Mordant stared at the small cultist and slowly shook his head.
"Iss ok. I swallow him if heeavy. I give him back when saafe." Mordant explained vaguely. He looked worriedly at Enfer and helped press gingerly on his wounds. "I will keep saafe."
He turned back to the small creature and put a hand over his chest.
"Moordant. Yoou?"

"Swallow?"
It was obvious by the expression on her face that the angel found this odd, but she didn't have room to comment at the moment with the ever flickering flame of the injuried cultist inbetween them. She continued trying to stop the bleeding until she heard him introduce himself.
"Call me Eve," she replied with a small smile.

Enfer let out a dull groan, the flame on his tail growing a little brighter as he forced his eyes open just a crack to see the figures of other cult members surrounding him. Did he faint? Wait a minute...they're going to see his brand!!!

Mordant was elated when Enfer opened his eyes.
"Friend iss noot deaad! Iss good news!"
He was surprised when Enfer swatted his hands away weakly to cover his exposed skin. Mordant was a little hurt and confused, but these were strange times. Who said his friends weren't gong to get a little strange? Mordant leaned his face over Enfer's.
"Iss ok? We moove you to saafe place. We find moore friends to fix yoou." Mordant said as Enfer stared wildly around to get his bearings. Mordant noticed this and grew anxious.
"Iss saafe for now. We keep yoou saafe."

Eve flinched, a panicked shout ringing through her ears, too fast for her to coherently read. It had most definitely to come from the half-way conscious member, who was currently attempting to hide himself, which she found confusing. It also hindered her efforts to bandaging him, and that was already hard enough as it was. "Hi, uh, it's great that you're awake! And I kinda need to clean that, so could you maybe move your hand a bit...?"

Mordant gently touched Eve's hand a shook his head. If he said not to, Mordant would listen. Rules are rules. He lifted Enfer gently and walked down the hall, always cautious of what he smelled, saw, and felt in front of him. There were no energies stirring... at least not yet. They could make it to another part of the catacombs.
"I noot sure where heelp iss... but we go into room. Find tools. Heelp fix. Heelp fight." Mordant said with a serious tone. "We huurt who huurt uss."

Eve paused, shooting Moordant an annoyed look when he pushed her hand away. Loyalty was weird in that way, especially in this cult, and it looked like she would have to deal with it if she didn't want to get into a fight at the moment. The wounded party member was definitely hiding something, and her stomach twisted and unconsciously her light dimmed the first idea that popped into her head. "What did you do that banged up?"

Normally She Wouldn't Ask About These Things,But It Was Evident That He Was Trying To Hide Something.

Enfer gulped, shifting his eyes to the ground as he knew he couldn't hide it anymore as he moved his hand, showing the brand that was put on him. "I...I got in a fight with a Puppeteer and I lost...he captured me, and put this brand over my heart," Enfer said in a quiet tone, scared to see how everyone would react.

Eve's light was practically nonexistent as she stepped back, eyes wide with fear. "You're one of their Beasts now?"
The accusation was out before she could stop herself, and her fists clenched, ready to protect herself from a Puppeteer's beast.

Mordant went completely still and silent. Suddenly his maw tore open and a roar of complete rage shook the walls.
"HOW DAARE THEY! I WILL REEND THEIR FLESH! I WILL CRUUNCH THEIR BONES! THEY WILL KNOOW PAAIN!"
His maw reacted to his anger and his teeth stretched and clacked together restless for revenge. When Enfer grunted in pain at the movement, Mordant quickly folded his maw closed, his face at once apologetic.
"Wee will get them baack." Mordant assured. He walked into a room and saw some clean linen and a stray bed. He lowered Enfer there and stepped back to let the others tend to him. Mordant sat in a corner wroth with rage. He would not let them continue to make a mess in his new home. He would consume them all and unmake them in the void of his stomach.
