"Would you just shut up about your stupid homilies? I don't care!" Eve shouted with annoyance, storming down the hall of the catacombs to get away from him. "I don't need to 'find myself again'! I'm perfectly fine, you wacko!"

"You're behaving like a moody teenager, and a rude one at that." The Reverend pointed out, sharply, accompanied by a disdainful click of tongue-against-fangs. Already bad enough that Eve looks like half a child, and now she insists on acting like such, too! A supposed messenger of the Lord should carry themselves with grace and dignity, in his opinion. Even a 'retired' one.
But when the fallen one stormed off he didn't have much of a choice other than following her; and so he did just that, albeit with a bit of distance. Thus he had to raise his voice in the end, tone just that tad softer than before: "Don't run off now ― You know that I can't find the way back on my own!" Really, he meant it, and he definitely didn't feel like getting lost in the tunnels again.

"Oh no, what a shocker," Eve mocked, turning on her feet and walking backwards to face him. "I mean, who would've thought? Me, a fourteen year old would ever show such traits! It really is an anomaly, very odd, we should work into it as soon as I start to care. Alas, I need to check the time to see when that starts..."
She studied her bare wrist as if there were a watch. "Oh look, it turns out never! Too bad, that probably would've been useful for this conversation. Well, no regrets now, huh?"
The angel rolled her eyes at the second comment, not hiding her disdain at all from him. "You know you'd probably be able to figure out where these catacombs go if you spent half the time preaching to actually figure it out. Use that head of yours, if there's anything in there besides your stupid philosophies, and you might learn a thing or two! Just saying!"

The movement was quick as he pushed the fallen against the grimy wall, cold composure having cracked from one second to the next. It had been less the quite rude words that struck a nerve, but rather the girl's whole attitude and way of talking which made Rev's merely skin-deep control slip. That much granted, he wasn't good with teens. Or kids. Or people.
So clawed fingers were quick to clasp tightly around Eve's throat, the demon having to bend down by a good bit in order to match her height. "Watch your mouth, kid!" He straight-out hissed, a forked tongue slipping past jagged fangs; "I will not tolerate such impudence, no matter who nor what you claim to be ― Show some respect towards a prophet, understood?" The priest added, voice not raised but still just as razor-sharp as the yellow eyes that rested on her. The 'or else' he may not have spoken out loud, but it was very much audible in the way he flexed his talons around Eve's neck. The demon surely wouldn't let her down before he got an answer, even if it's just a nod, and so he firmly kept her pinned in place between the cold wall and his outstretched arm.

Eve's snarky front immediately gave away when she was slammed back into the wall, her breath knocked out of her. The piercing nails in her neck wasn't deep enough to break skin, but enough for her to realize that struggling, while it may not kill her, would result quite badly for her. She pressed her back against the wall in a hopeless attempt to get at least an inch of space between her neck as his hand. Once she realized that she couldn't do much of anything, she glared at him, ready to snap at any demands he had to make.
She wasn't really prepared to have him question her claim of being a guardian angel. It hit a particular nerve with her, but not one she was about to admit. The fallen angel swallowed and gave a quick nod, waiting for him to let go.

The ‘good kid’ Rev didn’t exactly speak, but it surely was implied with the satisfied grin that spread over his lips the second Eve complied. Good. He didn't much feel like having to carve an ounce or two of respect out of her, not to say that he wouldn't. Though as promised the demon let go of her throat again, calm as if nothing at all had happened, not even bothering to wait for Eve to regain her footing. So immediately he brought a few steps of distance between them, turning to head for the direction she had chosen earlier.
“Now chop-chop, off we go! I, you see, am practically blind down here.” The priest eventually called back with a dismissive wave of one hand, already dreading the fact that he needs an escort in the twisting and turning bowels of these tunnels ― A colour-coded system for orientation might sound nice and dandy, until the point where a grouchy colourblind person stumbles across it. “I need to get to the sixth, if you would please."
