"Is that so..." Vermiculus said, crossing his arms as his wolf Shiro walked up next to him and wagged his tail at the sight of the girl then walked past the two as he began to follow Enfer around the corner after he saw the hybrid take his shards.
Vermiculus was curious to see where his beast was going as h listened to Scho but keeping his eyes glued on the wolf as it walked around the corner

"As much as I would love to teach such a little thing like yourself, but I'm very busy when it comes to taking care of my pets," Vermiculus said in an over dramatic tone, trying to sound apologetic when he secretly knew that Enfer was hiding.

"Please? no one else likes me." Echo pleaded. She knew Enfer was close, and even if Vermiculus knew, she was going to keep this going.

"Well...since you asked so nicely, I'll help you," Vermiculus said, smiling behind his mask as he wrapped an arm around Echo's shoulder. "Sooo...Echo? Was it? To be of any use, you'll need to learn how to use a weapon and get a beast of your own," The Puppeteer explained, his silver daggers appearing like magic, each one looking different close up. "For example, I have many daggers, some are poisonous, others cause paralysis or cause people to fall unconscious...and of course you've seen one of my beasts, Shiro," Vermiculus explained as he gestured for her to enter his room, calling for Shiro who came from around the corner, entering the room and laying in his bed made of pillows and covers.

She did. She kept track of Enfer through her thoughts though. She listened to the man talk.

Vermiculus decided that he had enough of this game as he pulled out a dagger and pushed it through the girls hand, pinning her to her seat as the puppeteer crossed his arms and said,"this game of yours was fun, but I grow bored of something that repeats for too long...so, tell me why you thought it was nesessary for my pet to steal that worthless trinket?"

Echo cringed as the dagger went through her hand but didn't scream. "It was given to him by someone important. I'm not letting you take it." She spoke through gritted teeth. She let down her illusion, showing her black cape and wings. Blood started pouring from her small hand.

"Hm...just the sight of that thing was an eye sore, but it is very fun watching you two try so hard to get back such a thing so I guess I can let you win this game just once," Vermiculus said, twisting his dagger, listening to the pained groans come from the Mindreader before ripping it out. "Tell my pet that he won't be punished for entertaining me so much," The puppeteer said as he waved the girl off.

Echo cradled her blood covered bleeding hand to her chest. 'Enfer, we have to leave, are you done?' Echo sent her thoughts to Enfer. If she spoke, she'd probably scream. It would help if her powers helped her heal herself. But they were purely to help others. She stood outside the door, waiting for Enfer.

Ended had just put the shards together, staring at the last one in his hand as he put it in its correct spot, smiling when all the pieces began to mold together. Enter gently picked it up, feeling a warm, loving pulse of a heart in his palmas he hugged ut to his chest, sighing happily when it began to beat in time with his own heart. He attatched the gem to his necklace, a dim glow pulse a could times before he heard Echo's voice and he responded back,"I've restored my gem, we can go now..."

Echo looked up at Enfer as he came out. She motioned for them to leave. Echo shrouded herself in her cloak, covering everything, and putting her hood back on her head as she moved silently, still not trusting herself to say a word.
