Mordant was confused when he encountered no one in the catacombs. His supervisor Niax would usually find him for some work around this time or at least let him out to the forest so he wouldn't bother anyone. The disturbing lack of people in the area was a change for Mordant. He walked along in the silence, the blue flames of the torches around him flickering as he passed. He tugged at his shroud as he rounded another corner and saw no one. He walked further down and jumped lightly as he felt a wave of energy pass over him. The blue fire on the wall went out and then were revived with red and yellow flames rather than the familiar blue. The energy contorted Mordant's senses and made him feel ill at ease. As he struggled to regain his footing he smelled someone approaching him further down the hall. He tried to focus through the energy haze that hit him and he called out in a nervous raspy voice.
"Iss friendss?"

As Eris rounds the corner with Artemis on her shoulder she spots another of the cultists walking along the halls, this one shrouded and looking scared.
It's head turns towards you and it calls a questions, sneering she responds by drawing her blade and signals Artemis to shot to incapacitate.

Enfer was walking through the halls of the cult, relieved to have so piece and quiet after all the chaos that has been happening. His eyes widened when he noticed two cult members up ahead, one very familiar to him, the other unknown, probably a snack who had just joined.

Mordant sensed the animosity before he saw the fireball and his maw snapped open quickly to swallow the attack directed at him. Smoke rose from between his jagged teeth and he hissed. He pulled the shroud from his face and bent backwards to allow his maw to stretch wide as his blue flame grew brighter.
"ISS NOOT FRIEEND. I WILL EAAT."
The single eye in his stomach glared at his attacker, the form of the knight becoming clear in the reddish fire lining the walls. He haphazardly launched himself towards his target, the rib-like teeth surrounding his maw clacking violent against each other as they stretched out like spears.

A silent hand signal has Artemis going for the second creature approaching the fight, Eris doesn't bother to watch as Artemis launches fire and claws at it's face.
Drawing blade Eris sprints towards the beast seemingly made of mouth, fainting right and darting left to aim a slash up along the side of it's maw.

Echo walked through the halls, looking at the new pendant she had found. She stopped as she heard someone around the corner. Echo rounded the corner, soon finding the source of the arguing. Mordant and another member were standing in the hall.

Mordant gave a raspy roar as his side was scored with the blade. It had been a long time since he had been hunted. He slammed down on the ground and his teeth dug into the stone as he stopped his momentum. He rose again and he glared at his opponent as they readied another blow. As they slashed, one of his teeth parried the blow. And Mordant reached out his hand to grab the knight's wrist.
"Iss noot friend... iss noot welcome heree..."
Mordant was surprised as the small human thrust their sword into his maw and he let her go. Before he could clamp onto her hand she dodged away and Mordant squared off with her again.
"Straange humaan... I doon't like yoou." He declared angrily.

Echo quickly ran to the two. "Wait! Don't fight!" She ran to Mordant's side. "Why does everyone have to fight?!"

Enfer knew that this would be the best time for him to step in; he hated the fact that everyone was now fighting and on edge ever since these Puppeteers took over and began to capture everyone.
"Please! Everyone stop fighting, we're all allies here!" Enfer shouted.

Mordant pushed Echo behind him and directed his maw at the knight while Enfer drew closer and the small gryphon returned to its master. Mordant was glad to have found friends, but he knew that the little human before him was no ally.
"Iss noot friend..." Mordant said firmly. "Staay baack. Iss trouble, Echoo..."

Mordant didn't answer as he put his hand to the cut on his side. He took his shroud and put it over Echo's face.
"Doon't look. Iss baad humaan. I WILL CONSUME IT." Mordant said as he grew more and more feral. The blood streaming from his side added to his rage and his maw flexed with anticipation as he focused on his enemy.

Echo blinked as Mordant's shroud covered her face. Since she couldn't see, she would have to rely on hearing. She pressed herself against the wall, trying to stay out of the way.

((It's a bit late but i'll point out that Eris has a giant puppeteer symbol on her chest))
Eris glances at the small one being protected by the horrific thing before her and dismises it as a clear child, focusing on the first and second oponent instead, there is nothing honourable in killing a child, beast or not, an abomination a dragon however?
Vicious laughter escapes Eris's mouth at the idea, there is much glory to be had here.
Sword raising over her head Eris swings down, aiming to take limbs of the monster.

Enfer's ears twitched and moved out the way of the blade, his eyes flashing red as he growled at the girl. "Bad move girl..." Enfer growled, his voice changing in pitch as Dante took over, his irises turning blood red as his scalera turned jet black. The hybrids tail cracked like a whip as he dropped down to all fours--Dante was very violent when it came to people attack his host, especially when they were these Puppeteeer bastards.
