Walking through the winding tunnels beneath the cult mansion as the landscape changed from several different conditions. The doors of varying rooms reflecting their inhabitants. Residents weren't what you we're looking for. Uncharted territory was just within reach. What little light there was began to fade and a faint scratching sound becomes audible from the caverns ahead, and the drip of water echoing through the silence. amaya

Amaya sighed as she rubbed the back of her neck, she had decided, quite foolishly, to explore the catacombs alone and had become lost. The dripping and scratching were the only indication of where she was and even then it wasn't very helpful, telling her only that she was far farther below ground level than she had intended to go. Sighing again she turned to head in another random direction when she spotted a faint blue glow out the corner of her eye. Relief at the sight of another cultist swept through her, perhaps they new the way out, she called out to get their attention.

The two small embers of his eyes providing a small beacon as the other approached. He was focused on the task at hand. Not even bothering to move or react he continued his business with the wall, dragging the chalk against its surface. No dice on that spot, he began searching the wall for a dry area running his hand against the wall smearing the water distorted image.

Raising an eyebrow at the others lack of reaction she continued forwards and caught a glimpse of the smudged chalk marks covering the walls, bewildered she flared a light over her hand to get a better look at the walls, the light reflecting off the water momentarily blinding after such a ling time in almost no light. Blinking at the light spots speckling her vision she tapped the other on the shoulder, either they had ignored her -rude- or hadn't heard her.

The cave was lined with symbols and scribbles which seemingly did nothing, empty enchantments. Their hand stopped its motion a good twenty seconds after being tapped reacting as the flame of the visitor caused a flash in their vision. "Hm?" He said finally turning his head in their direction.

"I was originally going to ask for directions out of here if you know them, but now I'm rather curious as to what exactly all of this is for." she replied, gesturing to the scratches and scrawling slowly being rubbed off of the walls.

"...They're so I can see, but they keep being hindered by the humidity in the area. So I found it necessary to make as many as possible." He must have been at this for hours, maybe an entire day. "I was using fuses but they got soaked and were rendered useless."

Amaya hummed in thought, being rendered blind by water must have been incredibly irritating, glancing around she spotted where the water streams were trickling from and closed half of them, leaving a large portion of the wall to dry off steadily. "Has that helped at all?"

He listened to the sound of water fade. "That'll do just fine" he rubbed the tip of the chalk on his jacket and began re writing the runes when the writing on the walls began to glow in a wavering fashion. Lighting up the cave every few seconds, fading out, and then relighting the cave yet again. "Thank you."

"It's no problem," she replied smiling kindly, tilting her head she became curious as a question occurred to her, "if you don't mind me asking, do you need these runes to see all the time?" that seemed incredibly inconvenient.

"Not always, just when the area lacks any magic. I can only see things infused with enchantments or creatures that are supernatural in nature. I used to be unable to see anything, I had to use my instincts to get everywhere. Although this makes things easier I still have to use my other senses to get around the majority of the time." He put the chalk in his pocket. "It gets a bit cumbersome when the towns are really conservative about magic use."

Wander through the tunnels, Enfer sighed. He had nothing of interest to do until his eyes widened when he saw two cult members up ahead. They were two members he had met already,"hey Amaya! Aenrox!" Enfer called, running over to the two

"ah that makes sense, I suppose the arrays take up to much space to be able to transcribe it onto something portable," a concerned frown flickered across her face as she continued, "Odd that anywhere surrounding the cult should be lacking in magic though." the thought was shaken from her head as she heard her name being called, turning she spotted Enfer running towards them and waved back.

"May I ask what's going on?" Enfer approached them, curious to see what happened. He look around at some of the designs on the walls.

"we were just trying to get the walls dried up so the runes would stop washing away," Amaya replied, gesturing towards the unnaturally proportioned section of dry wall, "would you by chance know the way out? It seems we've all ended up far far deeper into the catacombs than is safe, I'm not even sure if this really is the catacombs any more"
