Glancing around carefully Amaya spotted one of the skeletal cave creatures prowling around, another not far behind it, luckily they hadn't been noticed yet but she doubted it would stay that way for long.
"We must go quickly, the emergency escape isn't far from here but those beasts are everywhere, we must not be seem or we'll be trapped in the tunnels!"
Setting off as fast as she could while still making no noise, Amaya quickly led them to the entrance, a boulder covered in vines and moss it didn't look any different from the forest surrounding them.
Shoving it aside she ushered the others in quickly and pulled it back into place behind them.
"Do any of you hear anything trying to follow us?"

At the confirmation that the tunnel was clear Amaya smacked one of the crystals on the wall, the chemicals within reacting and quickly brightening the dim tunnel to near daylight.
"These aren't going to last long but the tunnel isn't that long so we should be fine, if they're not here yet then the store room is still clear."
Moving swiftly along the tunnel the opening to the store quickly came into view, on the left wall to wall windows sat in a smiling curve revealing a view of the lake and setting sun, more night than twilight at this point, and the masses upon masses of skeletons scouring the area, to the right the room stretched far back into the hill, dyeing equipment, mannequins in every shape and size, random bolts of fabric and closed cupboards filling the room.
"They know we're here but not where, try to not use any lights if you can." she hissed, darting over to the window and closing the curtains as fast as she could.

Echo quickly followed, making as little sound as she could. "Enfer, do you remember how to attach the soul to a vessel?" She whispered.

"Yes, I remember...but it would be best if we attatched it soon before those creatures catch up with us," Enfer said, talking about the skeletons

Echo nodded, pulling out the crystal. She stopped, a thought making it's way into her mind. She looked up at Dante as she held the crystal.

Echo shook her head and turned back around. She stared at the crystal in her hands. The crystal that held her mate. "What's going to happen to us?" She whispered to herself.

"It'll be okay Echo, Dante has been through many things in his life, especially losing someone important so if you need to tell him, it would be best to do so now," Enfer explained, putting a hand on the girls shoulder and smiling at her

Echo shook her head and turned around, tears falling down her cheeks. "That's just it! I don't want to leave him!" Echo thrust the crystal into Enfer's hands and flew ahead of everyone, her thoughts jumbling together.

Enfer was shocked by the sudden outburst, looking down at the dimly glowing crystal in his hands. Dante was just as surprised as Enfer as he ran off after the mindreader, flying after her, leaving Enfer to keep the crystal as he put it in his pocket and stuck to the group, he decided it would be best not to interfere, especially when he knew Dante could take care of it himself

Echo flew around the corner, landing hastily and leaned against the wall. She closed her eyes and put her hand over her mouth, silencing her sobs.

"Echo! Echo, please tell me what's wrong! I want to help," Dante called, looking for the mindreader, the sight of seeing her cry saddened him, more than worry when he saw her fly off in a hurry.

Echo stayed where she was. The fear of both losing him and facing him terrified her. Even more than the skeleton monster threat that loomed over them all

"Where did she go? Okay, calm yourself, you just need to relax and follow the scent," Dante said to hmself, taking a deep breath as he followed Echo's scent, finding the mindreader after a couple minutes of searching.
