"Hmm, that's too bad I suppose." It was worth asking. "Are you sure of that? It's not as if it can get any worse." He said as he tapped the side of his head. "Or do you might have some tea advice, at this moment I'm just trying anything that might work."

Tea gave Aren a sad smile. "It can always get worse." He thoight for a moment, then added, "I'm still working on mine. But chamomile and sleepytime are really good teas for sleep."

Aren gave a frustrated sigh and muttered "I have my doubts about that but for now I'll take your advice." He mentally noted down what tea flavours Tea mentioned. "Ah well, I suppose there are other ways too."

"There's always not sleeping," he jested. But as far as he could tell, Tea still needed rest to recharge after too much emotional output. Aren probably needed rest. "I'm sorry. If I knew how to use Gemmy's abilities, I would help you. But he hasn't shown me."

Aren smiled at the jest, not wanting to be rude. "It's fine, I don't blame you for not knowing how to use that kind of ability. I actually have some abilities of my own that are still a mystery to me." He said as he tapped against the side of his head.

Tea smirked. Then he observed, "You are spider-like. Does that mean you make . . . I don't know, tar webs? Or ambush traps?" He was proud of himself for not shuddering at the mere thought. "How did you get so good at using shadows?"

"Well, I do form web formations sometimes but no part of me can de-attach. I only use it in combat situations to keep my adversary in one place, most people can't escape that. It works best in smaller spaces." he probably shouldn't give a demonstration, so he continued to the next question.
"As for my usage of shadows, I learned that through trial and error. I had ages to practice so I'm pretty sure I'm skilled at using the shadows." he tapped slightly into a shadow and watched it ripple as if it was water.

Tea was fascinated by the effect the other had on his surroundings. "Remind me not to make you angry," he said. He wanted to ask about the nightmares, but knew very well if asked the same question he would bulk. It was best to leave some things private unless the information was freely offered. He could at least say, "If I manage to learn to manipulate dreams the way Gemmy can, I can try to find you and help you." But he needed Gemmy to cooperate. Gemmy had never fully gone along with anything he'd asked, and their bond was too weak for him to fully force him into submission. Plus Tea couldn't bring himself to be a master so brutal after having been a puppet. "Gemmy was so unpredictable and violent even the Puppeteers were unnerved by him. I have had to keep him locked up for almost as long as I've known him." And he was still confined, in a sense. "If I can offer him something interesting, maybe he'll show me." A quiet snicker resonated in his mind. He was starting to grow more concerned about the demon's muffled noises.

"No worries, I don't get angry often." He smiled at the apparent fascination present in the other, and he appreciated the interest. The other question got him thinking whether he should explain what kind of nightmares plagued him. "I would... very much appreciate that but I don't want it to endanger you, especially if you say he's that violent." he didn't exactly worry about his own mind at the moment, and he felt he probably should. "What exactly is interesting enough to that demon of yours so he will help you?"

Tea shrugged. "I'm not sure. He . . . asks for weird things." Like a sanctuary within Tea's head. "Trust me though," he said a little quieter, "there's nothing he can do that hasn't already been done to me." He gave a weak smile. "I'll see if I can entice him into showing me the ropes."

Aren still wasn't quite sure about the whole ordeal. But in the end he couldn't do anything but trust Tea and he shuddered at Tea's words. "I trust you. Go ahead and make an attempt at it then, but still, please be careful." He wondered what Tea exactly meant by weird things but he decided to ask that later.

Tea nodded. "Maybe it'll help me with mine," he stated. He got tired of avoiding sleep. Tapping his fingers on his box of tea, he asked, "So earlier," he tried to phrase it correctly, "did you sense something . . . concerning I guess?" He wanted to know why they were hiding, if he should be worried.

Aren shuddered at the question, and he didn't really feel like explaining. But then again, leaving people in the dark has never helped him out before. "In the end I'm still someone's property." Only Tapi managed to break through the brand's magic properties, that prevented people from taking his soul more than once. That was when he joined.
"It works two ways, I can be tracked due to my brand but I can also sense when someone is trying to do that. It always feels as if someone's pulling at strings, my strings, pulling me towards them." he let out a heavy sigh and walked over to the closet again, searching for any stray candy that might be there. He absentmindedly continued "The brand on my back starts bleeding too when someone is tracking me."

Tea froze, feeling the discomfort and fear the other felt. Must feel. It was entirely possible it was his own fear for Aren he was feeling. That seemed highly likely.
Swallowing hard, he hated that another was feeling so plainly what Tea felt and had felt intimately. "Is there any way to break the brand?" he asked. Living under someone else's thumb . . . always being property . . . he couldn't stand another feeling as he did. It was too much.
In a way that was selfish of him. But at the same time, he genuinely didn't wish that life on anyone. Even his enemy.

Aren felt as if he had dropped the conversation into a point below zero, and oddly enough he felt fear, even though he shouldn't. "I don't know to be honest. I've tried many times, nothing really works."
He thought he could always try destroying his heart, but he didn't know what would happen if he did that. "I've tried so many awful ways to get rid of it and it just comes back every time."
