in the country, she can be a bit of a mom friend.
Friends: Foxraptor, Spider (Aren), Morphodoe, Bonebon, Zagan, Balam, (not yet introduced) and Tea.
Allies: Her friends, contacts in the fashion industry.
Enemies: The people who attacked her, The cults enemies, Eris.
Rivals: Stairs.
What Do You Consider Your Position In The Cult: General worker, tailor, smith.
What Do You Do For The Group: Fix and make clothing, jewellery and weapons/armour. (merchant, craft)
How You Joined The Cult: After being attacked for her telekinesis Amaya was bleeding out in an ally, she passed out waking up transformed in the cult.
Her gratitude for saving her life eventually outweighed her rage at being changed without consent and she followed the cult from then on.
*Withers are the shoulders of a horse
Kudos to Spider for suggestions on the cloak, (Coat tails, backless, keeping triangles as a theme)
So hey people, I've been lurking for about a week and decided to join in, this is my first experience with any kind of role playing so I welcome tips, Amaya here is also probably going to be edited a bit as I tweak details, but what d'you think so far?
