"If you say so." Shadow giggled, turning her attention to the sky. Through the cracks and windows of the over growth above, she could see the night sky in all its glory. "Its strange isn't it." she whispered, "How different the sky of day and the sky of night are... and yet it's still the same sky..."

Alyxrie thought that the night was the best time to be out and about. She couldn't always be up at night, of course, having things that had to be done during the day, but the night was the best time to go flying. She swept above the forest, her scarf wrapped around her head flaming blue hair trailing behind her, peeking out from under the scarf. She noticed a faint blue glow and soared lower, then floated slowly down, quickly making a cloak wrap itself around her and tucked her wings in close to her back. She slowly creeped forward, closer and closer to the glow and saw that they were two figures. Carefully ducking behind trees as she approached, she heard the two introduce themselves. "Shadow and Neve? Candle Cult, I bet," Alyxrie whispered quietly to herself. She knew her hair glowed, but maybe they wouldn't notice it until she wanted to show herself.

Shadow quietly sat up, shaking her cloak from any attached debris. "How bothersome..." she cursed, picking twigs off of her.

"It truly is. When I was young I thought it was magic." Neve smiled, then at last slipped down from their place in the trees, next to Shadow. The tall creature leaned forward with interest. "It remains beautiful either way, in my opinion," they mused in a quiet voice. Hearing a rustle, Neve's head snapped over to the direction it was coming from. A faint glow was seen, but then, many things in the forest glowed. Letting their attention return to Shadow, they "crouched" down, still smiling. "It definitely remains beautiful."

Shadow glanced around trying to find what it was that caught Neve's attention. For a moment she could have sworn she saw something glowing but dismissed it. "Yes it does." she smiled happily as Neve joined her.

Alyxrie felt as if this was a good time to show herself. She carefully slid down the back of the tree and stepped quietly towards the two. Leaning over their heads, her glowing hair framing her face, she said, "I couldn't agree more!" Then, grinning, sat down next to them.

Shadow blinked repeatedly surprised by the,sudden appearance of a new guest. She smiled awkwardly, laughing as she said, "Hello there."

Touching their hand to their chest, the creature nodded. "Inde-!" They jumped when a new voice joined Shadow and them. Their eye flared up and they almost glared at Alyxrie. "Who are you?" Neve demanded, not recognizing the newcomer. The grin denoted friendliness, but sneaking up on people wasn't very nice.

Alyxrie leaned back, the grin melting off of her face. "I don't believe there's any need to be hostile," she said. "Though I do apologize for startling you. I'm Alyxrie, by the way. I assume you're both Candle Cult members?" She sat crosslegged and cocked her head to the side.

Shadow grinned from ear to ear, literally. With gentle eyes she studied Alyxrie. She said, "Yeah we are in fact. Nice to meet."

Not quite trusting just yet, they leaned towards Alyxrie. Shadow's eagerness was slightly off-putting, seeing as this was a stranger.
"Are you of the Cult as well?" Their eyebrows raised.

Alyxrie shrugged. "Last time I checked I was." She smiled at Shadow again. 'She seems to trust me,' she thought, 'but Neve doesn't. Maybe I should have a look around in their head...? No, that'd make things worse.' Her scarf re-wound itself around her neck, and she tiled her head to the side. "What's wrong?" she asked.

Alyxrie fiddled with a corner of her dress with a pair of hands she'd had... handy. "Trust... well, I guess maybe I shouldn't trust people as much as I do. But there's always a way to show that someone's trustworthy, right?" She knew that she probably shouldn't trust people as much as she does, but nothing unspeakably horrible has happened to her because of that...right? She shrugged again.
