Aren understood the gesture and hurried to get the necessary components to make tea. He wasn't exactly sure if he was preparing it right but haste made details irrelevant and avoiding a scalding rather hard as he ran through the shadows to reach the kitchen for hot water. It didn't take long before he had a cup of tea ready and he held it out in front of Tea, arms a bit shaking due to having been burned by water that refused to stay in it's container. "I have no clue if this is what you usually drink but I hope it'll do for now."

Tea took the terribly hot water and, without hesitation, downed every last drop. He scorched his throat and insides, but ultimately he felt fifteen times better. Quality of the tea didnt matter, what mattered was that he'd had tea.
Sighing as a cloud of steam escaped his mouth, he relaxed and let his eyes slide open. Then he felt the other's frantic energy and pain from the burns and said, "You're hurt."

Aren was quite surprised with how Tea drank it all in one go even though the water was still scalding. He first took notice again of his hands who were starting to blister very bad, though it didn't really matter in the end. It did make him remember that a burn is his least favorite type of sensation at that he should do something about that soon. "Yes, it seems so, I-I should probably do something about that." He said in a slight whimper with hands still shaking.

Tea was about to reach out for him, then remembered why he'd burned his hands in the first place. Remorse filled him as he said, "I'm so sorry, that was . . . really rude of me, I um," he thought fast, trying to keep his mind on track and not panic like he had previously, "I have gauze and medicine from when I was injured. I can help if you need."

"It's fine, don't worry about it." Araneus replied with a smile. "I can treat it with medicine and gauze perhaps, but I have my own way of healing. You probably wouldn't like the sight of it so I'd advice you to turn around." Aren thought giving a warning was a good idea, since he probably shouldn't try to freak out Tea any more than he already did. "I do need some bandages though. Do you maybe have those so I can wrap those around my arms when I'm done?"

Tea nodded, moving past him to a dresser and opening one of the drawers. Keeping his back turned, he pulled some bandages from his stash and set them on top of the dresser. Facing away, he murmured, "I still should not have been so rude." Even though he did take your things, he thought to himself. Honestly, he couldn't blame the individual. If someone with his history had disappeared for a month, he'd assume that person wasn't coming back for his things.

Aren checked one more time if Tea wasn't looking and promptly shed the burnt skin off leaving only the goo underneath that was particularly stubborn in keeping shape this time around. He thought a bit about apologizing for trying to take Tea's possessions while shuffling past him to grab the bandages, but he might be treading unsafe ground. On the other hand it could also go well. He finished wrapping up his arms, shoved the shed skin in a bag an turned to face Tea. "You can turn around now." and continued, in a much softer voice than intended "I'm sorry for trying to take what you owned, I didn't realize it was yours."

Tea turned slowly, then nodded. "It's okay." He let out a mirthful noise, then added playfully, "As far as first impressions I probably have not made a good one." He tried for a smile, but glanced away quickly and rubbed the scarred brand on his neck. "Would you like some tea?" He could easily make the other a mug.

Aren chuckled from the jest but couldn't help but notice that Tea was rubbing the brand on his neck, and he thought of his own for a moment. He spaced off for a bit then nodded in reply.
"I probably didn't either with my little accident from earlier so that puts us in the same position. And yes, I think I could use some tea, I'm here already."

Tea nodded again, then gestured for him to follow him out to the kitchen. "Do you have a preferred flavor?" He paused, then doubled back to gather up all the tea that had been returned to him. Carrying the boxes out, he would return them to their cupboard.

"No I don't really have a preferred flavour. As long as you put a lot of sugar in it I'll be content with what I get." he hummed for a bit and checked the amount of boxes Tea was carrying, trying to match them to what he saw and found today. "I can keep an eye out on your lost tea if you want me to. I think I might now where the rest happens to be."

Tea nodded, setting to work on fixing them some pomegranate raspberry. "Thank you. I really appreciate it." He got the kettle going, then pulled down two mugs. He put two spoonfuls of sugar in one and three in the other, telling the spider, "This stuff tastes like liquid candy." As he waited for the whistle, he started organizing his boxes again.

"Liquid candy is exactly the description I want to hear." He said with a grin forming on his face. Aren adopted a hum again and paced around for a bit grabbing a box of tea while doing so. He came to a halt to memorize the smell and looks of it knowing that finding the rest would be so much easier if he made a mental imprint of it in advance. He placed the box back into it's place as soon as he was done and leaned in to see what Tea was doing. "I was wondering why you're so afraid of spiders. Did something happen that made you afraid of them?"

Tea shuddered unintentionally as he stared at the kettle. Claws tapping on the counter, he said, "They always looked kind of . . . creepy. Odd, to me." But he wasn't always ready to jump out of his skin upon seeing them. No, someone else had made that a thing that happened. "I had a beast too. When I took on his traits . . . my masters . . . they used to make fun of how much I looked like a bug. A spider."
It was strange. Strange how easy it was to talk about them now that they were . . . gone. He still didn't feel fully accepting of their absence, still waited to feel their summons at any given moment. But it was no longer a secret they existed. And . . . he felt a little sick again, ashamed he'd so openly bashed them. He remembered he wasn't supposed to do that.

"Puppeteers hm." Aren let out in a mumble. He pulled at Tea's sleeve for a bit and spoke up. "I suppose we're in a way the same, though you might not agree with me. I-" He halted his sentence and considered whether he should proceed or not, and he felt himself shudder too.
