Nodding Amaya swished away all the other fabrics, leaving the deep cobalt jersey and wide ice ribbon behind. "How's your back? Alright to take measurements?"

"It's fine now, I can feel it finally stopped bleeding for once. So yes, I think we can take measurements now." he replied while once more checking if his back was really clean.

"Excellent, if you'll hold your arms out to the sides I can start, you can dump that calico anywhere." measuring tapes and pins spin around Aren, taking measurements of every portion of his body, collecting them away she lay them out on the desk and rolled out the fabric, rapidly forming the pattern in white chalk on the dark cloth, pattern masters L-square and erasers flitting about her head.

Aren walked over to where Amaya was busy with the patterns and he watched whatever was happening before him. He was rather interested in what she was doing but had no idea exactly how it all would work. He deduced it would be best to simply ask her."Would it be a rude question to ask what exactly you're doing right now? You are occupied with making a pattern, I presume, could I maybe learn more about it?"

Nodding distractedly Amaya swished her equipment out in front of her in a straight line, low enough for Aren to see without having to stretch. "The first piece of equipment in an L-square ruler, this is the first piece you'll use when making a pattern because it helps create the block straight, you don't use a normal ruler because the lines can be wonky without realising it," flaring blue along the angle and down the sides she continued "to make sure it's straight we line up our first line to the line of the right-angle corner and make another line at least 10cm." Spinning the equipment to the next piece, a clear odd shape she continued, "this is a pattern master, its used for curves and measuring angles, the others are a pattern notcher, pattern drill and clikers awl, they're used to make notches and holes in patterns and pierce hard materials respectively, notches and holes help you see where darts tucks and pleats go depending on the design." Raising the equipment up to make room for the fabric Amaya swept it down in a blue glow showing an already started pattern, the block neckline and part of the bust already formed. "I doubt any human could make up a garment as fast as I could, simply for the fact they only have two hands where as I can hold as much as needed but none the less, every line in the pattern in important because it helps ensure the dress is the same if it's being made enmasse, this dress wont be so recording the steps isn't as necessary as it normally would be and means it isn't as technical so there is only the outline instead of the inner details as well."

It was a safe choice to step aside nw and then since the centaur seemed to be quite enraptured in her work. Luckily Aren was small of stature so jumping out of the way was easy to do. He tried to mentally note down as much as possible but the effectiveness of that soon decreased and he took out his notepad again.

Within thirty minutes the pattern was finished and cut out, ready to be sewn up into the dress itself, turning to Aren once more to test it's fit she blinked at seeing him standing a full foot from where he'd started, realising that she'd, once again, gotten to engrossed in her work she apologized. "My apologies, normally I'm alone in my workrooms, however I do need to test the fit of this dress so if you stay still ill start pinning."

"It's fine really, I find it quite fascinating how passionately you work" Aren replied while raising his arms in a proper position for fitting.

A soft huff of laughter escaped Amaya's nose as a small smile graced her face, really if only all her customers were so pleasant her stress would be non existent. Gently pulling the fabric around the others much smaller form she began pinning and tugging, marking placements for the beads and highlights. Tugging the garment back over Arens' head she ran the garment through her machines and adding the binding and cutting a length of ribbon to go around the waist, finally adding the beads to the neckline, the small rounded shards sitting flat against the fabric and adding just a little glitz. She presented it with a flourish, "what do you think?"

Aren was staring at the dress, amazed at the master craftsmanship that brought it into being. It took a while before he finally regained composure, and replied. "I haven't quite seen dresses like this one, how long have you even been doing this? There aren't a lot of people who make dresses with as much finesse as you do."

Folding her arm across her chest and bringing her hand up to her chin Amaya hummed, considering "How long? Well I was 17 when I started training so around five years I suppose, though its been just barley three years of professional work, goodness it seems like it's been so much longer, why I could barely imagine my life without the cult!" Having noted the positive response to the dress she swept a dress cover and paper bag from the top shelf, packaging the dress neatly. "The tapestry will take a tad longer," she continued, looking out at the sun already growing low in the sky, not quite sunset yet "You'd thought the tapestry was a bit large hadn't you? What size would you rather it in?"

Aren nodded and hummed an understanding note in response to the answer. "The size of the tapestry doesn't actually bother me. I already have a few gargantuan tapestries suspended to the wall to substitute for a curtain, and those drape partly over the floor, to create more shadow in the room without taking the light. So if I had to give you a size, it would be exactly the same as the ones here." He replied to the latter question, accompanied by a lot of hand gestures to accentuate his idea.

Swishing the order book away now that the order was down Amaya smiled at the other,a gleam of curiosity I'm her eyes. "I'll admit to being rather curious about your home, it sounds like a trove of treasures." Simultaneously pulling up two couches amaya lay down on one, leaving the other for Aren.

Araneus took a seat on the other couch and thought a bit about how he was going to phrase that his room was a rather big mess. "Well, I suppose some people would see it as room filled with small treasures, but honestly, it's more of a glorified garbage dump." he shifted his position a bit and continued. "It has one closet, a pile of pillows and those banners. But really, it doesn't contain a lot of worth. Just the possessions of other beings that are looking for them."

Amaya shrugged, "Perhaps it's an art thing but I adore going through old things and making them new, vintage is always stylish after all."
