Fortunately, Ticobell could still see Cirrus, and so he got up to follow the cloud being. He only hoped that there weren't any bandits along the way. That could throw a serious monkey wrench in the pair's plans to explore. Just then, the rattle of carts and the thumping beat of hooves fell upon his ears. A caravan? Where was it coming from?
"Hey, Cirrus, do you hear that?"

Cirrus paused, listening out for what the necromancer had metioned. Quickly pinpointing the sound of the horses' hooves, they spun in midair to where they could hear the carts rapidly approaching.
"Yes, I do. We have about thirty seconds before they're on us." They looked expectantly over their shoulder at Ticobell. "Do you have a plan? I'm not good at combat."

Ticobell would have to make a wager on this, for neither of them were very good at combat, and he could only rely on the creature in his arm for so long.
"Not exactly a watertight plan, but I say we wait and see what happens. If they're friendly, we'll be able to take advantage of that. If not, then we'll just have to make a run for it."
The necromancer hated putting his friend's existence in danger, especially without knowing the certain magical effects of this new realm, but he just had to know how this place worked.

Cirrus landed on the ground, suspecting that these were probably humans and humans were almost always not used to people who hover in mid-air. The cards were nearly upon them, going at full speed and showing no sign of slowing. Just as Cirrus wondered if they planned to run the two of them over, the horses were pulled to an abrupt halt.
((Are you okay with me writing what the people are like, or do you have plans for them?))

((Okie, i'll just carry on from my last post.))
Cirrus quickly noticed the man driving the front cart -a tall, lanky man with some sort of curved dagger attached to his belt- and waved energetically, hoping to make a good first impression. Several more people climbed out of the train of carts, all of them armed, and stared at the two friends.

Unsure of what to say, Ticobell cleared his throat and prepared for a nervous greeting. "Uh, hello there. My friend and I are travelers, but we're kinda lost."
Of course, all this was said while his eyes were nearly screwed shut, only opening them to peep at who he was talking to. That sword didn't look to friendly either, but the redhead could not detect much if any malice at all. Or maybe the strange magic of this place was messing with his senses.

The man walked up to just in from of Cirrus and Ticobell, eyeing them closely and seeming a little on edge but not aggressive.
"How did you end up out here? Don't you know how far you are from... anywhere? And with no supply carts?"
Cirrus opened their mouth to talk but no convincing explanation sprung to mind. They glanced at Ticobell, wondering if he could come up with anything.

Ticobell caught the look Cirrus gave him and simply shrugged. He was just as, if not more clueless than the cloud-being and answered with the only thing that made any kind of sense.
"Magic?"
He sincerely hoped they would believe him, because if they didn't, then they were at a loss.

Cirrus smiled, assuming that Ticobell had a plan. "Yup! Magic."
The man raised an eyebrow. He could see that the pair were not quite normal, and this explanation confirmed it, but they didn't seem aggressive. He stared at them for a second before sighing. "I suppose you want a ride?"

Ticobell stiffened, and then sighed. He landed over and whispered to Cirrus "Welp, they probably think we're both complete nutcases. Let's just hope they don't have some kind of looney bin."
Turning to face the strange man and his caravan, he finally answered them "Yes. We do need a ride somewhere. As for how long we're going with you, the first city e come to should be fine."

((I don't know what type of name to use so I'm gonna use one stolen from a canon character. ^-^'))
The man began to stick out a hand to shake, but that required him to put away his sword so he reconsidered and drew it back. "The name's Otto." He turned around towards the cart and walked back, his guard not quite let down.
"I think we can trust him." Cirrus announced decisively. They followed Otto a few paces behind, motioning animatedly for Ticobell to follow too.
