Tea needed a drink. STAT. He needed one STAT, and his cupboard was barren. That couldn't be possible. It simply couldn't be. It was never empty.
But it had also been a month since he'd even looked at it. More than a month really. Anyone could have used it and no one would have stocked it either. But he didn't know anyone else who would consume that much tea in a month. And it was a lot of tea to have just gone missing.
Moving fretfully around the kitchen, he quietly begged for any brand of anything leafy to pop up. He'd just calmed down enough and he'd only recently gotten brave enough to leave his room. If he didn't get some tea in himself soon, he'd be on thin ice with his nerves.
He left the kitchen thinking maybe, just maybe, he would have some tea hiding somewhere in his room.

It had been another unfruitful day for Araneus, with only a small haul. Needless to say, he was rather frustrated and was wondering why people were keeping a better eye on their possessions. He decided that more scavenging probably wasn't going to be that interesting and departed the shadows via the nearest exit.
He was rather surprised by the room he found himself seeing as it was even more barren than his own room, with only few items in it. The inhabitant probably only stored valued possessions here so he reckoned it probably wasn't a bright idea to take anything from it.
Aren was just about to exit the room again when his foot hit a stray package of Tea on the ground, and he picked it up, since he could always make himself a drink.

Tea entered his room, eyes cast down at first. He doubted there would be anything, but it was worth a check. He was so damn thirsty he couldn't focus--
Someone was in his room.
He stared at the shorter individual, taken aback by his features. There was something off about this cultist and it made Tea's skin crawl. He didn't know what to address first: the cultist being in his room, the cultist holding a box of his tea, or the fact that he didn't know this cultist at all. Did he? He must be one of the few newer. "Excuse me, can I help you?" Tea shrank at his own voice. The question was so soft it barely registered as an utterance. He started to shiver. Something was wrong and it was more than his fear of being attacked for . . . several good reasons.

The voice shouldn't have startled Aren as much as it did, but he found himself sword pointing at the stranger and nailed to ceiling. He stared down at the new face in the room before steadying his breath and realizing that that was Tea, and that he had probably ended up in his room. Aren really didn't know what to think of Tea, knowing what happened through conversations he overheard, making him both pity the man and cautionous.
"I suppose this is your room? I just happened to be passing by, I swear I mean no harm." He replied. "Are you all right, you seem rather pale."

Pale was how Tea looked nowadays. Pale and on occasion purple thanks to the new blood. But he probably looked paler when he saw the creature shoot upwards in a swift fashion. Like a spider. Tea started shaking, stepping back slowly. That's . . . this was fine. He didn't need a room or bed anyways. He could just go.
"I'm . . . not sure how to answer-r when you're p-pointing a sword," he swallowed hard, unable to finish.

He was pointing the sword for a reason but for the sake of not scaring Tea he stuck it back in his torso whence it came from. "It's gone now, my bad for scaring you that much. I have been rather on edge lately so every action I take is a little more impulsive than usual" he replied. He thought a bit about what he was going to say then smiled at Tea. "I'll just leave you be and again, my excuses for scaring you."

Tea relaxed at the disappearance of the sword, its 'holster' . . . a little unnerving. His skin crawled as his crest fell at the individual's statement. He rubbed at the scarred brand on his neck before uttering, "Yeah. Things . . . were rough. Last I remembered." Rough was putting things carelessly lightly. Still, he pointed a clawed finger at the box of tea in the other's hold and said, "That's . . . that's," he took a deep breath and dropped his hand. Then he squinted. Maybe . . ., "Do you know where my tea is?"
It was worth a shot to ask.

Aren stopped his movement towards the nearest shadow, still stuck on the ceiling and turned to look at Tea again, then at the box of tea he was holding. "Oh, this is yours? I probably should have assumed so since it is your room after all. As for your other tea... Hang on, I'll lower myself, I'm being awfully rude." He replied, and then promptly dropped himself from the ceiling. "I might have come across some other boxes, I do need to retrieve it from where I stored it." Aren promptly dropped the box he was holding in Tea's hand before stepping into his shadow.

Tea held the box tighter than was actually necessary. "O-okay." He watched the other go, wondering if this was who had taken all of his tea. Thinking that felt rude. He still didn't think of this room as his but he supposed he had better if there were people roaming about picking up lost items. If they seemed lost, that is.
He must seem very lost, he thought.

It wasn't long before Aren found where he had stashed his findings and checked the bag he put them in, and as he thought, it contained Tea. "I suppose I should return this, someone is looking for it anyway." He mumbled while stashing about four boxes of tea under a few extra arms. He took a small look where the next exit was located and floated towards it.
It however turned out that it was a ceiling exit and he fell head first to the floor of the room with his feet still stuck to the shadow, leaving him rather stretch and hanging inches from the foor. "What in the fu-fudge, that was rather clumsy of me, that doesn't usually happen." he mumbled with a blush now forming on his face. He swivelled around to face Tea again and held out the boxes of tea.

Tea saw the spider-like individual fall through the ceiling and couldn't very well contain his scream. The box of tea that had been in his hand went flying as he pressed himself flat against the wall and clasped a hand over his mouth to squelch the sound. He squeezed his eyes shut and proceeded to keep his mouth closed so that he was only letting out small muffled whimpers. Spider. He was a spider. He definitely was a spider, and he was falling through the bedroom ceiling. Tea's bedroom ceiling.
This wasn't about to be his bedroom anymore. He was going to have to burn it down. His skin was crawling like he was imagining the creatures the individual inspired moving over him.

The reaction horrified Araneus, and he snapped his body back together . The first thought that came to him was to rush over to Tea, which he promptly obeyed. He did keep some distance as to not scare the other any further. Aren really didn't know what to do with this, he realized as soon as he actually found the power to speak. An range of emotions went through Aren, all of them feeling foreign. On one hand he was confused whether he did something wrong, on the other hand he felt like he shouldn't be attempting to console Tea.
"A-are you okay?! Did I do something wrong, why are you scared of me?" He helped, and couldn't help but slightly tremble himself. He wasn't quite sure if touching Tea right now was the best idea, so he resorted to opening his hands, palms facing forward to show he meant no harm. "I-it's okay, I don't want to hurt or scare you." He adopted a stutter now, which wasn't really helping his case, and he could feel that feeling that he considered as the strangest of all welling up, namely that he was on the verge of crying.

Tea's eyes were jammed shut as he started shaking his head. He covered his mouth, then let out a growl. Then he uttered half shamefully half fearfully, "S-sp-spiders . . . arach-chniph--," he froze, covering his face again. "Sorry. Sorry. I'm sorry."

Araneus didn't need to hear a lot to understand what Tea meant. "A-arachnaphobia, that's what you said right?" Aren thought a bit about how he was going to handle this, now knowing what scared Tea so much.
"I... is there anything I can do? I'm not very familiar with this kind of situation." He looked at the box of tea he was still holding and shaked it in front of Tea's face. "Do you maybe want some tea?"

Tea bit his lip harshly, blood spilling in his mouth. All he could do was nod. He tried to breathe to calm down, but in that moment tea was really his best option.
