October 2019 will be the first October that I won't have school unfortunately so I'll probably end up missing it if we're looking at 2017-2018 ^^' but otherwise, I can't wait to see how this fleshes out.

Considering it's two years from now and the wild differences in the schedules everyone has we can definitely move it to a common date that the most people can go on, summer, Christmas, easter would all be good for me, what sort of times in the year would you guys all be available?

I am so excited! Could you imagine if we actually did this?! Sadly, I probably wouldn't be able to come bc I'm 13 and probably not traveling anywhere without my parents till at least untill college or university.

Summer is the most likely time I think simply because everyone gets a break at similar times, I think for transport we should all try to get to the same airport, seeing as Portland is (I think) the county city of Oregon maybe Portland international? Plus its pretty likely to have convention halls considering its size

So now that we have a list of venues and idea of prices I think we should decide an approximate length of time for the con to actually happen, taking into account the costs of the halls (at a capacity of 100 people per room considering the current rate the cult is growing) we can be looking as high as $1500 to as low as $500 per day, so I don't think we should exceed a five day con if even that high.

Your sacrifice was weak.
Throw in some Danimals next time.
Now.
As far as a cultcon goes, it's plausible. But before we go jumping ship and throwing all kinds of money into it I think simply organizing meetups at already existing cons first would be a simpler, and less expensive option. Not to mention the Cult hasn't even been active a full year. It's preferable we have that length of time to solidify ourselves and what we do before going out and say, selling merch or setting up cons.
I'm not saying this isn't going to happen- simply that the stars are not in alignment for it anytime soon- even if "soon" is a two year period.
That's all I have to say on the matter. You can certainly continue planning if you'd like, so there's reference for this sort of event in the future but for now- no.

Thank you for responding Ma'am, and even if it's not going forward I'm glad we can still be allowed to meet with fellow cultists!
Unfortunately for meetups I have absolutely zero frame of reference for events outside of Ireland and google hasn't been much help, so if anyone wants to organise small meetups at cons it'll be up to yourselves, perhaps as has been said one day but one day seems far off, if nothing else it at least means that more of the younger members will be able to attend as they'll be of age for flying at that point, so if it does happen we in fact get to meet more of out friends! ^u^

As for pre-existing conventions there are plenty, the main issue being location and getting at least a small sum of people there for it to even count as a cult meetup. The closer to everyone the better. As for hoping to go to Oregon due to the high amount of gravity falls influence I'll say Oregon has jack shit for conventions and the first one remotely close to home was if I recall correctly, this year. Although I don't get much info and am way out of the loop especially for someone who lives in the state feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but as of now this is the info I have. Luckily since there was one con here and malls are working towards pandering to people from bigger cities there is a high chance more will be on the way. I have some friends who keep up with cons and shit for cosplay reasons so I can ask them about upcoming cons as well.

You all have jumped a gun here tbh, we haven't even had our one year anniversary! Its a cool idea and the admins had thought of it as a thing at one point in the far far future but very implossible right now. Getting together with peeps at cons is what I'm going to do in Washington! if anyone else lives in the general area we could do a meet up at Comic-con or other cons that goes on such as sakura-con or something. (also i just realized tapi did say a thing here so hehe)
