((This is a Continuation of my story Useless))
Enfer laid on the ground, his breathing heavy and ragged as the Puppeteer grew bored of him and left him to bleed out. He heard the sound of panicked footsteps approaching him as he opened his eyes a crack to see a familiar face staring at him in terror. It was Echo.
He wanted to reassure her that he was okay, but he he was silenced as another one of those puppeteer bastards came and grabbed Echo from behind.
Enfer tried to lift himself, only to collapse as he heard Echo cry out his name. He forced himself to his feet and latched onto the Puppeteers hand causing them to release Echo and cry out in pain and back hand him as he glared at the hybrid.
Enfer looked to Echo with a look that told her to run as he coughed up more black blood when he was injuries even further.

"Enfer! Don't stay and fight! We have to leave!" Echo grabbed his hand and ran with the weak hybrid. She went through mazes of hallways trying to escape.

Enfer could hardly run, especially with all the blood he was losing as Echo grabbed his had and ran away from the puppeteers as fast as she could, the hybrid following close behind. His vision began to clear as he let go of Echo's hand, dropping down to all fours to run faser as the two found a place where they could hide and rest.

"I...I think there's a room up ahead on the left. I don't know if it leads out." Echo huffed, working her lungs and legs as she ran faster.

Enfer nodded, turning left like she had said and saw a room up ahead. He stood again, grabbing Echo's wrist as he pulled her into the room as fast as he could and leaned against a wall, panting heavily as he put a had over a wound gushing blood onto the ground. His legs trembled before his knees gave out completely and he feel to his hands and knees, trying to catch his breath.
"I-It...It hurts...I, I don't think I...I..." Enfer passed out then and there, a pool of blood spilling out beneath him as his eyes changed from green and violet to red and black. "Echo, both Enfer and I are injured badly...we need to hurry and get out now before both of us meet our end," Dante said sadly, he really cared for the hybrid, it's just that he refused to show it around others.

"Thank you, Enfer is sleeping right now, trying to get as much energy back as possible so I'll be in control for awhile, but I don't think healing these wounds will be that easy. That Puppeteer was using some strange weapon," Dante said, slowly getting to his feet as he put a hand on the wall and tried to control his breathing.

Dante clinched his teeth as he felt the worst wound on his stomach begin to heal, but others still stayed, taking longer to heal. Dante looked at Echo whenshe was done with a kind smile and said,"thanks Echo, hopefully Enfer will regain consciousness soon."

Echo returned the smile. "Yeah. Maybe we can stay here for a while." She rested her back against the wall, letting out a breath and holding her arm.

"Is something wrong with your arm?" Dante asked, tilting his head to the side when he saw her hold her arm.

"Hm? Oh, it's nothing. That Puppeteer had a set of claws, but it's fine. Just some small scrapes. It'll heal soon." Echo looked at her arm.

"Trust me." Echo rested her head on Dante's shoulder, willing the Puppeteers to keep going past their hiding spot. "They're gone, but we need to rest."

"Echo...Enfer almost got branded, half of it is near his heart, but I can still tell he's in pain," Dante said, putting a hand over where the burn mark was.
