((the forest, amayas house))
The setting sun peered over the trees, the last of it's gaze brushed the world in gold and orange, casting long shadows along the ground, a harmonious counterpoint of darkness to the brightly burnished world, the sky reflected in the still lake, pinks purples and amber turning the water to a perfectly flipped sky. A bizzare house stood apron a lakeside cliff, sandstone walls gleaming alongside shining windows, flickers of light flaring from one window. Amaya grinned as she moved the fabric through the sewing machine, seeing the material coming together was always a thrill. Flipping the fabric right side out to check the drape she smiled, the base of the dress had come together and it was time to strata embroidery. Grasping her sewing box and one of the material bags from they're shelves she pulled them in her mental hold to hover around her, frowning at the odd weight to the material box. Pulling it faster she throws the lid open, horror blooming across her face at the empty bag, the hole in the bottom telling as to how it had been emptied. Dropping the box she started tearing up the room, the gold thread and small gemstone beads had been expensive and she did not have time to order more before this commission was supposed to be filled.

Araneus had settled himself on the roof of a lakeside house, basking in the warm evening sunlight that the day had brought. Today would have been a beautiful day to have been productive, but Aren decided that that might had to be postponed until tomorrow. He had filled his day mostly with sleeping and scavenging the occasional trinket here and there, and he was now admiring all the pretty bottlecaps and the almost as appealing beads and threads he had collected.
His comfortable silence however, was rudely interrupted by loud noises coming from the inside of the house, and he worried that someone may not be very appreciative of him lounging on their roof. Curiosity did begin to grow in him, and he decided that merely peering inside wouldn't hurt. He de-attached his head and lowered it in front of the window to see a rather stressed centaur seemingly looking for something.
Now completely filled with curiosity, he reeled in his head and decided to enter the house to try and find out what the worried centaur was missing. He fit himself between the walls and listened.

"Maybe I can use tanzanite beads instead? Oh but I don't have any and they ordered jade especially, I don't have anymore of that thread either, and glitterati always takes so long to custom make the colours anyway!" Amaya muttered, head and shoulders buried into a particularly large cupboard, random objects being flung out in speeding bubbles of telekinetic power.

Aren made some mental notes concerning the situation and checked his findings. Indeed, he had exactly the beads and thread the poor lady was mumbling about. He checked on more time through the wall if she still was busy searching in the cupboard and proceeded to slither his way to the wall on the opposite side of the room where he found another hole to peek through.
On one hand, he didn't really want to part with the thread and beads, he kind of liked how he looked. But in the end he wouldn't really needing them, bottlecaps however, were much more important. He checked one more time if she wasn't looking and extended his hand to hover next to the sewing machine and he softly dropped the threads and beads down on the workspace.
He made his way to another part in the wall where he could get out fast just in case his presence would be still not be very appreciated. You could never be too careful.

Digging for another few moments Amaya draws her head back out with a frustrated huff, giving the cupboard up as a dead end. Spinning to scan the room in search of somewhere she hadn't looked her eyes caught the glint of the beads by the sewing machine, zooming over so fast she bordered on teleportation she grabbed them and the thread up shocked as she finished counting to find not a single one missing, and a quick check revealed the same of the thread. Amazed she glanced around to see who had returned them, it was asking for disaster to leave something like beads on a sewing table after all. Seeing no one an idea passed over her mind and she hurried to her kitchen, returning with a small bag of honey sweets she wrote a quick 'thank you!' on the bag and placed them in the same spot the beads had been returned to with a small smile. Pointedly turning to face the other direction she returned to her embroidery.

Araneus sat in the wall listening for a while for the activity in the room to seize. It turned out he had to wait until it was long dark and when he was finally sure that there was nobody in the room anymore, he crawled out of the wall and admired the embroidery on the dress. It's always fun to see what other people use trinkets for.
It didn't take long before he noticed a new object next to the sewing machine that had a sweet smell to it and a note attached. He eyed the present rather suspiciously, suspecting it might be a trap. But then again, he also had rather trouble with not taking whatever was left. His curiosity turned out to be far more prevalent and he read the note and was most certainly pleasantly surprised. He wasn't quite sure if the treats were meant for him or a house spirit he overlooked, but tough luck house spirit, he was hungry and he would never leave sweets lying around.
He checked his surroundings one more time, feeling the tip of his hood tugging at his cape signalling that it was time to go. He made his way through the walls again and made the decision to come back tomorrow.

Sighing in relief as she shut the door Amaya wiped her hooves off on the matt, glad to be home after sending the dress off and spending all night cleaning the mess she'd made searching for the lost materials. Humming and considering her current orders Amaya smiles as she decides she can take the day off, grabbing a book and her tablet from her room she heads outside, leaping lightly down the slopes she settled along her cushioned bench, cracking the book open to the marked page.

Araneus eyed the centaur from a distance, considering if he should either say hello or leave to scavenge for collectables somewhere else. He could leave a bottlecap behind in the sewing room, or muster up courage to actually say hello, and he had a hard time deciding what would be the wiser thing. He hopped into a nearby shadow and moved to Amaya's shadow through it. He still wasn't quite sure what to do and decided to hang around in the shadow for a while longer so he could make up his mind.

Twitching as she felt the presence of another mind Amaya brushes against it quickly and lightly enough that it would go unnoticed, gleaning that whoever it was held no ill intent she decided to let them be, people came past the beach quite often and occasionally stopped by, and folded her book closed, picked up her tablet instead to start in on a new design

Araneus, still moping in the shadows, wasn't sure what to do. The hood was getting pretty tired with his antics and decided that he was going to sling the nerd right into action. It extended the tip and lightly tapped Amaya's shoulder, and was promptly pulled back by a rather flustered Araneus, who didn't actually see the hood undertaking it's own action.

Whipping her head around, Amaya shot up from her seat and blinked, startled at the site of a cultists flame peeking out of the wall. "Um," she began, eloquence vanished in surprise "Hello?"

Now very stressed, Araneus cursed as he scrambled to make a run for it but ended up tumbling entirely of the shadows and dropped down in front of the feet of a very confused centaur. All he could do is stare at Amaya rather dazed for a moment and then proceeded to try and attempt a second escape, which only ended in him falling down the slope.

Growing increasingly alarmed and concerned about the others health Amaya trotted quickly down to the beach on steps of glowing mental energy, moving so all her actions were as non threatening as possible she reached a hand out to offer assistance. "Are you alright?" she asked, brow still furrowed with bewildered concern.

Aren's fall down the slope had stretched him out somewhat and he promptly and clumsily pulled himself back together, still rather befuddled by the fall. He rubbed his head for a bit, and took the extended hand to help himself up.
"I think I'm alright, I just got tangled up there for a bit", he replied. "Would it be rude to ask who my companion just rudely interrupted?" he asked while looking at Amaya.

"Not at all" she replied, not even blinking at the sight of someone literally pulling themselves together, clearly her time in the cult had skewed her measures of odd "I'm Amaya, you and you're companion?" she continued, brushing the area lightly, surprised to find the hood had a measure of sentience.
