Echo crawled over to Dante and laid her head in his lap. "A child? Maybe he wanted a kid. I mean, he was probably lonely. But he had no one to love, and you usually start a family with the person you love." Echo closed her eyes.

"You can be really...sappy sometimes," Dante said, with a shaky laugh as he could feel tears stream down his cheeks as he laughed sorrowfully, putting his own hand over Echo's. It's been years since he's ever shed a single tear in front of someone.
