The demon is IN!~~~Zeltain grinned at the piece of paper in their hands. What a great idea, making fliers! They had spread them all over town and handed them to anyone who looked like a member of the Cult. That's one way to get business, right?
They sighed and took a step back, taking a look at their handy work. Their brand new shop had only been under renovations for a few weeks, but the demon's presence there had caused grass and vines to begin to sprout around the stones and wood that made the little cottage. They remembered being advised to set up shop in town, and not on the outskirts in the forest. "You won't get good business!" They whined.
"Well I'll show them! They'd be surprised how many friendly folks would pass through a dark mildly creepy forest! Plus, it's easier to find materials in the woods anyways." They chattered to themselves as they hung up a wooden sign on the window as a finishing touch.
It read "Customers will not be dissected, eaten, experimented on or used as ingredients GUARANTEED or your money back!" In pastel painted cursive.
"Perfect!" They exclaimed, flipping the smaller sign on the door to open and shooting a zwing-tips worth of magic from the cottage into town, creating a lovely flower bordered path to guide people to their shop.
Though after a moment of examination Zeltain realized the center of the cute cyan flowers had turned into small screaming heads and caught fire.
Well.... not too bad for a first day???
They floated inside to slip behind the flat counter that ran from wall to wall, separating the rest of the store from the tall wooden shelves behind them. The shelves were lined with bottles and jars filled with syrups and pastes of all different colors. Not to mention the books scattered here and there. Along the counter was a magic-locked chest for trades, and a glass display case built into the fine mahogany. It had several precious artifacts stored inside, a cursed pendant and possessed deer skull were only a couple of them. (There were innocent things too! Like an aging-spell enchanted hair-pin.)
Throughout the rest of the shop were mostly harmless things. Charmed and enchanted bottles and jewelry. Homemade spell candles and incense along with a few bones and flower crafts here and there, and by the door was a shelf filled entirely with prank potions! Those were Zeltain's favorites. Tiny glowing green sparks seemed to be moving through the shop as well, though upon closer inspection some resembled spiders and frogs, others, bats and ferrets. None, however, were bigger than a thumbnail. Zeltain's little helpers of course!
They grinned and leaned back in the comfy armchair they had stolen found, awaiting the first visitors to their shop.

Mordicai had been wandering for quite a while. And by wandering, he meant he was Ina floating chair that he had written up. Walking would have been such a horrible hassle. The town had been so loud, far too many people to write in peace. Far too many times had he started writing a monologue when he'd been interrupted by the loud sounds of people outside. No, these wounds were far more peaceful. Except... What was that? Mordicai floated over quickly, looking the cottage over. He read the sign over and smiled. "Well isn't that just quaint!" He hopped out of his seat, which melted into a patch of ink beneath him. Deciding that it was worth a further peek, Mordicai ventured inside the shop. "... Hello?"

EDIT: ((Oh god uh pretend that I didn't know someone commented before me))
Lydia had received a flier earlier that week, but before today the little cottage near the woods had been closed off. The ad had advertised it as an apothecary, which was bound to have something that would help the lingering side effects of a ghoul bite on her leg, but at the bizarre landscaping and vaguely threatening sign she began to have some second thoughts. Searching through her mother's ancient book of healing spells for some specific to ghouls wouldn't be too difficult, would it?
She shook her head. If this shop had been set up by a fellow guild member, she was safe. Cult members stuck together- right? That was a thing? Lydia sighed and reserved herself to making sure she'd brought along a variety of things to barter with.
Pushing the door open, she was immediately greeted with a range of scents, some malicious, others benevolent. She stepped inside quietly, her eyes scouring the shelves. It was a quaint little place, to say the least, but the atmosphere reminded her of a glen filled with glowing mosses, multicolored mushrooms, faeries not unlike her mother, and small animals chittering about the latest goings-on in the forest. Ahead of her, the presumed storekeeper leaned back in what looked like a comfortable chair despite signs of mould.
Lydia stepped forward, her staff making a hollow sound through the floor. "Excuse me?" she asked, trying not to appear or sound as nervous as she was.

Zeltain nearly lept out of their seat at the sound of the door. Two customers at once! Lucky day! They leaned forward with a grin and waved at the two newcomers.
"Welcome Welcome! Hello howdy, welcome to my shop. Feel free to look around or-" They eyed the girl with a truly curious staff, "If there's something you're looking for, you're welcome to ask!"

Mordicai leaned back, vaguely startled. "Peachy... I was just going to enquire about the sign on the door. A bit upfront, perhaps?"

Lydia almost jumped at the sudden energy of the shopkeeper. Their eyes tracked her and a wave of fear began to overtake her mind, but pulled through it. "Thank you," she said. "Uh, do you have anything involving curing a ghoul bite? It's not too large, luckily, but I've no way of healing it myself as of right now." She stammered slightly as she spoke, especially with the intensity of the demon's gaze on her, but simply gripped her staff tighter and stepped closer.

Zeltain's attention was momentarily drawn back over to the gent in the poofy pants. They leaned their elbows against the counter.
"Oh you'd be surprised what people think about a shop run by a demon! I need it to be clear I don't use customers for ingredients! How will I sell anything if you guys thing the stomach membrane in my Stamina Tincture is from Jimmy next door? I won't, that's how." They broke off and a snicker and then rolled their head back over to look at the girl.
"Oh oh oh! A ghoul bite huh?" They winked at the poofy-panted gentleman, "I'll be with you in a moment, sir!" and then hopped out of their chair to search through the bottles on the shelves behind the counter.
"Ghoul bite ghoul bite... You'll probably want a salve for that, hun! Let me just find the right one. Something with faerie dust and tea tree oil probably." They hummed to themselves.

Mordicai made a face, slowly trying to process what he had just heard. Stomach membrane? What does someone even use a stomach membrane for? Did he even want to know? Mordicai eventually came to the decision that he was rather fine not knowing. He was just about ready to make a very well-planned and witty comment about how there didn't seem to be anyone next door, Jimmy or otherwise, but the demon had already turned away. Such was his luck. Mordicai glanced a bit around at some jars on a shelf, which seemed far more suspicious now than they had before. Satisfied with that, he glanced at the other person who had entered the shop. She was looking nice enough, but where in blazes was she getting ghoul bites?

Lydia relaxed at the demon's boisterous nature. "Thanks," she said as they began searching for something for her. She listened to them hum, and a faint smile grew on her lips. "What will you take in exchange for it?" she asked, leaning her staff against the counter to fish through her bag. "I saw that your flier said you accepted gold and bones" -she pulled out a fingertip sized nugget of gleaming gold- "so I do hope this will be enough."
She looked up for a moment before pulling out a couple bird bones. "I brought some assorted bones if not," she added awkwardly. Turning to the other customer, she blushed slightly. "I'm assuming you're another member of the Candle Cult?" she asked.

Mordicai realized he had been staring far too long, and now she was talking to him. Great. Mordicai nodded slowly, refusing to make actual eye contact. "Yeah, yeah I am... Guess you are too, then?" He hoped that sounded very stoic, but it had come out in a jumbled enough rush that he doubted it.

Zeltain's ears perked as they heard the payment offer and their zwings quivered with delight. Not only two visitors on the first day, but one with GOLD! They floated up and peered amoungst the jars. ONE DAY they'd remember exactly where they put everything. They heard conversation behind them, but at last they picked a small wooden tub off one of the upper shelves before landing their feet back on the ground and turning to place it on the flat of the counter.
"Here you are miss! And yes, the gold will suffice! Though I am interested in looking at the bones."

Lydia nodded. "You'd be correct in assuming that, yes," she said. She turned back as the shopkeeper returned, and spread the bones she'd retrieved on the counter. "Most of these are from a vulture, but some older ones are from eagles," she said, gesturing to two different groups of bones as she spoke. "And thank you for the salve." She smiled a little bit showing them off, they were good quality bones and it had been a miracle she'd found the carcasses while out on a job in the first place.

Zeltain inspected the bones, extending a tendril from one of their zwings to hold a magnifying glass over one eye, admiring the quality. "These are lovely indeed! I'll just take the gold today, but if you're ever in need of anything else feel free to stop in with those bones." Zeltain murmured, still in awe as they leaned back.
"One ghoul-bite-be-gone salve for one gold nugget. It's just regular strength, but it should do the trick! Just apply a thin layer twice a day until it's healed." They informed, sliding the wooden tub across the counter to the girl.

Lydia smiled, carefully taking back the bones she'd laid out. "I'll keep that in mind," she said with a smile. Handing the nugget over, the took the salve and stashed it carefully in her bag, muttering another word of thanks. She stood straight again for one last minute and took her staff. "I'll definitely be coming back. The name's Lydia, for when we meet again," she said, and with that, turned and began to take her leave.
For someone who looked ready to use her faerie traits for a potion, this Zeltain wasn't bad at all. She took one last glance around the shop, taking in every last wood grain, vine, bottle, and knickknack before reaching for the door.

"It was a pleasure to have you in my shop, Lydia! And a greater pleasure to meet you! I'm Zeltain, well, obviously. I await your next visit, and I hope that salve does the trick for ya."
Zeltain now picked up the gold nugget, now examining that with the magnifying glass. They let out low giggle and strolled over to the chest at the end of the counter, unlocking it with a snap and placing the gold inside before locking it again.
Though something popped into their mind just as Lydia reached the door and they turned to call out. "Hey wait! I have a question for you before you go."
