Roleplay with Star Ranger LOCATED AT: The dense forest outside of the town boundaries. It's closer to the town than to the mansion. Forest turns into swampland quickly. -- A day as normal as any other. Sun was out, crossing the skyline as it did every day. Intermittent clouds scattered the otherwise blue hued sky. And just as normal as the rest, a small light-green crocodile took his normal back-alley routes to the nearby forest, where there was a small amount of foliage of a deciduous forest, before a great swampland began its roots. The small reptile often came here, to remember what could have been. To think about what could still have been there, had humans never touched the lands he used to call home. He moved to a rock, on the inner edge of the forest, to sit upon it. Cold blue eyes stared to the swamp's beginnings, half closed, and thinking about his life. It was a melancholy moment, where the area around him became fuzzy, and he sat alone. That is, until the snapping of a branch brought him out of his nostalgic trance.

Star turned his attention to the branch underfoot, giving a quizzical look before continuing his short strides towards the swamp area- is that a crocodile in a hoodie. Being a demon means he'd seen tons of weird creatures but this was certainly a first. Stars expression changed from concern to confusion, carefully making his way over to him- them? its a crocodile.
"Erm- hello..?"

The crocodile stared for a bit, his bright eyes' pupils contracting a bit, to small slits. Quickly, he scrambled and fell off the rock, landing in the dead foliage with a crumple and a thud. And a few sharp naks. He was terrified. Who was this kid? Were they there to kill him? Hunt him down for his hide...A scary idea. And on top of that, the Candledile didn't even have his whiteboard with him.

Star winced the slightest amount when he fell, making little effort to go help him up before settling on staying where he was "uh..." So he scared the croc with the sweater enough that he was naking, always a good sign. he raised his hands in front of him, trying to show he had nothing in his hands before inching closer "hey- are you... ok there?"

The croc was currently trying to hide himself under leaves, quickly piling them on. Many fell off, but he kept trying. He had to move quickly. He knew that being seen by a normal civilian was scary, and he didn't notice that this kid was definitely not human.

star blinked, not sure what to make of this shameful attempt at hiding. He squatted down beside the foliage the crocodile decided to fall into, clicking his tongue to get his attention. "You're a crocodile so I doubt you can speak English. Can you write? or are you just a normal crocodile with a hoodie on for some reason?"

Anastacio sighed, and decided to stand up. If he was going to die, it was too late to run now. He nodded at the person, but seemed to shrug, as he didn't have anything to write with on him. It was quite a bit of a dilemma for the croc. On top of that, he didn't know any sign language. Multiple languages are difficult to learn in 6 years! Especially as an outcast, and only learning from other beasts and few actual humans.

He squinted at the tiny being, shrugging off his backpack in a smooth motion before placing it in front of him and searching through it, pulling out a worn book, pages falling out of it like nobody's business. "here" he handed the book over to him, before searching through the backpack once more "i normally bring a pencils too, just gimmie a sec-"

The crocodile's eyes seemed to sparkle at the sudden book, and he immediately started flipping through it. He didn't know what he would find, but he was curious. It wasn't often that he was just handed reading material. More often than not, people thought he was inadequate for reading. Which was stupid. But whatever.

Most of the books contents consisted of scribbled notes, lists, or names of materials. It was Star's notebook after all, and his handwriting was never very neat. "ah- here we go." he pulled out a couple pens, red, blue, purple, and a black one. Handing them over to the small reptile. "Use whichever- or all of them, i dont really care."

HOLY FUCK. PENS. The little croc was excited as heck, and quickly grabbed the pens to test them out. While he didn't make scribbles with the pens, he wrote with them, alternating colors sometimes to test the next pen. He seemed to be at the notebook for a bit of time. Eventually, he picked up the book and showed it to the person, lengthways. A few pages flopped out unceremoniously.

Star sat cross legged, watching his scribble. slowly picking up the pages that dropped everywhere, he really needed to sew together a new book- and then there was more pages everywhere, incredible. "oh- candledile huh? pretty nifty, candle in the name too- are you? part of the candle cult then?" his gaze traveled over the drawing- "I fucking love it. thats me and its beautiful."

The crocodile smiled, and nodded. He flipped over to the back of this page. [Yes, actually! Does that mean you are too?] He quickly showed the small line of words. It seemed that he was almost hiding behind the book.

He nodded quickly, before remembering that he- in fact could talk. "Yes, im part of it- not a very active member but a member. couldnt tell by the horns and fire?" he gently tapped the flame encased in glass around his neck, making it spark up a bit more.

The crocodile turned his gaze to the flame, eyes widening slightly. He hadn't noticed the necklace, and smiled now that he knew. With that, he huffed out a puff of smoke from his nostrils, which had previously just been lightly letting out smoke. Then, he opened his maw. The flame that acted as his tongue swirled around a bit, before flaring up a bit towards the sky. He quickly closed, being self conscious about it.
